I have a two month gap of my weight around Dec-Jan, but it looks like I've maintained with about 2 lbs lower. I'd love to lose 3 more lbs to my super ideal weight. I'm moving the carb foods to lunch and dinner. I'm hoping to see good results with low carb breakfast.

Hello:
35 pounds since January 1, 2014 (224) Total 95 pounds gone since July 9, 2013. Switching to a low carb approach in February really made a big difference in moving the stubborn scale down.

I will lose 95 pounds in 2019 (goal of 160 lbs).
Restart Sept 1, 2018, 300 lbs, New Goal Weight 160 lbs
I want to reach 200 lbs by Sept 1, 2019

Original Starting weight 283 lbs, July 9, 2013
Goal Weight of 160 lbs Reached Nov. 26, 2014!

I've lost a total of 14 lbs but only the last 5 or so were actually from eating low carb. I haven't lost any for a month or 2 and then I only lost like 2 lbs. Lucky I have my blood sugar meter to keep me accountable because the scales aren't changing. That said I'm at my goal weight so I'm okay with just maintaining, though I could do with a little more wiggle room (like being a few lbs below my goal weight so when I get bloated I don't go over it). I'm down a clothes size since last summer. I'm very afraid that if I accidentally eat too many carbs those last 5 lbs will come on fast an furious! Lost our health insurance temporarily due to change in job situation but when we get it back I would like to get my A1C tested and I bet that's changed a lot since going low carb. The best results aren't read on the scale.

Um, Russell, doesn't that mean you lost about 5% of your January body weight in 5 months? At your highest weight that would have been an 18+ pound loss. Looks pretty good to me.

emoticon Carol!!! and Russell!

Hi! Birgit, yup Woubbie is right! I did start out like Fly Lady, I did start with 15 mn and then progressed to 1/2 hour a day.
But then in May I went crazy and decided to do 2 hours a night, every night, when kids were in bed. I got so much done it 2 hours it was addictive. I'd have 2 big boxes- donate and garbage. I was ruthless this time. No more mamby pamby tossing! ;o) I'm too old for that! :o)
Now I need to transfer that motivation to my diet! :o)

Eliz,
I like the decluttering weight loss idea and badly need it. I don't know how you found the time. I'm hoping to get to that this summer.

26.6 pounds since January. I hit my goal weight of 100 lbs lost on April 14th and have been maintaining since then! Biggest plus it that I'm down from a size "XL stretch pants" to a size 4/5 in jeans, and from 2XL to a women's Medium in tops!

I lost 20 pounds in the first 6 months. Then lost my oomph! I'm maintaining my loss, altho a recent prescription of antibiotics added 5 lbs I'm now re- losing.
I have been more motivated to do other life style changes. We just finished de-cluttering the house we've lived in 37 years- now that's over a 1,000 pound loss! And believe me I feel physically lighter as well! emoticon

I've probably only lost about 3 lbs., from about 132 to about 129 lbs. The main change was a change from dress size 5-6 down to 3-4, and, even better, a loss of body fat from about 21% down to about 18% (to be updated this coming Tuesday) and a gain of muscle of about 2.5 lb.
But the biggest improvement right now is my daily average blood sugar levels. I started out at about 105 average a number of weeks ago and am now moving to the low 90's. This should get me out of the pre-diabetic range here very soon. emoticon

I've lost 29 lbs so far this year using various forms of dieting... a little by just watching what I ate... more using the Fast Metabolism Diet, and now I'm using Atkins. Overall I have lost 55 lbs from my highest weight 18 months ago.

LOL! Last time I weighed in was January, I think. I'm due for another weigh in July, I guess. I'm actively shunning the scale and focusing on clothing and visual progress. In that sense I've lost at least one size in tops since last summer, and about a half size in pants. (Different sizes from top to bottom obviously - it's HELL to buy a dress that fits!)

The visual progress is actually kind of funny. You know you've been really fat when going from a round Buddha belly to one with rolls is actually an improvement.

Wow! Everyone here seems to have their ducks in order with this low carb lifestyle. I am so there with you all! The food ideas that were discussed sound soooo yummy! I get excited about all the weight that will be lost while doing low carbs! How much weight have you lost this year? I have lost 19 pounds while doing lower carbs but then stopped but I am back on it!
