So glad you are doing better Joan. I know it must be such a relief to get back into regular stockings.

Good morning. As of 7 last night only 30% of my files had been restored, it will be until mid week before my nephew can help me get back to normal.

I'm watching Florence coverage, I understand why people didn't want to evacuate, we have so much stuff to "protect ", even Romans fleeing Pompeii trundled carts of possessions, and they all died.

We will see the remnants of the storm next week, just rain.

Florence is still raising havoc I'll bet all the people who evacuated are glad they did. But they must be pretty concerned about what they will find when they get home.

Muggy and hot here today. My pug woke me up in the night because he was having a hard time breathing. I had to start the AC again for him.

Today my son is coming to install a new yard light. Another daughter in to visit. I'll enjoy the visits~

Just dropping by to say good morning. Have my grandsons football game this morning so need to get myself ready. Of course it is a early game. But that means I get the rest of the day free.

Have a great day all.

Goood Morning EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nell, I hope the hard winds and heavy rains are not going to cause too much damage in your areas. Such a slow moving storm.

Well ladies, I have some GREAT news!!!! I've waited for so long to for this to happen......I can finally wear just the regular support stockings, and my Sciatica is so much better, its still there, but nothing like what it has been, and there is this miracle cream TRIAMCINOLONE that has healed the place up on my foot, its amazing hence the reason for my being able to wear the regular support stockings. There are so many shades of a happy color you all could paint me today so just pick out your favorite and go for it. emoticon I was beginning to think this day would never get here.

Today we have to go down to June & Don's, tomorrow is Don't 75th birthday, but his kids are coming in today, so this afternoon Ruthann, Terry & myself will go down to celebrate with them. I think I could drive, but I won't because its 17 miles down the road and even though its not that far you just don't want to push it just yet.

Hope anyone and everyone that was in the path of Florence please remain safe. Don't take any unnecessary chances. Have a wonderful weekend my friends. emoticon

Gail, I sure hope these steroids work that well for me. I do think there is a little improvement this morning and at this point I'll take anything.

Nell, how awful a hurricane with lots of rain and your computer gets sick. Love your attitude, and as they say, ''this too shall pass."

Blanche, I think I would have just gone back to bed as well.

I do think my Sciatica might be just a bit better, and I would love to go to my TOPS meeting, but I just don't trust myself to drive that distance right now.

Stay safe everyone and have a good day.

My computer got a fatal virus yesterday, my nephew erased it and it will take 5 days to reload my files. I'm on my new tablet which is a lot slower than my computer. Watching storm coverage makes me grateful for what is really a first world problem.

I see this morning that the hurricane has been reduced to a Category 1. That should ease up on the destruction.

Sorry you have another health problem, Joan. Seems as if everything is happening to you all at once. Hope the steroids do the trick.

Last night I came home from a supper out with friends about 7:30. The phone was ringing. One of my little girls wanted me to come over and make playdoh, since I was not home after school. While I was gathering the stuff to make playdoh, I couldn't find the food coloring since my girls had rearranged my cupboards. Then the shelf broke while the phone was ringing again with my little girl wanting to know where I was and how long before I'd be up. We did make the playdoh at her house, but there is still a big mess in my cupboard and on my table. I think I might just go back to bed.

Good morning all. Florence arrives in North Carolina today, all eyes are on that storm.

I have a condo board meeting tonight, it's going to be a busy one. We have a very long agenda, and there will be a lot of complainers to deal with. At least we won't have a storm outside to contend with.

How is that triamcinolone cream doing for you, Joan? I love that stuff!

All that are in the path of Florence stay safe. Take all precautions to stay safe. We are ALL thinking of you.

