Walk, and a starting a new beginner pilates blog (about finding ones abs)....learned the breathing & leg extensions. Will take this very slowly, in hopes I can memorize the exercises for future use.

I know exactly how you feel. I've been there too! But for the last 2 years I've been excercising and making a conscious effort to eat healthy. It has not always been easy. Some days I find myself wanting to make excuses...and thats ok every now and then. We aren't robots. But what I always remind myself is, that I have my whole life ahead of me to live, as healthy and unhealthily as I wish. I think your biggest problem, by the sounds of it, is something I battled with as well. Giving up on yourself, because you feel like you "failed" because you skipped one or 2 workouts and ate a few unhealthy meals. Forgive yourself, and get back on that horse! Don't you dare feel guilty! You are awesome! You are trying, aren't you? Just have faith in yourself...and if you take a wrong step every now and then , forgive yourself and move forward again.

Every breath offers the opportunity for improvement!Be it mental, physical, emotional or spiritual.

We had a brief rainstorm today after a three week period of dry heat and I took the most amazing walk in the rain. I got soaked to my undies, but it was totally worth it! Also helped me complete my 10,000 steps for today.

Sigh.....starting over.... AGAIN! Haven't exercised in 4 or 5 months. Gained all my weight back. My doctor is pretty upset since I have heart disease & Lupus. Took my first walk on Sunday. All the way back to square one. It's such an embarrassing amount of effort to get around the 1 mile trail. Totally easy for all the other normal weight people. I can't believe how many times I've quit & have had to start over. Square one is such a tough place to be physically and emotionally. I am wondering alot lately ..."what if this is as good as it's going to get?"

so far I did something crazy. at midnight I felt like walking but did not really want to walk through the streets so I went outside and walked the perimeter of my driveway. from corner to corner (all 4 of them) 80 times. it was not alot. it only equalled like 1272 steps but I got in some exercise when I was in the mood and it was cool outside so the humidity would not get to me. of course a woman was walking by with her dog and the dog was looking at me like I was nuts...lol

in a couple of hours we are going to the flea market and it is huge so I should get in alot ofwalking and steps that way too. hoping to hit the 10,000 mark today. I have been close but never hit it yet because I work from home on the computer

I did 20 minutes of burpees and then did some ab workout and jogged in place for 3 minutes and I got a total of 40 minutes of working out for today. All of this before breakfast.

Big time strength training and some walking. Since I spend most of my time in a wheelchair, any walking is a triumph for me. The day we moved here, I could only walk 282 steps a day. Now I can walk for over an hour if I have to.

Spent the day slacking down at the beach with one LARGE weimaraner, one boston terrier with an attitude (don't they all?), one grandbaby who already acts like a teenager and squawks when she did not have either my cell phone OR my ipod in her hands since it is ALL about ringtones or music (although I have found out she knows how to text, dial and check my email emoticon ).

Beautiful day out in the Pacific Northwest and my feet hurt from the 6 mile walk yesterday so this worked for me!

Playing catch up - definitely continuing to exceed my planned fitness minutes. Took day off yesterday from treadmill since my feet were hurting but got in a 90 minute walk instead. Today doing walk and gym. Plan on hitting gym on my way home from overnight trip (assuming not hungover - then may just "detox" in the sauna..lol).

60 minutes incline work on the treadmill and 60 min beach walk...probably will do the same today but spend MORE time on the beach since it is going to be beautiful!

My workout today was doing a very large shopping, and loading and unloading bags from the cart to take to my apartment, and putting everything away. There was a lot of weight lifting involved!

I didn't get to hit the gym yesterday - had Aliegh until late afternoon. So technically it was all strength exercises, ie deadlifting a 22 pound baby!

I did Coach Nicole's Jump Start Cardio workout this morning. My stamina is very low, but my goal is to do this 2-3 times a week throughout this month, until it gets easy!

I haven't had the opportunity to mess with one really yet.

Doing an hour on the treadmill today - taking tomorrow off since I have the granddaughter (which technically should be considered strength training).

One of my newest favorite exercises is the Wii Fit. It makes exercise fun! There is one on there that I would love for my mom to do--it's freestep and all you do is step on and of of the board to the sound of the Wii. They even let you watch TV while doing so! You just listen to the sound on the hand controller and step each time it clicks. I think that would be AWESOME for her, very low impact but counts as exercise!

A thread to post your workouts - sometimes this is incentive to others or even just to yourself!

I actually used the hotel gym (which was of course empty and fully equipped) while I was working this weekend at the BBQ - add doing 7 hour shifts of standing/cleaning/serving food. I think I made up for all the bbq and jello shots..lol.

Got in gym time and dog walk on Tuesday. Beach walk with Abe yesterday. Gym time got tossed to the wayside - girlfriend got good news (was diagnosed with an extremely rare tumor of the bone and was just told it wasn't cancerous) so we celebrated.

Today - I am off to do the treadmill, maybe some time on the elliptical (which I tried for the first time in Houston - omg what a beast) and a long beach walk since its nice out and low tides! I have a cold starting so will see how long I last (nothing like being exposed to few thousand people and of course coming home with cold symptoms!).
