I knew Anna was supposed to be on but did not know Brett & Kara were leaving - I thought there were going to be 4 trainers. As for Anna, I don't know about her other than being a pro athlete - it's possible she learned a lot more than we think about training.

However, I also like the idea mentioned of people from previous seasons coming back to be the trainer - that would really be awesome! There are so many who were immensely popular - I think Justin would be amazing, just to name one, and he had already been a trainer/coach before so he definitely has the background. Besides, who has more credibility than someone who has been there, lost the weight, transformed their life, etc?? To me a pro athlete would not really be able to identify with someone who is 350 lbs and completely out of shape but someone like Justin or other former contestants would.

Oh, well, I guess it's about ratings, ratings, ratings - business as usual!

Hmmm, be on the look out for more ratings grabbing 'drama'. Also, 'eye candy' male or female...face it - sex sells.

Oh my. Change is hard to deal with. I agree with those who've said that they're not wild about celebrity trainers. I'm not either. I'd rather see "real" trainers with a solid background in kinesiology & exercise science - not eye candy.

But I'll definitely give them a chance....I just hope that BL retains its focus on the contestants, not how famous the trainers are.

Ihave to say that I didn't like Jillian when I first started watching BL a couple of years ago, but she grew on me. I would hate it if Bob ever left!

I agree. Its been 'said' MANY times that they should bring back a former BL competitor who is now a certified trainer. Talk about Super-Motivation!!

I liked Bret better than Kara.

that being said, I *hate* that they brought Anna K in. I don't want someone who has BEEN trained, I want the person actually TRAINING them! all of the information she has is what someone else has taught her - it isn't HER process - HER trial and error - HER experience. This is going to be hard for me to watch this year.

I would have actually preferred they bring one of the former contestants that has gone on to become certified as a personal trainer than have Anna K.

I also don't think that the contestants are going to be able to relate to her at all.

Maybe this means that there will just be group trainings - not so much this trainer vs. that trainer.

Still not happy.

I liked Bret too. What about bringing the trainer back that replaced Jillian before?

Yes Brett and Kara both are out.
The male trainer is a celebrity trainer. I like Brett and am said to see him go.

I am a big tennis fan. However, I can't see Anna as a trainer. Now if they realy want a tennis trainer I suggest Gil Reyes who was Agassi's trainer. The last season's trainers I didn't like either. I wish they would look for a good trainer and not some sport's star. I would like to see more on nutrition and diet and the balance between that and the amount of exercise.

Sorry but Anna Kournikova looks too cutsie for me. Not tough like Jillian. They really needed to find a JILLIAN to repalce Jillian. I AM however glad they got rid of the trainers from last season.

I was on the NBC.com/BiggestLoser Home Page & saw what looks like they added a Male Trainer to their Tranier Family than just Anna Kournikova.
