Weather is also a challenge for me. I want to spend more time outside walking but this snow is a pain!

Time is always an issue for me too. Now that I am going to starting back to school, I will have a lot less time on my hands. The important thing is that I need to make sure I balance and manage my time the best I could.

Time is always my enemy when it comes to eating right. I usually have to grab something on the go. I try to have things that are healthy around, but as we all know that is not always a possibility.
We do what we can with what we have.

One of my biggest challenges is time restriction. Some days I am running around so crazy that I do not have time to work out or even eat a meal. If I am unable to exercise in the morning, I won't do it at all because I am way too tired to do it in the evening. I need to figure out how do have the time to fit my exercise and eating all in between running around.

Marcelaschi, I have felt as you do for a long time, that the food I love is the food I need to avoid. I am now on a mission to find ways to make the food I love in a way that makes it better for you so that I don't feel so guilty for eating it.
I have a lot of food restrictions because of a very serious allergy to glutens but I love breads and pastas. So I have found ways to have them (in moderation) using gluten free foods. However the gluten free versions of these foods tend to have more calories. So now I am trying to eat the majority of my calories from fruits, vegetables and legumes, limiting my meat and bread.

How do you handle the cravings for the foods you love most?

My biggest issue is I just Love Food, and the food I love the most, of course, is the food that is the worst for you!

I have trouble at times with consistency because being self employed causes my schedule to be very sporadic and constantly changing. I have had success in the past and then I got lazy after my move but now I am back and determined to stick with it this time!

Btw hello fellow northwestern CTers!
Best wishes for your success!

Suzanne

What things in your life get in your way?

Is it yourself? your job? your family?

How do you deal with those things so that you can keep going?

I make too many excuses for why I can't. My family supports me but they don't understand my struggle. So I find it easier to say that my failure is their fault.
I have given myself a challenge to stop making excuses for not doing what I need to do to get to my goal. This is my new beginning.

tell us what you struggle with. We are here to help each other get to our goals and live a better healthier life!.

Cindy O.
