Update to my Turkey Trot: Last year I did the Turkey Trot with basically no training. This year I had done approximately 5 weeks or so of the C25K. I beat my time by 5 minutes from last year's time. I was so excited. I was able to jog some good distances and realized that a slow and steady pace as far as jogging is what works for me right now. I had other friends that were doing it and had a much faster pace but they only beat me by a minute and a half!

Tomorrow will be my first Turkey Trot, and I'm going to walk it with a little jog from time to time. My daughter, Rose, is going to run it. I'm excited about it! emoticon emoticon

We will break up a 6 hour car trip with some walking along paths. So to all who are doing an event tomorrow: run like the wind and enjoy your event! It is fantastic to be here doing all this wonderful running.

I signed up for our local Turkey Trot last week. I have been trying to practice the intervals of walking/jogging on the actual roads for the past week or so versus my treadmill and it has been pretty hard on me. My legs just seem to get tired and my endurance isn't the greatest. So, I am just going to do my best to do walking/jogging tomorrow.

I'm hoping to run, but I'll settle for a nice long slow walk after dinner with family. Does running through the stores on Friday count? :-)

The difficult we'll do right now; the impossible might take a little while...

It's only failure when you stop trying!

Are you running tomorrow? Walking a 5K? Turkey trotting, strutting or whatever your local event is called? How did it go? Get out and move it helps fight the turkey tired.

I'm looking forward to running Detroit's Stuffing Strut 5K with my wife. Looks like rain, but we will not be deterred.
