Completed week 3 today. The good news is that I felt like I could breathe the whole time, the bad news is that my ankles were in excruciating pain. I hope it is not the brand new shoes I just had fitted for me last weekend....

SWilliam: I use the podcast by Ullrey, but the other day I forgot my iPod so I had to use the stopwatch on my phone. That was a pain! But I would think that if you are with other people you cant really listen to an iPod, I would maybe get a stopwatch or watch that is easy to read. I believe they even have some that you can set with times and such and they will beep to let you know when to switch.

Just completed week1 day 3 but went outside as it was a beautiful day and went with 3 other people from work. Was harder to gauge the circuits, on the treadmill I have the timer right there. Does anyone use a timer when they go outside to let them know when to start/stop running and walking?

Week 4, day 3 completed!!!
It was late, the soft rain a welcome refreshment after a hot muggy day.
Zach the large sheep dog behaved mostly very well, I can really, really do this! I can run! I can run slowly but surely. I can run without pain! It feels so good.

I am on my way ... week3day2. I had to smile when I checked for upcoming races in my area to "set my sites" firmly on a goal. The idaho POTATO 5k is May 15.... how perfect. I WAS a couch potato, now I'm going to RUN the POTATO! Any other takers for the potato run ??? It is just too poetic to pass up.

Enjoy your run today ...

After being "stopped" from running by the snowpocalypse in DC for over two weeks, I redid W4D1, then did W4D3, and I did W5D1 yesterday! I couldn't believe I was able to do all of that running. I may not have been fast going up all of the hills, but I felt great afterwards!

Except for the shin pain I feel GREAT!

I used Ullrey's Podrunner and it was the motivating factor to carry this through.

I feel very proud and look forward to improving each run.

I did it! I successfully completed W1D1 - and it felt like I won a marathon!! I have never been a runner and thought I couldn't do it - but I did it!!!! Thanks for the tip on the podcast download - this really helped to know when to walk and when to run, and the music was a nice pace and motivating. Woo Hoo! I'm considering registering for the River Falls 5K in July - the timing seems right and what a motivator!! Thanks!!

Today will be W1D3. I can't wait!!
I walked 5km/hr and ran 6.5 km/hr W1D1
I walked 5km/hr and ran 6.5-7 km/hr W1D2 on the treadmill.

I am amazed how much I sweat!! It feels like I was not working out at all before! And that with only running 6 mins out of 20

Hi my name is Lin. Time zone GMT-5
The plan is to do Zumba at least 2-3 times per week and TRX or other hour long workout once per week.... (or 2 half hour workouts). Total goal 500-1000 fitness minutes weekly.

BUT i injured my knee so I have to learn to do some chair exercises. Please ask me if I started yet.... cuz I probably didnt.

I'm really surprised to find I've finished week4 d3. I have never been a runner- ever!!! And yet, I'm quite enjoying this. I find measuring time and distance a bit difficult because I can't read my watch so I'm guessing, but I just drove round the route I go and it's actually 4.7 miles, and it's taking me about 50 minutes. And I'm ok!!
I've found a track I can jog round so I'll be able to be a bit more specific, but one way or another, I'm definitely a lot fitter than I was!!!
