I understand about the busy days. I caught a nap today as I woke up too early and couldn't get back. Feel like a million now . When I was younger I scoffed at them ! No more!

I had a busy day. I went to the gym and also took a walk. I went to the bank, the grocery store and Lowes's.

That's what naps are for Linda. (rejuvenation)

I am feeling better but extremely tired today. Oh well, I took a nap.

Glad you are getting it under control. 2nd part of the day sounded better. Hope the meds do the job, Linda

My appointment went pretty well. I have two prescriptions for an infection. I took a walk today. I shopped at the department store for a new pair of exercise pants and a toaster. We also went out to dinner. So it was a busy day.

Hope your appointment went well LInda. The rest of the day sounds good. Thanks I am back on track. I know better but do get the binges once in awhile. I have days where I could eat the house. Glad they don't happen often.

Wednesday is my appointment with the ENT. Happy to get it over with, of course. Afterwards, I plan to shop for a few things, such as a toaster. Also, going out to dinner with hubby.

Lee - sorry about the weight gain. But I am sure that you will drop it soon.

I got into another sugar kick yesterday and of course I gained. Sooo. out of sight out of mine. I had a tear in my eye wnen. I trashed the little I have left.

UGH is right Linda. Do hope you see the ENT soon.
I too am sleepy but not enough sleep. lol. Plan to veg after church and I look forward to it.

Will eat light hopefully as I gained a bit this week. Not good but I enjoyed and don't look back but

Sleepy today for some reason. I got enough sleep. However, I think I may be coming down with a nasal (or sinus) infection due to a growth in my nose. ugh! May have to see an ENT if it doesn't go away soon.

Sorry about that. I was wondering what to have for dinner tonight. Realized I need to check the date on a can of salmon I have in the pantry. If good date (I hope) I'll make a small salmon loaf
or may do croquettes which I prefer. Stay tuned to see if I opt for healthier.

I went to the gym and also went swimming. Your sweet tooth came my way...I bought a Snickers bar and ate it today.

HI there. My sweet craving has passed for the time being and now it is vegetables. I am glad the urges have turned to something that won't add belly fat.

There are days that I absolutely HAVE to have sweets. When I really want it so much I usually cave in but not always. I can go for a few days without it...but definitely sweets are my weakness.

I do not have sweets often. Got a craving for ice cream. Had just a bit almost each evening last week and was surprised to see I lost weight in Monday's weigh in. Maybe I needed some extra sugar? You tell me?

Today we spent out time in Key West. We had a really great time.

Lee - it is cute that your granddaughter was born in the Keys. Having a good time here. Internet is iffy but spending time with family so that's okay.

I ate to much near the end of the hurricane..Back on track. (at least I bypassed chips in the store). The are my go to for cabin fever.

Just glad we are all safe, and pray for those who lost so so much, or even a little.

Lee, I hear the same thing. It looks like Florida is okay at this time. Actually looks like good weather in southeast Florida the rest of the week.

They said no complete turn around Linda. It will turn and perhaps drop more rain on NC and SC yikes. But then weaken and connect with Nicole which has weakened and go out to sea. Here's hoping.

Happy Irene and Lee that you are safe. Since I am on the western side of the state, we had no problem. My daughter is expected to fly into Miami later this week. I am certainly hoping that there are no weather problems. I also had heard about the possible turnaround.

Hi Lee - glad you ar back up and running - my area dodged it all, we didn't lose electricity and there was minimal damage in the community.

Have heard that we may get a "turnaround"' during the week as a tropical storm - time will tell

We dodged the bullet on this one. No fun but better than expected. Got elect back yesterday a.m. and Comcast back this a.m. Glad you are safe !

We will probably only get some wind (maybe 40 mph sustained) and some rain. But if the hurricane is bad as expected, there could be tornadoes anywhere. That is always a risk. Take care.

I've had rain - light-normal - on and off for the past few hours - also some wind - again light - it's not raining now .

I have the TV on but not paying any attention to it I am in my office working on finishing up CE credits I need...

Just stay safe, it could surprise us -- maybe pass us by - that would be great.!! ..

Supposedly it will hit here around 2 a.m. I am getting tired of the weather pundits as they really don't know. So all I can say God's got this one. Thank,Linda.

Shuttered and ready to "hunker" down. Will be eating lots of fish to save it from disaster and smell if elect goes. Healthy at least.

Yes, I hope that you are spared Hurricane Matthew on the east coast, My youngest daughter has a business trip to Miami next week. Depending on what happens with Matthew, I guess we will see if she will be able to come...hope no flooding or damage.

Irene I am on the central east coast. Gals I too got buckets of rain today. Don't think it has anything to do with Matthew but hope the storm doesn't get pushed any further west Will know probably tomorrow what's headed our way.

Linda - I'll be happy to send some of the rain we've had for the past several days. LOL

So bad Saturday night that two communities - mine has 900 units - lost power for about an hour..

Its coming down now and has been for about an hour...

I went to the gym this morning and also walked. We finally got some rain here (on the gulf coast)....we needed it.

I am thinking Sunday is a good a day as any to treat my body like it is New Year's day.

Thanks Irene, for such good tips. They are building and Aldi's here to completed early 2017 I hear. Keep the good idea coming I can use help anytime.

Today was a sunny and warm day. The humidity high..I did get into the pool and also went to the gym.

Irene - I also enjoy hot tea, often, before bed. My favorite is chamomile or peppermint. Although, I will drink Sleepytime when I have it it the house as well.

What a great idea - I've been following a program from a nutritionist friend who is also a business partner. 30 Day Detox.

I too need a few snacks during the day/evening. mid afternoon I might have Almonds - I count them out have 12/13 and that's it I'm satisfied - or Blue Diamond Rice-Nut-Thins (there are a few flavors) I will count out 8 - sometimes I'll take 4 of each of the 2 flavors I have. At night I will have a cup of Herbal Tea - "Sleepy-Time Extra" or "Mint" along with a plain (no-salt) Quaker Rice cake topped with Organic Almond Butter .(I get the Almond Butter at Aldi's)

So glad you started this Daily Chat, Linda . Hi I am Lee from FL. While I have met goal, maintenance is not easy and I too do well all day then want something (preferably sweet) around 7 p.m. A friend told me about a new cookie by Chips Ahoy. a very thin
Cinnamon and Sugar cookie. Yummy. She said she eats just 2 and serving is 4. I ate two and wanted more. the serving of 4 had 19g of sugar!!! They were on sale buy one get one free.
I happily gave her the unopened box and pitched the other! Thanks Ei you reminded me to go back to the SF Jello. also grapes a nice to nibble on. Maybe we can help each other.

Good for you. I need to try MUCH MUCH harder not to eat after dinner.

I try to not eat anything after dinner. There are times that I will. I also enjoying fruit for a snack and always drink ice water. I know that ice water occasionally will take away my appetite. It isn't always easy. I also will try to take my mind off of food with the computer, a phone call, etc.

Great idea Linda.

I eat pretty well with my 3 meals a day. My snacking at night is my problem.
Any suggestions?
Right now few times a week I have popcorn. Other times I have a 60 calorie- sugar free Jello pudding. Or I may have a clementine.
Wish I could eat nothing after dinner, but struggle with this. )-:

What do all of you do for snacks?
