Oh my this is great. I am not a drinker of water, juice, etc. In fact I have been known to make a cup of coffee last 6 hours. Never have I consumed liquid of any kind in big amt. As a result, I felt horrible and had many headaches due to dehydration. But NOW... I have consumed 200 cups of water since 1-1-11 and my goal is 248! I actually desire the water now, and yes that sounds odd even to me. I had always heard that it would be that way, but didn't really believe it. I'm a believer now. Thanks Spark family for supporting me on my new journey! emoticon

Just a question...I just read Healthy Diet Habit #4 about the importance of water. It said that you can get your water from different sources such as fruit juice, decaf coffee, tea and even milk. Should these drinks be counted as part of the 8 glasses of 'water' a day that I've always been told I should have or should those 8+ glasses be strickly water?

Was doing really well until yesterday. I didn't meet my goal of 8 cups of water. Really no excuse. Went to the Mall of America and decided to carry water with me when we were walking but for lunch had diet soda. I'm back on track today.

I read in someones secrets that water really works and you should drink an ounce of water for every pound you weigh. I really need to get in more water. Any other challengers. My plan this week is to drink a lot more water. I have been getting in about 10 or more cups a day but that is only 80 ounces. I need more.

I will have no problem with this challenge.
I have up all sodas/tea back in June. All I drink is water!

I drink 8 cups everyday while sitting at my desk, and then more water with my dinner - LOL! My husband says I'm nothing but water on the inside.

I am not sure how many oz they count for a glass. But I will commit to 8 x 8oz = 64oz a day for the rest of the month.

So far I have met or exceeded my personal challenge I posted earlier... to commit to drinking 8 8oz glasses of water per day! As a matter of fact, I drank 13 8oz glasses on Thursday!

And thanks to this challenge, and just getting my foot back in the door to health, I lost 7.4lbs this week.... my first week back! Thank you!

Life's too short to lay on the couch, out of breath, and watch it pass by. Get out there and help make the breeze stirring the hair on your lazy neighbor's head!
I'd rather look the fool dancing and playing around with my kids, than to feel the fool not being able to keep up with them and missing out on their lives.

I am new to challenges but I am up for this...I am not a water drinker(bad) and plan to change it this month(good). To meet 8 glasses per day starting now I need to consume 11 glasses of water a day. This is the first step to the new me!
