When arthritis has you in its grip and .....

Hi Judy I know what your talking. I'm hurting bad today and I want to eat but I have to take off what I put on this last week. I hurt from my hips to my toes and both hands. You did the right thing and call for help we all need each other. Hang in there and maybe tomorrow will be better. Have you tried drinking more water?

I don't know if I am having a case of feeling guilty or feeling sorry for myself, but with the rainy weather came probably one of the worst bouts of arthritis I have had in a long time. Both knees and both feet ached to the point of reducing me to tears. I simply couldn't exercise, it was just too painful to even get out of bed. And I haven't been on the team web site in a very long time, because to be perfectly honest I was really starting to feel good, albeit with the help of Tylenol, but darn it I was feeling good and about that I did kind of feel guilty. Now I'm sitting here wanting chocolate again, feeling lonely, and not feeling like I'm coping well with the pain in my leg joints, but especially feeling very disappointed with myself. I just don't even feel like doing what I tell others to do, forgive yourself and move on. Just felt the need to share.

Barbra I'm so sorry to hear of all the bad things happening to your family. Prayers are your way.
Your right when you have lots of people to cook for it's hard to keep track of your intake. I gave up last week, starting over today and I was able to go to the pool this afternoon. Boy did that feel good.

Not a good weekend. Friday night they had to rush my daughters DH to Portland. He had an aneurysm in his head. They are still there. The doctors say he will be there for 2 or 3 weeks. He is doing good. I sure hope he will be OK. I had to go get the dogs. Her son comes here to eat. What a difference a day makes.

We also found out my other grandson's grandfather is dying of cancer. Then my daughter friend's husband was killed in an auto accident. Only 27 years old. They just had a new baby.

This has been quite a weekend.

Have to go pickup my grandson. Guess everyone is getting hungry, getting close to noon. We have a nice roast chicken in the oven. It smells really good.

When you have a lot of company no way can you keep track of what you eat. Hugs Barbara

We had a wopping of a storm last night..kept most of the windows opened just to hear it..today no rain..but it's got to be waterlogged! I have been very grumpy as of late and I was reading a book last night and it said "thoughts are energy"...I have got to change my thoughts..sometimes I remind myself of the Winnie the Pooh character Eeyore..lol..one of my sons friends is like that sometimes too..and he is the one I like the most!!..lol..So I will be working on positive thoughts today!

Good morning everyone,, I hope all is fine and socialized medical not good,,, there are people we know in New Jersey who move to Canada thougth the would retired there and it would be better for them, after one year and half years they moved back to New Jersey, the medical was too long to care for its people months and months to wait for an xray or a doctors appt.... if its not life and death you wait till they can fit you in , they dont care if you are in pain ..... thats not what I want ... When I am not feeling good I want to visit the doctor .. oh well

I agree with socialized medical care..my cousin who lives in Canada or I should say lived..he has passed waited months and months for back surgery..he had to remain on the floor and everyone had to help him..he has died of cancer and I thought I heard a relative say he was waiting for treatment (don't quote me)but if that were so it is really sad..

In Massachusetts we all have medical insurance..we even are penalized on our taxes if we do not get insurance (most people pay by what they make)

Cupbutter if you haven't figured by now..we are getting rain..lots of it..we have a flood warning now and are expecting 2-4 inches...doesn't a flood watch tell the whole story? I am truly sick of all the rain..I'm sure farmers in the summer love it..but I feel waterlogged

Up again in weight today..seems like a pattern I need to break...having carrots and celery for breakfast..Oh yeah!

Hi All company left this morning. I'll miss them but boy am I tired. Now we can go back to normal eating. I hope I can get this weight off quick.

Well good news all my tests came back normal. They are not going up with a flashlight. Medicare will not pay for it and where every thing seems normal I think it was the pill I took. I am fine now.

Going to see my Grandson do ad-lib tonight. It should be funny.

We painted a rack of shingles today. Coming Monday hope to finish my porch.

I got all my dresser draws cleaned out. Next week I will start on the closets. That will take a while I have nine closets in the house all full of stuff.

Having to wait 6 months for surgery is better than not being able to have the surgery at all.

Music, I am so sorry you have to wait so long for the surgery. Now to all the USA citizens just think, that is what we would have to put up with if we went to socialized medicine. It may seem we have to wait a long time but Music could not even get in to be seen for almost 6 months and now a 9 month wait of surgery. I will pray they can do it sooner. Sorry to get on my soapbox.

Barbara, I love what comes out of your mouth (well onto the page) You write like I think you talke and I find it so comforting and humorous and trust me we can all use the laughs.

i rang the pa hospital they said it would be aleast nine months before i get the surgery done.

hi dee how are you, and how is every one else hope i hope you are better soon.

Dee we have the same book as you do. Its lent now so we try not to sing up beat music. Do you ever sing Fly like a Bird? Or I know that my redeemer lives? We sing some beautiful hymns. Dee now you pay attention. LOL

The tin did not come in for our porch roof. The guy wanted to finish it today. Nothing happens the way you want it. We will just have to wait. We did get to the dump and clean up the yard. We had 600 lbs at the dump.

