Daily Chat

I did a bit of shopping today. I wanted to pick up a few sale items and ingredients for tomorrow's dinner. We had rain this afternoon. It was in the 50s which was a bit chilly considering the past 10 days were warmer. I have my last load of laundry to do for the next few days. I will finish that and rest this evening.

Lee - yes, I should not have mentioned your name - definitely no snow for you. lol

Linda M - I saw on the news that MN and a few other states are sharing snow today. I hope that it is your last event until next winter.

Linda sounds like you had a busy day already . I think you meant Linda M and the snow/rain mix sunny nd war here.

Quiet day today. Got my errands done early. Dollar store and a couple of groceries. Now showing and am relaxing after doing a better cleaning.

Linda M. I sure hope your weather improves soon. When is DH's next appointment . I hope both of you are doing better than ok..

I got in a good workout at the gym this morning. Afterwards, I came home to do some house cleaning. Working on a load of laundry now. We had rain this morning but happily the sun came out later.

Lee - I hate to hear that you may get a half of snow tomorrow. I know that you have had some warm Spring days. It's tough to get back to the colder weather.

Lee - glad that you got your walk in. Hope you enjoyed Macy's. I enjoy going to department stores a lot. I always have, even if I don't buy anything.

Not feeling the greatest today. Tomorrow we may get a half a foot of wet, heavy snow so it'll be a good day to stay in and take it easy.

Lee- Sounds like you have had a busy day.

Hope both you and Linda have a nice weekend.

Linda M you are probably tired from doing too much the day before. Hope you get a good rest tonight.

Linda glad you could find what you needed and wanted at the store.

Yes it is funny that we somehow get a 6th sense to get to cleaning quickly. I did luck out yesterday but then I've learned to save myself by doing the straightening up first. Did the 3 washes and a bed change this a.m. even after a restless night and didn't get a call . I was actually glad as I went to Macy's sale (nothing for me) but got the walking in. Then a nap.

I am really tired tonight. Spent the afternoon visiting friends. Sounds like we are in for cooler weather that will bring a rain/snow mix.

Linda - Enjoy your new purchases. Hope your weather is better tomorrow.

Lee- Seems the showings are getting more frequent. Hopefully the realtors won't forget again to give you a heads up before they show up in your driveway waiting to get in.

Today I worked out in my exercise class. I saw an ad for a department store and went to the sale. I found a blouse, new panties and some jewelry. I would say that I am finished shopping for awhile.We had a little rain today and more will come later tonight.

Lee - isn't it something how we have a feeling that we should hurry on occasion. I am happy that you were pretty much prepared for the realtor and showing of your house. I can understand how tired you must be of all of this.

Linda M - hope that you are having a good day.

LindaM Deep cleaning when finished is such a good feeling, isn't it.

This a.m. I did my usual. Shower and hair I was running late but got something told me to
push ti and get the house ready At 10;15 my realtor called and asked "do you have a sign
on your door "inconvenience welcome". Another realtor was in my driveway and had forgotten to call mine for an appointment?? I said ok but tell them to stay put until I come to get them>

Took me 10 minutes to open blinds and turn on lights and put a couple things out of sight.
put on shoes and skipped makeup. They were all quite nice but I told my realtor this was getting old .Didn't get a read on it. Time will tell. Life goes on. I did errands after they left.

Hubby and I walked over 4 miles today. He normally doesn't want to walk that long but seemed to enjoy it today except when we had to climb hills. lol It was a good day. I picked up a few groceries. We had a Bible study at church this evening.

Linda M - glad that you got some deep cleaning done. I need to do the same. Your weather sounds like ours. Perfect weather, in my opinion.

I got some deep cleaning accomplished today. Another nice weather day with sunshine and temps in the mid 70's.

Lee- Glad you got some "me" things done today. A good night's sleep sure helps energize.

We were out of town for a few days and got back this afternoon. Dog had a bath and now I'm doing laundry. Beautiful weather here today, temps reaching mid 60's and sunshine. This weather makes it warmer to work out in the garage so the plan for the week is to go through things stored out there and get rid of what we don't need or want anymore. What can go to the thrift store will. They have a truck and will do pickups.


Lee- Having the house show ready and having to leave whenever it shows gets to be a pain after awhile. Hope one of these days it'll sell and you can move on.

Linda - Hope you sleep well tonight. I hope to do that too. I didn't sleep well when we were gone.

I am pretty sleepy this evening. I went to the gym this morning, cleaned house and had hoped to doze off for a few minutes. It didn't happen as I received a phone call. Hopefully, I will sleep well tonight.

Lee - I know that you are very tired of showing the house. I pray that the correct buyer comes soon.

Linda sounds like a pleasant busy day! I love seafood and it sounds like you do as well.

It was the lady who asked if I'd take pity. Realtor didn't answer except to say if he knew
he wouldn't say. She ended up buying a newly built house from a developer.

