If you go to the Start page there's a spot where your teams are listed. There are little. Red flags to the left of each team. You get up to five spins (actually just clicking on the pennant) and it gives bonus points to your teams. I got 50 points for our team today. And it adds to your own spark points at the same time!

I got an iPhone about 6 months ago. When I was looking at some of the features I clicked on the white box with the pink heart on it. It said health. lo and behold ot was a step counter, distance recorder, and even counts how many flights of stairs one climbs!

For some unknown, unexpected reason it seems that my scale has suddenly taken a liking to me ... And is telling me that I've lost a couple of pounds in the last week. Hooray - don't know what I'm doing, but am definitely going to keep doing it!😏

Great suggestion ... And something I do myself, dancing usually to an exercise video like Richard Simmons'. I hardly ever do the exercise moves, but like the strong beat of the music ... And my grandkids dance right along with me.

Good for you, Tracy! Hey, when you can't get to the Y do what I do, dance around the house. I bet your little one will enjoy that too.

I'm still here - I just don't post as much... nor do I follow a healthy eating plan. My husband's job is picking back up, so I will be picking up my 16 month old from daycare more frequently and plan to go the Y to workout on days that I pick him up.

I'm still here and fighting the fine fight. I'm 9 pounds less than when I first started. Sure, I did gain it back, but the minute that happened I got right back on the horse and began riding again. Haven't lost anything since the summer, but I'm getting antsy to put on another push.
Lily, you are so appreciated. This is my favorite team and I do a bonus spin for us every day. I'll try to be better about posting on the wall.

I must be having trouble with my Spark Notifications because it seems that no one is posting on our 'team' site. That can't possibly be true, can it?!!

We all have things that we can share, for example, today I rode my bicycle down the country road to my 4-year old grandson's house. He was so surprised to see me on the bike, and said "grandma, I didn't know you could ride a bike!" Now I tell this story because SHAME ON ME. He and I should have been riding our bikes together all summer! That activity alone would have helped me drop a few pounds.

What's your story?

WOGrace ... I agree with Eileen ... Congratulations on the loss, but mostly congratulations for your courage to begin again! It takes courage to start down the 'losing' road again. You aren't alone on that road ... There are many of us right along with you.🏃

No quitting! Not allowed!! emoticon

I'm quiet by nature. You should see my FB page....I hardly ever say anything there. When I have something to say, I usually write it in my blog here. I want to be better about posting here, and I am trying to make an effort to do so.

That being said, after gaining back everything I had lost, and 19 pounds on top of it, I'm heading back in the correct direction! I've lost a total of 9 pounds since Labor Day weekend (I had a 2 pound gain this week, but it's normal stuff). I'll be looking to get those two pounds gone again plus another 2 this week. Which means I need to get my butt in gear!

We have been having a terrible storm roll through here this weekend, which on top of the nearly 2 weeks of gray, blech weather we already had I am feeling the blahs. I need to snap out of it!

Lynn

Please don't quit. I do appreciate what you've been doing. I'm just at a time in my life where I'm doing less with my computer but still check in and look at things - even when I don't respond.

The thing about streaks is they become their own motivation. I also believe in reward - so treating my self to a new Bluetooth headset. My other broke & my husband's fix is loose. My rewards (now only for 6 month anniversary - in beginning for shorter milestone) for the exercise streak have been exercise related.

Oh, Eileen ... I am so happy to read your post! Because there is so little team chatter, I had just about decided yesterday that it was time for me to throw in the towel as team leader and hope that someone else would pick up the team leader baton and lead us on to higher paths.

Now that you've posted the success you are having, I'm not so sure about my thoughts of giving up, even though I'm a slacker of a leader, my heart is still in the game.

Thank you sooo much ... You've brought a little ray of sunshine to me, and to the team!

You have an enviable exercise streak going. Perhaps it is more than a streak by now - like a way lifestyle that fits perfectly?? Good job, my Spark Friend!

Do it, NOW!

Sorry I've been so quiet but I'm still here. I've been following a diet based on blood type. I have lost weight.
What is even more important to me is that I now have a exercise streak of THREE YEARS.
Thank you for keeping us going.

It can't be October already! REALLY?? Around here where I live (Idaho) we are preparing for winter ... Harvesting the potatoes; bringing the cattle home from the forest range; cutting, splitting, stacking wood for the fireplace; harvesting the last of the garden fruits and vegetables. It's been a great summer and I'm not quite sure I'm mentally ready for winter.

Whether I'm ready or not... Winter will come, and soon. And that is what happens to my sometimes "half-hearted" commitment to myself about taking better care of myself. I often don't make the appropriate mental preparations and choices

Have lost only 5 pounds this entire summer, but the good news is still that I've lost and not gained. And, in part, I have SparkPeople friends to thank for that. I feel ready to re-commit and am anxious to see whether I really have what it takes to move into my next season of life by taking control with better preparation and choices ??

Do it, NOW!
