Today presented me with one of life's "tender mercies", and without even trying I managed to get in 10 minutes of fitness activity. True, it involved doing things that had to be done, and it wasn't so fun while I was doing them - but when looking my blessings of the day, I recognized that I actually did do something for myself while I was taking care of business! A good day, for sure!

Monitoring for standardized testing yesterday & today gave me 120 walking minutes each day.

Hi I'm back, I didn't do really well with the challenge I let things get in the way. Then I had to get ready for our Family Vacation. It was NICE. I walked on the Beach most everyday and even climbed the sand dunes with my niece. I kept telling myself it's not how long it takes it's all about getting there. I made it to the top and it was even more beautiful than I could remember. Ocean on one side and Sound on the other. (ABSOLUETLY BEAUTIFUL)
My walks on the beach turned into hours. I have done a lot since getting home but I just saw the new challenge with fitness/water; so I will be joining that. I really need to up my water intake again. Some days I have noticed it's very BAD,

Today I can proudly say that I engaged in a brisk walk while the temp was only 23 degrees - so I'm giving myself an "A+" for this effort. We'll see what tomorrow brings!

Aww Lily, There's always next month. Heck, there's still 12 days in this month! Why don't you go for a 12 day streak to show March who is boss?

I still have a kickboxing class tonight, but since I already did 10 mins today I went ahead and entered that. I am officially done with my streak! Woohoooo!!

I need to confess that I've failed miserably at this fitness streak challenge. I think I took too long to 'get ready' - and now that I'm 'almost' ready, the time is almost up - but I congratulate those of you who have stayed with it.

Oh, I missed this one! :) Really pushing myself to exercise daily this month so this is perfect for me!

5 - 75min walk & Kickboxing
6 - 30min walking
7 - 50 min walking
8 - 50 min walking
9 - 53 min walking
10 - 46 min walking
11 - 70 min walking
12 - 120 min walking & kickboxing
13 - 50 min walking
14 - 13min run, 16 min walking
15 - 17min walk, 9 min shoulder weights
16 - 63min Walking, 9 min shoulder weights
17 - 73min Walking
18 - 80min walking
19 - 51min Walking
Total for the month: 875mins

I have already overshot the Spark recommended exercise minutes for the week, but I have been setting my own goals in my running application Nike + which push me pretty hard. As of Tuesday's weigh I am 10lbs down so all the crazy squeezing in of workout time has been working for me! Now to try and keep it up, or rather adjust it so that it is more reasonably manageable moving forward.

4- 9 mins. .5 mile walk and throwing softball around w/daughter (10 mins.)
5- Mall walking after all day at the Dr. (20mins.)

Welcome one and all to the March Fitness Streak Challenge! We are working off the last of the official days of winter with this challenge which will run through the 20th (the first official day of spring!
Rules:
a) use the template below, copy and paste it to a post.
b) log 10min of exercise each day
c) come here and edit your post to indicate how many minutes you did each day (we want a minimum of 10min a day, but if you do more - AWESOME!)
