I don't know if I am an easy traveler but I love it all - parts of Europe, Mexico, Caribbean, Hawaii, cruises, mountains, ski trips - love all of it. It does not mean all of the trips always go smooth but I can see beyond small issues. And most of the trips somehow are memorable for one reason or another.

i think the answer is it is still to come. as a kid i got car sick a lot - both my parents smoked and it was hell in the back seat - especially in cold weather with the heater on and windows mostly closed.
when i got older there were no family vacations per se - just a drive on a sunday .
then i was married to a miserable traveller who complained about everything in the world and all i remember is wanting to get home.
the last straw was being co erced into going to europe which should have been a blast - but all we did was visit relatives (big whoop) , stand in lineups at the vatican which was very filthy outside and disappointing - my feet and hands swelled up like a balloon the whole time. it was a nightmare - and no one set up any sight seeing tours or made arrangements to see any thing - i spent hours waiting for buses and arriving too late to get into places.
sorry to be debbie downer - but as i said - i think it is still to come.

That really is a hard question. When I was very young my family traveled two weeks to Montana and back from NY stopping at many great places along the way. We saw old faithful and Mt. Rushmore to name a couple. It was quite fun except for the car sickness. I was hit badly by it the day we arrived at Mt Rushmore and on the way there finally fell not a deep sleep. When I woke up we were in the parking lot, but I was the only one in the car. They couldn't do that these days.

The best vacation I've ever had....that's tough! When I was born, my family began taking a trip every 4 years to Disney World in Orlando, FL, so I've been there 4 times (we stopped when I was 12--I was devastated). Those always hold great memories for the family--we still talk about them 14 years later! Also, I loved going to Cape Cod in 2004. My father is originally from Bristol, Connecticut, and his family went every summer to Cape Cod. This family vacation was a lot of fun, and much more intimate than a large amusement park/resort. Of course, our (now seldom) trips to Cedar Point are also fun. However, *Cedar Point* loses some of the magic when you live near it...

Wow. That's a tough one. There have been some really great vacations. I have to name two, because I can't decide between them. The first was in 2000, and my wife and I went to New England to celebrate our 15th anniversary. We traveled all over N.E., staying one night each in Mystic CT, Salem MA, Portland ME, Bar Harbor ME, Barre NH, Rutland VT, and Glens Falls, NY. The colors were beautiful, because it was mid-October. Plus, I got to see Fenway Park for the first time ever! We visited Walden Pond, saw the gravesights of Alcott, Thoreau, Hawthorne, and Emerson, and even had some Mystic Pizza!
The second one was (I think) in 2006, again, just the two of us, and we went to northern California. We stayed in an area called "Irish Beach," just south of Mendocino. We spent the whole week just wandering around the area, driving up and down that beautiful stretch of Hwy 1, visiting wine country, and stayed in a house with the most spectacular view of the ocean!
Both of these vacations were equally fabulous!
