I have OA and take Tylenol for average pain. In case of worse pain and/or inflammation, I take Etodolac 300 MG. It's an older medicine, but it helps me more than Naproxen.

i have RA since i was very young it is hereditary and runs in my family - also the weather affects it - stress and so on - in later years i also have osteo - i think that is inevitable too.
about five years ago i had such a tremendously crippling attack that the doc gave me prednisone shots - two within a month until i could move. it is so ironic that moving is GOOD but it hurts so much you can't.
he then gave me plaquinol - which inhibits the RA progression - but the side effects are eye problems - since i have graves (thyroid) i would not take it. he also gave me a script for anti-inflammatory - diclofenac - and i take that as i feel i require it - sometimes with a tylenol for arthiritis.
i try to eat properly - i now include some red pepper or cayenne which helps with inflammation in the body and joints. i try to stay away from acidic (but i do like my coffee - but have cut back a lot) and eat for a balanced PH\ which helps.
stretching - moving as the body is intended - i try to incorporate a little everyday.
before that huge attack back then - i worked full time, went to the gym 6 days a week, took all the classes and was extremely functional.
RA just changes your life and stops you in your tracks - but you have to persevere and keep going.

I'm not sure if I have any...I have a couple of finger joints that hurt pretty bad if I put pressure on them. It has run in my family, so it may be arthritis. But at this point, nothing serious enough to warrant medication.

I have it in my back, but I do not take anything for it. I am still dealing with the herniated disc which is causing more pain then the arthritis.

If you experience arthritis, do you use medication to manage it?
