Bring tons of fruit that you can cut up. Put pre-cut veggies into baggies. Bring turkey hot dogs and 93% leans hamburger patties with low calorie buns. Plan on walking on swimming. Jogging in water burns about 500-600 calories an hour.on

There are two options regarding committment - your either IN or your OUT. There is no such thing as life in-between.

A person who wants something will find a way..
A person who doesn't will find an excuse...

Hi,
I understand completely. I get sick of not being able to eat things too...In fact I gave up for a little while and what happened? I gained 3 pounds. ARRGGG.
What if you allow yourself 1/2 of whatever it is you really WANT on your camping trips. Like have 1 smore instead of your usual 2 OR eat your dinner but just have the better parts of it...like the hamburger with no roll and try to dress it up with something with less calories - like mustard over ketsup etc. I know it SUX BUT think of the rewards in the end.
I'm getting back on the horse today after slacking for a couple of weeks...I feel terrible and I don't like it!

Why can't you eat what you like?
You can eat whatever you want, just keep it in you calorie range. If it's BAD food, try subsituting it with a healthier version. I think it's great that you have a family to do things with. Ask them what they would like to do. Get them involved and you'll be surprised. If you get organized, you'll be more successful...But that's your choice.

I also love camping and we always love to hike here in CO when we go.

I love camping! Maybe if you plan some hiking and swimming or some activities then you can eat things that you want too.

Best part of camping is the camp fire. I always grilled on a grate setup over the fire. Soak Corn on the cob with the husk still on just pull back and take the silk off, then soak in water for about 30 minutes and just put on the grate. Also fruit like peaches is really good grilled, as well as using kabobs of vegetables, meats and fruits. Camping is really a great time to walk around the camp grounds, and some even have events like dancing and movie night. You really can do a lot while camping but of course don't forget the smores. Have a Great time.

I went camping this past weekend... didn't watch anything didn't walk... I blew everything off. I also continued this until today....

MISTAKE. I knew it would be... Im just so sick of not being able to eat things I like... Im ready to give up...

I am going again the last two weekends of this month and I am trying to figure out ways to still have fun camping and not destroy what I have going...

thoughts... ideas?

thanks!