I did show twice today. Getting old.

Happy Tuesday

I had a busy day as I went shopping with hubby. Most of it was for food. We shopped three different stores.The last was for a large bag of bird seed. We also took a walk and went out for a seafood lunch. The temps are wonderful. In the 70s with beautiful blue sky. Very nice to get out and move around.

Lee - sorry that the real estate person mentioned that you might give the lady a break. But glad that your realtor said nothing.

Linda M - I hope that you had a good day.

Linda glad yo had a nice Easter as well. You must have needed the extra sleep.

I got a call from realtor this a.m. and the gal who took up so much of my time Sat. decided to buy new. She had asked the realtor if I would have pity on her and come down on $ as she was a single mother of a 14 yo boy. I am glad he told her if he knew he couldn't say. Ah well
one of these days. Nice weather here in FL.

We had a good Easter service. Always more of a crowd on Easter. Saw my family but also got in a very long nap - I slept through my alarm this afternoon so I was down too long. It was such a gorgeous day that I should have been out more than I was. I received a call from my brother in Cali and was nice to talk.

I received word that I am invited to attend one of my DD's honor society ceremony. Happy to hear it. There will be a presentation of the Master's Degree students and then a dinner. The downside is that we will be driving for a few hours. We had such a rainy day today. We did eat dinner out. I had grilled salmon. Looking forward to Easter service tomorrow.

Lee - sorry that you had late word on your showing. I remember this gets old, showing the house especially when late notice.

Wrinkled arms come with weight loss. And I get chilled easily. Hope your Easter is

I showed the house at 4:30 Hate last minute. I just don't know but will by Monday I guess
I have no real plans except thoroughly enjoying the church service tomorrow. I like it that way.

I shopped at 4 stores today - for clothes. Wow, started yesterday and no luck. Today I finally found some items that I like at the 4th store and bought them. I think I must not like the new styles. Also, have quite scars from my shoulder surgery and everything is sleeveless this year rather than short sleeves. We ate a light dinner this evening.

Lee - I am also enjoying Good Friday. My birth was actually on Good Friday. lol I am also working on laundry.

Linda M - enjoy your evening.

I did my usual wash and changed the bed etc. Small nap; and now a T storm is heading in.

Thursday was active and busy. I went to the gym in the morning. I came home and changed and decided to go to Penney's for a sale. I tried on many clothes and did not buy any of them. Not thrilled with how I looked in any. Hubby and I later went for a walk and a ride. We drove for a long distance out to dinner. It was a long day but fun.

Lee - happy that you enjoyed your meal with your friend. Having leftovers is always a good thing.

Linda M - I am still keeping your hubby in my prayers. Wishing for him a good report.

Linda so glad your SIL did not have to have surgery. Sorry about the arthritis and do pray it has abated. Glad you managed to have a nice day in spite of the pain Hop you are better soon.

We did enjoy the service; I had a coupon bogo at Ruby Tuesday no parking and when we found one feared we'd wait on our feet a long time. So we headed t a little Italian place we like and had Eggplant Parm and salad. I think I have enough for two more meal. no bogo but worth the $$

Linda M I hope you and DH are able to relax and enjoy your Easter weekend despite the stress.

My arthritis is really acting up today. This time it is my left thumb and hand. Argh! I can't believe how this just started in the past few months and it is so painful. However, I did get a lot done before it was too bad. Walked with hubby at the park this morning. He went to get a haircut while I bought some shampoo and other items at a local store. Afterwards, we bought some groceries, I did laundry and made a nice dinner. At least things were accomplished today. SIL is not going to need surgery after all. I am so happy about that. When he was in the hospital they overdosed him on ketamine, had to intubate him for 5 minutes. Thank heavens he was okay after that.

Lee - enjoy your Thursday services. Also have fun with your friend at dinner.

Easter is my favorite holiday and I am looking forward to the weekend.

I went to the exercise class at my gym today. Trying to eat a bit less and make it a habit. Son in law just went to the hospital for a dislocated knee. He had been playing ball as a catcher on his team. ugh.

Good news today. Eye appointment showed the retinal bleeds in both eyes are finally gone and they didn't get to the macaula. AMD is stable and I don't have to got back for 6 months.

Most of my day was spent cleaning the house while being serenaded by Willie Nelson singing his greatest hits. LOL ( on a CD of course). I also had an appointment later in the day to get a haircut. Tomorrow dh has an appointment to go over reports from the heart monitor.

I went to my exercise class this morning. However, when I awoke I was really sleepy. I had to take a short nap this afternoon. Don't know why I was sleepy but feel better now. I plan to relax this evening since dinner is over.

