The best reward in the world (for me) is seeing the scales go down. Nothing compares to the feeling I get from that.

**LINDA**

Weight loss is accomplished with the mind.

A person who wants something WILL find a way....a person who doesn't will find an excuse.

Which do you prefer?
The pain of self discipline?....or...the pain of self regret?

I am like Mitchdy, I don't do anything special except to be excited about my changes. However, I am definitely looking forward to a big round of thrift store shopping when I shrink out of everything.

I have to say something so dorky, but I think the weight coming off is the reward. I of course end up buying new clothes eventually, because the others don't fit... but when I see the numbers going down, or my clothes are baggy, the happiness I feel is the reward

I learn something new, say a hobby, or I take some time to do one of my hobbies.

Maybe a spa day, sometimes I do that ....Don't go out get up and put mud on your face, moisture pack in your hair wrap in grocery bag.. Moisture from head to toe, then some cucumbers on eyes or cold spoons and relax-- Just relax all muscles one at a time from toes to head while listening to calming music ..after awhile get into a bath and scrub from head to toes with sugar and olive oil and then , stand up and take a cool shower ...Take a nap, get up exercise and do nails ...Just pamper your self on that day..Sounds so good to me LOL I need one badly..do some yoga try out new makeup idea's ---put on a old movie you love..You get the picture..Just make it your day in your world , unplug the phone...

I used to buy some cheap and cheerful costume jewellery.

Here are my thoughts.....you can rent a movie, pick up a book at the library or book store, buy a small bouquet of flowers and set it in an area of your house that you often walk past or maybe just light a candle and get entranced by the gentle flicker for a few stolen moments each day or evening. emoticon

What are some of the ways that you all reward yourselves as the weight comes off? Obviously, I don't want to use food to celebrate anymore!

Like many other mothers that I know, I have not been good at treating myself kindly or taking care of myself. I need some (inexpensive) suggestions for how I can treat myself after losing some weight.

Thanks!

Kate

We were reborn"
