I made it through October and a few days in September with no candy or chocolate, and none today, I am going to see how long I can last, I have quite a bit of candy left over, but had lots of goblins, so that is good, and lo and behold a young guy we know brought me a box of see's chocolate covered peanuts,, my DH can handle those, I really am not tempted yet.

still no chocolate or candy, I really have no problem with chocolate, not my favorite, but candy is another thing,
I will be having a hard time Halloween while I am handing out candy to the gremlins, but luckily I bagged it up so I would not be tempted, but, we will see

Saturday I had my wisdom tooth extracted and the dentist said not to eat anything solid for a couple days. So what did I do? I went out and bought soups and yogurt and the worst one of all....... Chocolate pudding.... I caved!!! I had three chocolate pudding cups over the weekend. But today is a brand new day and I pledge to be chocolate free today!!

Ok, so I've been doing really well not eating chocolate. But Tuesday I had a momentary lapse of reason and decided to buy a box of coconut cookies. I was half way through the box when I noticed what was going on. I ended up throwing the rest of the box away and feeling really guilty about the whole thing. The good new is Instead of throwing in the towel and ruining the rest of the day's healthy eating diet... I stayed on track and made good healthy food choices. By the end of the day even though I made a bad food choice, I knew it wasn't the end of the world. Keeping my mind on the positive aspect of the situation really helped me get through that day...... On the plus side, I'm still chocolate free!!!

Hey Newvine, my arm is a bit sore, but not much, I could have gone to aerobics, but had a eye doctor appointment, I get my cataracts removed, in the next 6 weeks which I am happy about
and I have had no candy or chocolate for 22 days, I am eating dates as my sweet go to, or dried fruitand nuts, but no candy

Good luck with your flu shot. I was told if your arm hurts after the shot it is because you needed to get it.

Yesterday I did really good. Instead of grabbing something chocolatey, I froze some purple grapes and munched on a handful of them. It was a sweet treat surprise and it took my chocolate craving off the market..... I escaped the crave.... another day down.. today is a whole new start.

Ok, so I'm totally down to be chocolate free until Halloween. I do have one confession before I make this commitment. Last Friday I had three, count it (1,2,3) mini snicker bars. I am doing good so far no candy or chocolate, although I have had dried fruit and nut medley a couple of times, and I know lots of sugar in that, but so much less than normal

you can do this. I stopped having sweet treats jan. 1 2014. the only sugar I consume is 1 or 2 grams in what ever I am eating. as far as chocolate goes I once in a while have 1 oz of dark chocolate. usually buy dark choc. almonds and have 5 instead of 10 they say you can have. not having sugary things 5 is sometimes too sweet. lol. good luck and I will be checking in to see how it is going.

snack: fruits, apples, oranges, blueberries, strawberries. deluxe nuts and dark choc covered almonds. 100 count popcorn. who needs the other things.