I know you all have to be as tired of listening about my ailments as I am reporting them. I had to cancel my hair appointment that I always look forward to, due to I could not get my foot from the gas peddle to the brake. Trust me not a fan of using the brake but sometimes we have to use it. emoticon I called Dr. B's office got an appointment to see his assistant Marsha, which was fine, but I don't think Marsha is as good of an assistant as Jennifer that was there before. But, I'm willing to give her a chance. Remember, she's the one that prescribed me the ointment that broke me out head to toe. So I had to call Ruthann , ''can you take me to Owensboro by 11 to see the doctor?" Ruthann is still in her boot, but good news its not her driving foot. She came, we went and Marsha, just shook her head when she came in, as I told her, ''I know its my Sciatica from the way it hurt, and its running down this right leg where I can't pick my foot up." So now I'm on a steroid pack. Wish me luck. When Ruthann picked my prescription up yesterday afternoon he told Ruthann, ''tell Joan since it late afternoon to take this first whole roll of steroids, then tomorrow morning to begin taking them like they are on the sheet." So I did just that. In the mean time I spoke with my brother-in-law Don who has dealt with this very same problem and he told me that four years ago he got just like me where he could not walk they put him on a steroid pack and he did that he got better, but by mid week the pain was back so he called his doctor they put him on a second steroid pack and Don said, ''I've had no problem since then." I'm thinking I must have a lot of infection in there. So that is my story, good news is I'm still staying on plan, but I may not get to go to TOPS tomorrow, but I'm not saying anything until I know more how I feel.

Stay safe everyone and have a GREAT day.

I mirror Jane T's remark that your foot healed faster than I thought it would. Glad for you . You must have caught it soon enough!

Great that the bandage poundage was erased from your last week's record! You have stayed so strong all through the losing process, despite what got thrown at you!

Last night as the little girls worked on the computers, one complained that the other was "taking all the internet". Sure enough, one computer had it and the other didn't. Such is the story of having internet (or not) out here in the country!

Glad your foot is healed Joan. That must be a relief for you. Thinking about those in the path of the storm. Even without a direct hit the abundance of rain can be a problem. It is warm again this week. Cold weather will come soon enough so enjoying the nice weather while it lasts.

Yes, Joan, that's the miracle cream. Hubby uses it, and it does wonders when I have an eczema breakout.

Looks like Florence will hit the south rather than the mid-Atlantic. I vaguely remember Hurricane Hazel in 1954, which hit North Carolina and went on up to Canada.

Errands today, at least it's finally not raining.

Thanks for the Birthday wishes. When I got home Monday my hubby had a dozen roses and a very nice card for me. I was really surprised as we quit doing birthdays a while back. I did for him last year just because and I guess he felt the same way. Was really a nice surprise.

Joan glad you feel better. Congrats on the weigh in.

Good morning everyone.

I had no idea that my leader did this, but she didn't low my weigh in last week, and I had text her sometime during the week and told her that those wrappings weighed 2.5 pounds, so when I weighed in yesterday with no wrappings on I was down 1.2. Janie said, ''I felt putting down that you were up that much was just not the right thing to do, and she said I was going to wait and see how your weight was this week, and it all worked out." She told me she just used my last weeks weigh in as a ''no weigh in" week. I was good with that.

Okay foot is healed, but I am having to use a cream called, ''TRIAMCINOLONE" on it twice a day. Nell isn't that what you said your husband uses? I can begin wearing my regular support stocking at anytime she said, but the problem I'm having is the bandage want to roll with the stocking when I pull them up. So sticking with their stocking for a bit longer.

Hair appointment today and I can hardly wait. I get low lights done this go around, and I love it when I get those put in.

Jane T., remember they have always told us, ''the B.L.T.S. all have points." Glad the rest of your crew is on board.

Nell, stay safe. I did hear that Florence is taking a turn more to the South now, so sounds like Myrtle Beach may well get hit pretty hard.

Blanche, Michele, Jane & Beth, wishing each of you a great Wednesday. emoticon

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Joan.

Like you, Nell, the ground is pretty saturated here. We'll probably get some of the residual rain. Like you also, glad we are "up" enough so that the likelihood of getting flooded is pretty small. The cellar smells like wet weather, though.

Starbucks food must be a temptation, Jane T, when you are right there with it all the time.

Hey ladies! So glad you are feeling better Joan!

So the general discussion at work today was that we all need to stop eating the Starbucks foods and all BLTs . Everyone is disgusted with their weight and overall fitness. I gotta say it is much easier to stay on plan when everyone is on board.

