Hi everyone, I'm new here, but old to C25K. I started in June (I think), but I keep taking long breaks, because of an issue I have with my knees. I just completed W8D2, so with only 4 runs left, I hope I will finally be able to graduate.

Signed up for the Turkey Trot here and it will be Week 9, Day 3 so I know I will be running 30 minutes of it...but since I am so slow, I will be walk/run for the rest of it. First time....I hope I don't chicken out.

Ran my first 5K today, beat the Thanksgiving rush (We here at Ohio State have a Beat Michigan 5K instead.) Good luck to everyone who's running in Turkey Trots and other races in the next few weeks!

Just finished W3D3 today, and will do the local Turkey Trot this Thursday. I'm nervous/excited as this will be my first race. I'm sure I'll be doing a lot of walking, but I'm glad I got up the nerve to do it! Good luck everyone!

Good luck to all you turkey trotters! Have a great time. I'll be doing my first 5K in December. I'll only be on week 3 or 4, but I can already walk a 5K in 60 minutes, so I know I will finish, I'll just finish faster!

Tipyrain the 5 mins aren't as bad as they sound!! Just pace yourself and you'll do great.

I tried Day 3 of week 5 yesterday and couldn't do it. I got a massive stitch in my side and had to break it up by doing a bit of running in the middle..I was so annoyed with myself but I'll keep trying and will get there in the end

I will be starting week 4 tomorrow! I'm scared to death of the 5 in. intervals!!! Any advice? I sailed through week 3. But thos eextra 2 min. have me in an absolute tizzy! emoticon emoticon

Since I'm in my first week, it's a bit early to do a 5K yet, but I am looking for 5K's in Feb and March in my area. I think signing up for one now might help me stay focused and give me an end date that I have to meet to be able to run a 5K.

I'm still on week 4 so a bit away from my first 5k just yet but there is one in my home town at the end of January so that's what I'm aiming for. If I can get myself through that then the sky is the limit.

I do the St. Pete Times Turkey Trot 5k every year w my dad... and every year I try to get closer to his finishing time. emoticon One of these days I'm going to finish right on his heels. (that's my goal anyways)

Decided there was no better day to start working on my dream to be a runner again. i felt iw ould feel really bad if i went to W1D1 so i went to W2D2 instead... and it was quite a challenge.... it was just wonderful to be out in the park running again after 4 months!!!!

Decide. Commit. Succeed.
