I no longer eat movie popcorn, I sneak in steamed edamame from the food court instead. It gives me the salt I love but with protein instead of fat. Wish they sold it at the concession stand but their profit margin would tank. Even if they just had a fat free popcorn option it would help.

I no longer eat fried foods
I now eat baked, poached and grilled foods only!

I no longer drink sugar and creamer in my coffee ...
I now use a sugar free flavored creamer or Half/Half and sugar free vanilla syrup!

I no longer eat cookies; now I eat fresh fruit instead. When i get home from work i would go straight to the cookie jar for a tide-me-over nibble. Now i keep cubed melon in the refrigerator and snack on that when i get home. Feels so much better!

I no longer drink anything but cranberry water. About an 8 to 1 ratio using mostly water mixed with 100% cranberry juice, no sugar added (don't try it straight!). It makes the water very refreshing and flavorful, and you get the wonderful benefits of cranberry juice! It is very addicting and when I am thirsty I crave it!

i longer drink sweet tea; i will either have water with lemon (if I need a lil sweet I'll add a packet of splenda)...

...but next step is to stop using Propel in my water at work during the day and start using fresh fruit...had water with slices of cucumber floating in the pitcher and it WAS SO GOOD!!

I no longer eat the Yoplait, Dannon, etc. yogurts and eat Greek yogurts instead. I buy plain Greek and dress it up with flavorings and fruit. No more added sugar and presrvatives for me!!!

So many changes I've made that I could say a lot of different things here, but I'll go for one of the major ones.
I no longer eat sweets all day. I now eat a very small piece of dark chocolate maybe once a day when I really must have that chocolate fix or satisfy that sweet tooth with something other than the fruit I plan with my meals.

I now rarely use butter or any fat or oil spread on bread, toast or even cooked vegetables. In sandwiches I put mustard or low-fat mayo directly on the bread, for cooked veggies, I spray a little olive oil into the pot of cooked vegs and add some herbs--dill or parsley usually.

I no longer eat boxed rice mixes - I make my own and cut the sodium by 75%! I just saute a little onion, then when I add the water (or low-sodium chicken broth) I add spices according to what I am serving it with - Garlic powder, paprika, italian seasoning, or other spices. I also sometimes add left over veggies or cut up carrots really small (so they cook while the rice cooks) and add them. Helps to have just a bit more veggies in the diet!

I no longer eat WHITE RICE; now I eat BROWN RICE or BARLEY instead.

The brown rice and barley really fill me up for a much longer time.

what did you used to eat but no longer do because of the fat/calories/other? what do you now substitute with instead?

I no longer eat mayo, now use spices like mrs. dash instead.
