Thank you, for the emails. I am having a problem sticking to a program. Feeling a bit down these days. I just finished a college diploma program and do not have any job offers. It is in the school system so they will not be hiring untill september. I send my kids to school and my husband off to work. Then I am alone. I tried the gym but my muscles hurt for a week. I have dvds but just can not stay motivated. I am not eating properly. I feel that it is hard to concentrate when you are alone alot. the only thing that I have that is social is my tops group I am the leader and I have to motivate peole. I have programs to follow so that makes it easier. I only got to be leader so the group would not shut down. I have issues with anxiety and depression. So if I do not check my messages sometimes it is probly because I am having a down day. So thanks for your emails. carol emoticon

This set of exercises will definitely be on my favorites list. I could REALLY feel it. I know that doing this regularly will really help tone that backside, which is good because my primary job has me sitting for the entire 8 hour tour.

This video is also part of the new Spring challenge and given the problem area it targets, should probably be part of my regular exercise routine. FYI: for those who have a problem with one or both knees, I perform this exercise while bending over and putting my hands on a coffee table. Still works wonderfully and without painful knees.

started the challenges did today's ... I've been not too active in here but I really need some encouragement ... I'm having a hard time loosing the weight... I'm on Metformin and it's not letting me loose... I need to talk to the Doc to see if she can change my med... Can't seem to stay below 200 lbs... but my sugar has been ok 112 this morning and 80 yesterday morning ... I'm taking Glipizide-metformin twice a day... but was just on metformin before... it's helping with the sugar but not the weight control I've been not loosing . Changed meds awhile back to Ongliza and it was working and I was loosing ... I need to see if the doctor will change it so I can start loosing again... Thanks for reading... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated also encouragement is welcome too...

I love this video. I did it last night as an extra video to do. I will do a different video tonight to make up for this one since I do not need to overwork the same muscles. emoticon

I think I'll have time for this after softball practice before the Biggest Loser comes on. I didn't do yesterday's challenge or the chair aerobics one, I'll see if I can complete at least 2 of them today.

emoticon I guess this means you are still with us!!! Let's make this a FANTASTIC Tuesday emoticon

Your challenge today only takes 6 minutes! You can do this...here it is:

VIDEO: Coach Nicole's Butt-Blasting Workout
Four Moves for a Tighter Tush
www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness
_a
rticles.asp?id=727

About This Workout
Did you know that the gluteus maximus is actually the largest AND strongest muscle in the human body? This muscle works hard when you run or briskly walk—especially when going uphill. But women also tend to store fat in the buttocks. While fat storage here is normal and healthy, excessive fat storage on top of the largest muscle in the body can result in a lot of bulk. With age, this area can become droopy and flat—an appearance that most women want to avoid.

If you're tired of performing endless squats and lunges in hopes of slimming and shaping your derrière, then this short, focused workout is for you. These exercises target the gluteus maximus to retain strength and muscle tone, and also work the surrounding muscles, including the gluteus medius (located at the superior and outer portion of the buttocks), gluteus minimus (located underneath the gluteus maximus) and the tensor fascia lata (near the quadriceps). After just six minutes of these targeted exercises, you WILL feel the burn and notice tighter and firmer muscles over time.

Length: 6 minutes
Equipment: Body weight, mat (optional, for cushioning)
Type of Workout: Strength training (toning) & flexibility
Muscles Worked: Glutes
Fitness Level: Beginner to advanced
Impact: Low-impact

Safety Precautions: A mat will help cushion your body on the floor. Since this video will work your muscles to fatigue, rest at least 1-2 days before doing additional gluteal exercises.

NEW! Track Your Workout: Scroll down to the bottom of the video page and click the "Add to Fitness Tracker" button. (You must be logged in for this to work.)

Extra Tip: Only complete as many exercises as you can, taking a break as needed. As you progress, try to finish the entire video.

emoticon Come on back and let us know what you think about this challenge!!!

Have a TERRIFIC Tuesday emoticon
