I always get mine, not required but they keep it on the floor. It is easy for a coworker to give you the shot. I just got mine last week, I want it to last the season. emoticon

We are required to get it or will have to wear a mask if there is an outbreak. I got my shot already since they keep them on the unit (as opposed to having to go to employee health), but if they didn't require it, I probably wouldn't get it. I might intend on it, but would probably procrastinate and never get it done.

It is mandatory at my work as well... and if you happen to be one of the very few who can get by without getting one d/t a dr excuse, you are then required to wear a face mask at work throughout flu season. So, I don't think that I would want to "skip" it anyway...

it is mandatory at my work, too. I'm not a fan, however, I've noticed I seem to be tolerating it better these past two years then I have in the past.

THINK POSITIVE!! For example: I fell down the stairs today and thought, "Wow! I sure fell down those stairs fast!" -unknown

It's mandatory where I work, and even though I have very little confidence that the shot is at ALL effective I get one.

It is not mandatory where I work BUT if I don't get it and we have an outbreak - I can't work. So, I get the shot as I can't afford to be off work ......
If you have a reaction to the shot, you can take Tamiflu when an outbreak or symptoms occur ....... I, unfortunately can't take it

Is the flu vax mandatory at your job? If it isn't are you getting one? If it is, would you get one if you weren't forced to?

It's the law at one of my jobs, voluntary at the other. I wish there were more studies about how effective or not effective it is. One of my co-workers got neurological symptoms after the mandatory shot 2 years ago and his Dr told him not to get it again.