All eyes are on Florence right now. We won't get the brunt of it, but the rain bands will be very widespread, and the ground is so wet there is no place for more rain to go. It's so humid that I am swollen up like a balloon.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Joan. Enjoy WW even though you still have those heavy bandages on.

We are getting a lot of rain, too, Nell. The first part of the summer was dry, and when it started raining, it has been almost non-stop.

I wonder what made you sick? I hope it passes quickly today.

I overslept, something I never do.

Hurricane Florence seems bent on a Carolina landfall, we'll get the rain. We've already had a few inches more rain year to date than we usually get in an entire year. Areas in central and western Virginia, and central Maryland, are already flooded, this will be bad for them. My geology major in college has been largely useless, but it did make me aware of land configuration when we bought this house, we have never flooded. Water moves away from the house. When huge swaths of Reston flooded during Irene, we were dry, just without power. Power outages in a storm are so widespread that it takes many days to get it all back online. We have a condo board meeting Thursday night, I hope we can all make it.

Prepare!!

emoticon Happy Birthday Michelle emoticon so glad you had a good birthday weekend. I always remember your birthday because today would have been Mr. Bob's 99th birthday, you can only imagine the celebration he's having in Heaven.

I've been up and down most of the night sick. Have no clue what brought it on or when its going to leave, but I'm sure not feeling very well.

Nell, please be careful with this new Hurricane that is heading to make land fall. I heard some area's of Virginia could get up to 26 inches of rain.

Had a little trouble getting on here this morning. Hope that's not going to be a problem.

Happy Birthday, Michelle. Glad you had a good celebration!

Daughters here again yesterday. They reorganized a lot of my cupboards. I hope I can find what I want today. It needed doing, so I'm not complaining! It will make things easier for me and for them when I'm gone.

Rain here today, too. Seems as if there's been enough rain and humidity to keep the lawnmowing as a constant chore this summer. I'm grateful that I can still do that by myself!

We are entertaining out of town friends, so I am keeping it short.

Good morning. It's a rainy, miserable morning here, the remnants of Gordon I think. Yesterday was drizzly, today is rain. The house across the street was supposed to have an open house today, but it will probably be cancelled. Who is going to come out in this? All eyes are on Florence for later this week. The last thing we need is more rain.

That process unfolds a day at a time. Those days pass, slowly looking forward, so fast looking back. We have to enjoy each day....On Plan!

Staying calm and slowing down. Things I need to work on.

Had dinner out with friends last night for my birthday. It was wonderful. Laughs, companionship, and good food. Best night in a long time.

Joan I saw on the other post how you had no get up and go yesterday. I so felt the same way. I mean to the tune of a nap. I don't usually nap. I felt so exhausted I didn't get much done. Oh well always today.

"Slow down. Calm down. Don't worry. Don't hurry. Trust the process."

Good morning everyone and welcome to a brand spanking new week. Here we are heading into the second week of September already. Time....its moving way to fast. So today's quote for the week is perfect. So many times and we've all done it, we want to hurry things alone, we want to ''get there faster." As I've gotten older I'm finding ''there is nothing fast" out there, sure not me. I am not rebounding as fast as I think I should from this foot problem, but you know what, my body thinks it fast enough. We all want to be back at Lifetime status, like yesterday, but again our bodies want to take its time. So we worry we don't understand why this is going on, and no matter how many success story we read or hear about we still tend not to trust in the process. We have trouble trusting in all the Scientific research that has gone on with the WW's plan. Oh that doesn't make us bad people, but because we can't calm ourselves down and follow the plan and even if it means moving at a snails pace, at least we are moving in the right direction. We have to remember to BREATH and BELIEVE in the process.

We are all winners here, and you may be asking Why do you day that? Well, we are winners because no matter how bad things are going in the weigh loss region for us, or no matter if we do over do the ''FREE" foods, we still show up, we suit up and we post everyday and if its even just to vent you never know when you may well be helping someone else.

Here's to a great week ahead, BREATH & BELIEVE in what your doing. emoticon
