Went to the pool yesterday. Wore my bathing suit which I was tempted not to. I MUST lose a few pounds.

We must have had more sunshine in the past few weeks than I realized - because yesterday we gave our lawn its first mowing of the season! In a way, that is how a 'portion control' diet works for me - I think nothing is happening until it seems that "all of a sudden" I've lost a pound or two. And another analogy - watching portion control weight loss is like watching grass grow- almost impossible to see from day to day, or even week to week, but give it more time and the scale is usually down, and the grass is usually up! That's where I find myself today - at least on the right track or so it seems.

I'm nervous about saying it, but I do believe I'm getting back on track! I've been moving more, and moving like I used to...dancing around the house, kind of dancing when I go to the market (that's right, I dance at the A&P! emoticon ), more controlled eating. I'm just more mindful of everything and that's how I was when I started. It feels good, and seeing a little success at the scale doesn't hurt either!

I was doing GREAT today. Then my daughter made hot pretzels and I ate one. I was so down on myself. I sat down and "journaled" my food. Turns out it wasn't bad at all. I'm feeling so encourage now, I'm motivated to make sure I stay on track for the rest of the day.

I know. It looks nice, but a bit harder to maneuver around.
Once again I am starting my day with new resolve to do better. Keep slipping up. I guess at this point getting through one day could be my goal. I did start my day with 20 minutes of aerobics. I have to be careful cause of a recent back/hip injury. I think I'll have a protein drink for breakfast and take it from there.

Not sure re liking the new look. Send points most every day. Was unable to log on last Saturday. I was Len Foote Inn which is located in Amicalola State Park in Dawsonville, GA. Had to hike five miles to get there. I had bars and could have called on cell phone but no signal for internet connection. Lost a 150+ day log in streak. Oh well, view was great.