I am on another binge. All I want is sweet stuff. Good grief.

Hope, poor you. I will keep you in my prayers. You have been so sick. No fun.

I open my mouth and anything seems to come running out. No control button. Everyone tells me to think before I talk. I do think but things just come slipping out. I think when you get old who cares. I am a nice person though.

My blood test came back all normal. Guess that is the only thing about me that is normal. Now for the other tests. I started taking a new vitamin the doctor said to stop it and I think that is why I had the runs. I am fine now. The pill was resveratrol.

Hi Lori, Dee, Music, BarbaraMe, Vicki and all the rest of you. One thing about being sick you lose weight. This past week I've lost 6 lbs. Hurray! At least that's what the Dr. says. I lost before I went in for the 1st Drs. appointment. I lost afterwards when I went in to the hospital. I had an acute asthma attack and then it turned into Bronchitis. I'm slowly getting better. I won't be able to answer your mail but will try to read what I can. I'm still supposed to stay home til Mon. I won't be going to church Sun. because he said give me til Mon. I went to Antique Roadshow not the real one and waited for 3 hours to have some things appraised. They only went through 3 people for 3 hours and I gave up. I had my oxygen to worry about. Even on conserve it was giving out. God to go the minutes are running up. Hope

Barbara, I also love how you say things. "2 pages of dead guys" No glas in those pages. LOL Does Sister not even tell you when she will be gone. Well good for the money at least.

Music, I love seafood but have never had a seafood pizza. Sounds interesting.

Another beautiful day here in Maine. I can't get over this weather. It is only March and it feels like spring. My flowers are coming up. People are raking their lawns. We may get more snow and cold.

My front yard is such a mess. We are suppose to go to the dump today. They tore down the front porch roof everything is in piles out front. We should be able to clean it up today. He is putting a tin roofing on so the snow will slide off.

Two pages of dead guys in the paper today. I did a funeral yesterday. Have one today and one Saturday. I never see the Sister. Have no idea where she goes. I am glad she does go it gives me a little extra money.

Have to get ready to go I will check in later.

Howdy everyone!

Just checking in after getting home last night. My doctor's appointment went well; my doctor is making me come back in 3 months because I continue to lose weight. What she doesn't know is that I plan on losing at least 5 more pounds, so I guess I'll be going back some time in September as well as June.

The weather here is windy today. We have 20 to 30 MPH winds with gusts expected up to 50 or more this afternoon. I guess I'll stay inside and exercise.

We leave Friday for the half-marathon in Dallas on Sunday.

Cupbutter you are so funny! a loss is a loss though..I have those tenth things on my scale but I never use them..too confusing to me..lol never was good at Math! I took a good look at the house yesterday and thought the same thing you are doing..it is time for spring cleaning!

Vicki I am going to go to Walmart I will check out those drops too..if they aren't too much money I may buy them but I'd never go on a 500 calories a day...I have done just as you have stopped working the Spark Points..I have been walking and I am not even putting that in...I have got to find time to put the points in especially if I am doing the work..the nutrition tracker is what I am missing..

Pat that is wonderful..I bet those lbs will come off once again..are you watching salt intake? Bread is my downfall..has this happened to anyone..we are all adults here..yesterday I was a sloppy mess emotionally and did not know why..until I woke up and got my period..I am not a consistent cycler so I had no clue...now this weekend makes so much more sense..all I wanted to eat was low sugar oatmeal and diet wheat bread...like all day long..not good..I am taking black cohosh I just do not know what else to do..does anyone have a clue for me?

My neighbor got her eviction notice and made sure she told me I was throwing her kids out on the street..oh and she's pregnant she told me..funny I saw her last week all made up to go to the clubs at 10:30 pm..what is wrong with that picture..

I hope everyone is having a great day..I see it is bright and shiny out there..I'm going to head for a walk..went for a walk yesterday with both of my boys..oh my oldest has such long legs keeping up with him I thought I was going to blow a lung!

I did have a hard day and was so happy they went with me and then mother nature came along too make sure I knew it was the right thing to go for a walk....we were near a cow farm..and I wasn't paying attention..my oldest was waving at me ..way ahead of me..lol..I was working on breathing..lol..but when he stopped he said look at those cows they are fighting each other! I said cows don't fight! he told me one was kicking the other..so we stayed and watched ( I got to catch my breath) there was this one big rusty colored cow with a white face watching us..if we loved 10 feet his eyes were always on ours..lol he was the security guard...and then i discovered what the cows were doing..and it wasn't beating each other up!!! They were mating..lol..I laughed so loud for so long ..it was worth the walk..

Oh my didn't think I would get on here today. Did a funeral. Took all 4 dogs for a walk now they are fixing my porch roof.

My new picture is a picture my brother-in-law carved out of wood. It is really nice. The lady looks like me and what better than to have Sylvester hugging you and Tweety Bird bringing you a rose. This man is so talented you should see what he does out of wood. Canes, Disney characters, whole Xmas villagers amazing.

Guess my spring cleaning will have to take a back seat today. To much other stuff to do.
