You got in some good exercise Ellen. It's windy, again, so I didn't ride Buddy as long as I intended. He doesn't do well with the wind. Plus they were working at the ranch, fixing it up, and I think the noise had him a bit frazzled as well. Tomorrow should be better!

I only did 165 minutes today including dance and aerobics and some heavy housework. Sue & Tiana came to lunch and it rained so we didn't go for a walk.

I can't watch my computer and do exercises because the space is very small. My kitchen is rather far to listen to the computer as well. I do have a stereo that I turn on while cleaning and I sometimes dance to it while cleaning.

I got on You Tube, and looked around for a form of dance exercises. I love music. I found this one guy, and he isn't hard to follow. One doesn't have to be a perfect dancer, just have fun with it. This guy has a few videos. Check it out. Or if you don't like him, just find songs you really like, and dance to them. I put on music sometimes if I am cooking dinner, and dance then.

Hmmmm.....I haven't had any issues lately, knock on wood!

I seemed to have lost my motivation for exercise. Maybe it is because it is winter? I don't know.... How do I re-motivate myself?

That is a real good workout Kim! Well done!
Yesterday we walked 2 miles, but it took over 3 hours with our granddaughter. We had fun walking up hills and running back down so we probably walked a bit further than that. Did 270 minutes altogether. We didn't get home till 7.30. I was so tired, and spark was not working properly so I couldn't post, so I went to bed at 10.15pm and slept through till 8.30am this morning.

So much for my 90 day workout via dvds. I spent half the week shovelling snow instead, 90 minutes today alone!! I'm tired!! I'm also feeling it in my thighs and shoulders. That snow was heavy!

I still haven't gotten my Day 2 in, but blame it on the weather! I got up to shovel snow this morning, so that was my workout. After that I needed to go to the store to get some staples if we can't get out later. The store had no milk, not the 2% I like, but only a few half gallons of 1/2% which is like drinking water if you ask me. I did find 1- 1% half gal.

The second storm is just starting!!

Didn't get a walk in today as they came to put up our solar panels after a 2 month wait. Did 90 minutes aerobics some yoga and Wii bowling 225 minuutes total

Well, it's not that I'm not tracking. I'm not exercising! emoticon I'm blaming the weather. I have videos, but I'm still blaming the weather. Denial works, eh?

New week starting & I *AM* going to increase activity. That won't take much since last week's consisted of some reps with dumb bells & about a 10 minute walk. sigh...

Sun is out today, so I AM going to exercise. Really I am. Go ME!

I love Paps. Almost got one before my Cavalier came into my life. He's a much better fit for me, but Paps are darling!

Did 210 minutes today! Walked round the lake. Didn't see any springers today, but there was a lovely 6 month old puppy. It was a papillon, jack russell cross and it was so pretty with papillon ears and face.

I worked for 2 hours 10 minutes in the garden. Walked for 30 minutes, thats 1 mile. Did 90 minutes strength training. Oops! 20 minutes yoga and played Wii bowling for 60 minutes thats 330 minutes altogether.

I will be starting over this week! I heard that we are supposed to get rain, then freeze, then snow this week. Roads and sidewalks will be terrible if it freezes! Yuck!! I will be working out inside!!

Oh good! Maybe this will give me the boost I need. The Spaniels actually like the rain, but my Basset, my usual walking partner, does not. I think he's convinced that he's made of sugar & will melt if he gets wet. Nobody told him the tracking dog part.

My dogs are my main motivation for exercise, but I do need to get back to videos for when weather isn't cooperating.

Hi, Can I play too?
Just to keep things confusing, I track miles if I walk outside, minutes if I do indoor videos or something. Will that matter?

I was exercising faithfully until around Thanksgiving when the weather got truly yucky & haven't really gotten back on track yet. Did a Leslie Sansone 1 mile for 20 minutes Thursday. Need to get back to exercise regularly. I joined a 1 lb a week challenge; exercise is the ONLY way I'll pull that one off.

I'm in rainy Oregon & have deep admiration for anyone who can shovel snow at all, let alone for an hour. I need an Aleve & hot mocha just reading about it!

Worked out for 16 minutes doing a total body strength training dvd using resistance bands. It's a start, need to work up to doing it longer and more resistance!!

Sunday and Monday I did an all over strength training routine and an abs routine. Today I walked a mile. Tomorrow I will do both ST and Ab routines!
I want to work off this hips and waist. I tried on a bathing suite this morning....yikes! I think I need to get one that has a skirt to it to hide everything including my hip replacement scar.

No walking or strength exercises last week, just lots of yard work. So far this week it's around 90 degrees. I need to get acclimated to the heat and humidity.

Did some strength training today, so tomorrow will need to do cardio!! Need to get back to moving and get up of my lazy hindend!!

I think grass is the hardest thing to uproot... the roots make a web and mesh all together. Back breaking! My favorite thing to pull is dandelions in flowerbeds. If I patiently wiggle it around before I pull and then use a slow and steady upward movement, I can often get the whole root with no tools. So satisfying. Dandelions in the lawn, however, is another story!

I haven't walked today, but I certainly did get some work in on the upper body. I am tearing out a section of grass to make my garden bigger. While I am doing this, I am questionning myself as to why I am doing this. It is a bigger project than what I was thinking. I only did a small section, but that was alot of work today!! Still have a ways to go!! Not sure when I will get back at it, because it is suppose to rain the next couple of days.

Now that my knee is better, I'm trying to walk 5 or 6 days a week, aiming for 20-25 miles per week. I am a bit behind on my schedule for my goal of 1000 miles this year but I definitely think I can catch up by the end of the summer.

So far this week, I've walked 2.5 miles. Next time I mow the grass, I am going to have to wear my pedometer to see how far I walk.

My knee is feeling better, so I did my 4.2 miles today, but sloooooowly! I think it took about an hour and a half, but I'm not limping! Hopefully I can get back into my exercise routine now, never to foolishly try jogging again!!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
