I get fruit in during at least one meal a day, if not two or three. I love fresh fruit! Veggies are a little harder for me, and I'm trying to work them more into lunch or dinner.

I get in 8 or 9 a day by: sauteeing spinach/mushrooms to add to scrambled eggs, or having two servings of fruit mixed with greek yogurt for breakfast, having either a big salad or leftover steamed veggies with whatever I am having for lunch, having raw veggies with hummus as a snack and then 2 servings of veggies with dinner. I just look at veggies as my staple food that takes half my plate and I am now splurging at the grocery store on veggies I like, rather than on junk food. it took me a while to work up to 8-9 servings - but now if I go away for the weekend I don't feel very well at the end because it is hard to get in that many freggies when you eat out!

I juice mine sometimes, and now I'm doing the sneaky version of veggies because I'm not a fan. I try to take my fruits with me when I'm going out so that way as soon as I feel like eating I grab a piece.

I usually don't eat five servings. If I have three servings in a day, I'm doing better than normal which is 0-1. I know I should eat more, but it's difficult.

i have a big salad every single day - either lunch or dinner. and i have a hot veggie accompanying my dinner usually -
fruit is a little trickier - but i try to get that in either at breakfast for in between breakfast and lunch.
the time of the year affects my intake of 'raw' vs 'cooked' - i love a baked apple in winter but lots of fresh cool berries in spring and summer
fall - fresh pumpkin pudding - i think pumpkin is a veggie - squash family
have a super week - BB

I struggle with this one. I usually have a fruit serving and some veggies with my lunch. And dinner (which is often Subway) either is a salad, or a sandwich, and I almost always get at least three veggies on my sandwich. So maybe I don't struggle as much as I thought. I haven't been tracking that lately, though. It's funny that this was your question this morning, because I was just looking at the goals on my account and thinking about the five fruits and veggies goal.

I get more veggies in than fruit, but as spring has sprung I see my fruit intake increasing. Many times we have left over veggies from dinner that I take as a side to my lunch. Working them in is what I am conscious about doing.

How do you work in your 5 fruits and veggies?

I eat as much raw veges as possible, but do have frozen veges with dinner. I love fruit so that's never a problem for me. I do drink V8 from time to time as well. Have a great day, Pat emoticon