I didn't sleep well last night but did get out early to run much needed errands.
Talk w/step son and nephew when got home. Cleaned up in case then emailed youngest son
not to call until later as I really needed a nap. Did get one. Older son wont' call for my Birthday
until after dinner as Monday is a busy work day for him. Nice day tho. Tomorrow Eye Dr. early. 82, Yikes.

We had lots of rain today. North of us were severe storms. We had thunder, wind and lightning but no tornadoes. We did have a nice lunch, after church, with family.

So glad the snow diminished Linda M. and hope your Sunday is and was a good one.

Our church service was wonderful today. We have been lucky. When a minister leaves a Presbyterian church he is serving the "Presbytery" appoints a minister to guide us in picking a new permanent. A long and arduous task. this man preaches only on Communion Sunday and days like EAster and Palm Sunday. He leaves us wanting more. Very good! I hear the message in a very personal way. And they also approve an interim minister. He is equally good with a different but great speaking style. What a great experience. I guess you can get
we are really enjoying the services, hard to do when you loved a minister for 18 previous years.

This morning hubby and I decided to go shopping at a couple of stores. It was nice to window shop. We ran into an old church friend, she changed to another church. We talked with her for almost an hour. Fun to chat and catch up. Having family over for lunch after church tomorrow. We expect some rain later in the day. Could have some strong winds.

Lee - happy that you could enjoy a low key day.

Linda M - so happy that your snow was minimal compared to others in the snow storm.

Restless night last night so I dropped all plans and just made sure house was ready (no calls and hope just because of getting ready for Easter) I was lazy today and enjoyed it.

Snowed just a little while this morning and then cleared up for the rest of the day. I took the dog to the groomer and picked up a few groceries for the weekend.

I went to the gym today just to workout. No class. We also picked up some groceries. I did a bit of housecleaning. However, I was hit with a bad headache. After that I was pretty much finished for the day. We had bad storms this morning which probably brought on a sinus headache.

We were out of town and drove back home yesterday in this winter mess. When we first started back, the weather was okay and the forecast said the snow and rain wouldn't hit til Wednesday night into Thursday. WRONG! We started back early and by 10 in the morning and 50 miles away from home the snow/rain fell fast and the wind blew hard. Still not not nice out there today either. The snow is real wet and heavy.

The funeral today was sad. However, it was very short. I like that many do the funeral visitation and funeral in one day. It was a beautiful day and sunny. I am pretty sleepy though. I really have not slept well for the past two nights. I dozed off this afternoon and my DD called so I didn't sleep much. lol

Lee - I understand what you mean about being happy that you had a slow day.

Linda M - I agree with Lee. I know the predictions are for a lot of snow. I do hope that the predictions are wrong and you get much less. I do remember Ohio getting some snow in April. But it doesn't happen too often.

Linda glad to hear your valve problem is minor. Which valve. It does usually take years
for minor to change drastically so take heart and good luck!

I think I'll stop mentioning my house and maybe things will change. I forgot to do my
wash (usually do Tues eve) while TV on to get out of way.. Did it this a.m. and didn't even
take the car out. Slow pace. Yay

Lida M. I do hope you are not in the middle of another snow storm. Think you may be from reports,tho. Good luck. Any news on DH's tests?

Today I received the results of my echo from last week. Not too bad although there may be a problem with a valve, minor at this time. I will see if the cardiologist needs to put me on other meds or whatever. I hope not. But we will see. I went to my exercise class today.

Lee - glad that you got to eat on time. I know showing our house is the pits.

Linda - if you do get snow, I hope that you get a small amount. I know that some areas are predicting a large accumulation.

Glad you don't have to travel too far tomorrow Linda. Again, condolences! Go safely. Otherwise,sounds like a good day yesterday;

Broker called and was going to show house late today for another realtor. Just called they client cancelled. Oh well. i get to eat on time this eve.

My younger brother used to watch the Knicks every weekend when we lived in NY state.

We found out the funeral arrangements are on Wednesday. We will have to travel out of state but only about 80 miles each way. Today hubby and I went to the park again and had a good walk. Also did some errands while we were out. One of my DDs and her hubby dropped by for awhile this evening.

Linda M - I do hope that all is well with your hubby. Hope his tests turn out well.

Lee - I hope that the buyer comes your way soon.

Went to the dentist today and stopped by the grocery store and picked up a few things. We actually had 70 degree weather today. There is still big snow in the forecast for this week. I'm looking forward to watching the basketball tonight.

Linda - So sorry about your husband's brother's passing.

Happy Monday

I went to church this morning. We moved up our dinner to a late lunch with family at our house. We had received word that one of hubby's brothers passed away last night. Still awaiting all of the funeral plans but the phone has been busy today with his siblings calling. The brother was the oldest (80) and had suffered a stroke last year. He never was the same after that.

Lee - happy to hear that you had a good interim minister since yours is away.

Linda M - keeping my fingers crossed for you. Hope the weather improves for you soon.
