Everything I've cooked in my microwave was to save time, not to slow cook anything. The most time consuming dish I fixed in the microwave was a large casserole of baked beans. Normally, it's a dish that baked in the oven for an hr. I didn't have that much time, so I fixed it in the microwave (for maybe 20-25 minutes)...... Not sure on the time I used. I had to stir and re-stir frequently, to make sure everything was heating up as it should. All ingredients were already cooked, so, it was basically all needing to be heated up anyway.

You can 'slow cook' in your microwave? Umm, I'm curious to know how that science works. I know you can bake a big potato in a microwave in 9 minutes, but after that, I'm lost.

Question of the Week? How about "What will be the next Question of the week?"
hahaha

Okay, since you asked...

If you have slow-cooked in your microwave, what did you do?

I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

Like ElFisher56, I am benefiting from walking with my walker. I enjoy it when I have company, but that isn't often. Sometimes my wife goes along in her power wheelchair, and we try to think of it as being out in our convertibles. hahaha

walking is always good, hope you get out often, I work 3 part-time jobs, on Thurs. I do two of them, I clean the Town Offices and I work at a local whse where we take in donations household goods and furniture, and then I sell the stuff for a low price to people who want it. It's a long day for me, but I adjust, and I have a Parade meeting tonight for our upcoming Memorial Parade. Have a great day

I'm a homebody and due to a disability, I don't get out much other than to have someone go with me and my walker when I go out to do my walking. That seems to be enough for me.

I think we have to make up a new question because the last one was in 2017. There's been no question posted since then. Soooo..... I admit I'm just lost.

LISA_B22, where do you live that June means the end of allergy season? I need to move there. Where I live we have allergies all year round. January is supposed to be our allergy free month, but I've never seen a month without allergies here. emoticon

The best thing about June is that my birthday is on the 27th. Early in June our temperatures start approaching 100 and that's the area they're hanging around now. By September we may get some relief from the heat...and that's why I enjoy the fall months much more than the month I was born in. Flowers and my birthday are the best things about June. The heat is the worst thing about this month, and next month, and definitely August...

There was much rejoicing!

This time of year is great for gardening. I finally have an area where I have room for a few plants.

got most of the lawn mowed before the rain set in, now I have to wait until tomorrow to finish it.
I planted some lettuce in a pot on the porch, put it on the step when it started to rain, had to move it back on the porch, it was water-logged, don't know if the seeds are in it or not will have to wait & see if anything grows

Now that I'm in FL, my sense of seasons has completely changed; still getting used to it. Since we've been in severe drought, I'm appreciating that June 1st is the start of the rainy season. Just like a light switch clicked on, it's rained a bit each day! My plants are liking this rain!

The vegetation always looks so great in June.

emoticon How about we have some fun with answering a question now & again?

emoticon I'm going to start this out by asking 'What is your favorite thing about the month of June? What do you look forward to the most, during this time/month of year?'

When I lived in a colder climate, June also meant that I could enjoy time spent out in the yard & garden. Each year, I'd add just a few more plants to my perennials.
