When I go for 3 AM walks, my husband is always with me. He and I know the reality of my life with unpredictable seizures so he is very on board to go with me every time.

As for being an early riser, I guess you could say I am - or not. My husband works til 2 AM and together he and I stay up til 6 AM then I sleep til 11 AM. So, 5 hours sleep, if I went to bed when other adults do would qualify me as an early riser :)

Congratulations! Are you still up at 3 or are you an EARLY riser? Either way, even with the heat that seems like an odd time to exercise. Make sure your husband can go with you. You don't want to be out at that time by yourself!

As the heat and humidity rise in Tennessee and my own health issues increase I have found it most beneficial to exercise at night. My husband and I take our dogs out for a walk at 3 AM every morning and this morning I tried something new ( for me). I tested my legs in a jog for a few minutes. This is significant for me because I have had a fear of jogging and running for the last 30 years. Also significant because my current health diagnosis suggests I not overexert myself ( I was mindful) . So, today I celebrate my progress. I now am confident I can make my legs move easily. I can enjoy a short jog and I will do more as I become stronger.
