Carol may have overacted a little bit but I can see why she did it. Like Rick said, she will do anything to protect the group. I really only started to like Carol last season. She was so whiney before and I didn't think she brought much to the group other than another mouth to feed. She is really stepping up as a leader and a take charge type of person. Hopefully she doesn't lose her mind in the process of all this, we don't want another repeat of Rick lol!

I think the difference between Rick's heinous acts and Carol's is that we are being given the impression that Carol killed the people while the were still alive...before they died from the infection. Which could be a cold blooded premeditated killing (I say could be because we don't know the circumstances, maybe they begged her to kill them; not likely but a possibility).

I don't remember that Rick ever actually killed someone like that...refused to stop the car for the one guy so he got eaten by zombies, yes, but that's not quite the same as a deliberate murder. He killed the guys in the bar in Season 2 but they drew down on him first; Shane was self defense.

I think this is the difference that the rest of the group will feel...the sick people were helpless but they were still people....not zombies. And you just don't put down the helpless on your own say so.

I'm not judging Carol, I understand why. I also understand why the rest of the group will judge her and why Daryl would have an issue with it (plus you have the whole sexist subtext hypocrisy going on because the writers struggle with the female characters). I'm a Libra, what can I say...always looking at both sides of the story

I didn't see where they mentioned the Rat Giver in this episode. I did think it was interesting that they could have devoted time to making those bicycle wheel noise maker things but haven't worked on reinforcing the fence or building any other defenses inside the walls. If that chain link goes down they've got nothing as backup.

I just loved little Marshall Carl, stalking the halls with his hand hovering over his gun, ready for the quick draw. "I can't let you do that" Really?!? From a what, 12 year old? At least Herschel gave that somewhat of the response it deserved. I'm still in favor of taking a switch to the brat.

The moss covered zombie is my favorite so far!

I think that Carol killing the infected people was a 'normal' reaction.
I think there have been many times throughout history that many sick people met the same fate.
I think that she decided to go along with the isolation because it (obviously) didn't stop the infection from spreading. I think that because it did not stop the infection...she is no longer justified in what she did and we might be see her character encounter more emotional problems....maybe it will pull her and Daryl closer together. (I hope I hope I hope!)
I think Rick will end up keeping Carol's secret.

Did I miss something and they said who was feeding the rats to the walkers on the fence line? I noticed that there were a LOT less of them along the fences.

Hershel...I do like him, but I think his character is just about the same as Dale's, only we have a little more of his background story, I hope they stop it with the know it all'ness of his character....I know he is a doctor (vet) and he is smart, but he seems to know everything about everything.

I think it was the size of the bloody hand print. It was a good deal smaller than his own, and he knew it wasn't Daryl or Tyreese. Pretty much left Carol.

Here is a problem. Rick has had to do some pretty heinous things to keep the group together - intact. If Carol is becoming this take charge person, she is now also committing heinous things for the sake of the group. (I was honestly shocked she sent the sick little girl into quarantine - half expected her to hide her away somewhere else). So to play devil's advocate: it is OK for Rick to do these heinous things, but not Carol. Daryl fully supports whatever Rick decides - but would turn his back on Carol?

Is this because Rick is the perceived leader when Carol is not? Carol may have been acting when she felt his inaction would endanger the group. As we well know - there are times that Rick is paralyzed by his moral code, or fits of insanity. Plenty of others have had to organize and act when he has not been capable of it. He hasn't been at the counsel meetings at all. Hershel pointed out that he needed to participate in the 1st episode, and he declined. Maybe she took this as he really doesn't want to be the leader anymore. He has indicated that many of times. Maybe she felt like someone else needed to step up and lead?

I don't agree with what she did, nor do I feel it was necessary at that point in time, just wondering what makes Carol's actions so much different than the things Rick has done (plan to turn Michonne to the Gov., etc.)

I can see something starting between Michonne and Daryl, especially after he finds out Carol burned the bodies. I don't remember his exact comment but he was pretty clear he was disgusted by it.

I just "love" how Carl was walking the halls all bad @$$ like he was Marshall Dillon or something, hand poised over his gun for a quick draw. He's what, 10 or 11 and is going to tell an adult "I can't let you do that"?? At least Herschel called him out on it, although I do think he talked a little too much to Carl (I still favor taking a switch to that kid).

I must have missed whatever Rick found that pointed him at Carol. I know he was investigating the yard and the blood smears on the door, but what tipped him off?

My question is... Will Tyreese blame the rest of the group for "leaving him behind" when he was clearly questioning if he wanted to live or not, and didn't get out of the car when he should have?

ARRRRGH Carol!! WHY?!?!

Hershel is now Jiminy Cricket to Carl.... If he lives through this flu. Did you see how distraught Rick was at the thought of losing his trusted adviser to the flu?? He almost seemed more upset than Maggie. And Beth... I thought you didn't cry any more?!? Don't be wishy washy. No trait is less endearing in a woman.

I wonder if the gov and his two minions that he didn't kill when he went crazy are suffering from any of this bleeding from the eyes flu...

My other half thinks he sees some romance budding between Michonne and Daryl. I'm not buying it, though.

If I weren't in the process of getting all fat and pregnant, and having to take it a little easier on my body... I would so be trying to get my hands on Michonne's fitness program. I want to be all bad ass like her.

I thought this episode was pretty good, although I was expecting a little more with the scene at the end with the huge group of zombies. I had a feeling that Carol was the one who killed them. And I wish Beth would just get killed off, I really don't care for her character at all. I was pretty upset that Glenn caught the flu and I was also upset when I thought Tyreese was going to get killed off!

Hmm... not as good as last week, I thought. But ok. Alot going on.
We have a confession to a crime, but the guilty party thinks it was justified. We have both Tyreese and Rick going a little nuts, and Rick beating the living crap out of him. We have Carl babysitting Hershel. We have weird Beth raising baby Asskicker. And we have a couple of very cool zombies. Bear trap girl, and moss zombie.
What did you think?
