Okay I have done the grits and eggs several times now but haven't got it down. I want to do them in the micro with reg grits NOT instant. Couldn't remember the ratio.....also the egg cooked a bit too much but I loved it and will try again and again.

That sounds really good. I love poached eggs and grits but never thought to put them together. Yummy

My husband loves grits. He had an idea that we could cook/poach eggs in with the grits. I tried it and it is wonderful. I cook the grits for 3 minutes, add 2 eggs (just crack them into the grits), cover, cook an additional 4 minutes until the whites are cooked but the yolk is still runny. I served this with whole wheat toast and orange juice! delicious!
