It was a great Tuesday, and I really enjoyed doing the upper body workout, too. I walked for 50 minutes tonight, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I even got to have some whole grains - and thanks for that suggestion, as I often forget to focus on whole grains. Have a great week, everyone!

Glad to see everyone still sticking with this challenge! emoticon

I like Tues nights and doing upper body. I'm feeling stronger and stronger and from someone who a month ago was in PT for a pinched nerve C5-C6 and had an epidural shot.....I am quite proud of myself for doing ALL of the exercise with 5lbs and not missing a beat!

Now, lower body is a different story (and always my weak area)....cardio (30 min run in) and water intake is done and now off to bed emoticon

Great job everyone....I am glad we can all motivate each other....I know that is what keeps me going every day!

It's good to hear you are all doing so well - keep up the good work. I am off the track for a while, on saturday I did the 30 day shredd then bootcamp - to much for this body, pulled something in my back. Did nothing on Sunday or Monday, but did an hour on the treadmill today. Think I will stay away from any upper body stuff the rest of this week see how I feel on Sunday.

Keep up the good work everyone:0)

Amy-- Appropriate name for that one! Jack genrally doesn't like to get any where near the ball and I've always suspected it was that he feared the dog big enough to fetch it! NOw he has a new reason to stay away!

Nice job JaxMommy! The dogs get excited about the ball don't they. That exercise is called a skullcrusher but it's usually only your head that's in danger! I was on the floor the other day doing an abs video and had to push a dog out of the way every time I had to move to another position. Had 1 on either side of me. Guess they want to make sure they don't miss anything!

Tuesday is done, including the whole grain foods. Whole grains are already a part of my daily diet, so the bonus was easy for me. Love Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Breads. Tried the cinnamon raisin bread last week. Usually get the low sodium, but the health food store was out, so tried the raisin bread and liked it.

Happy Tuesday to all.

OMG!! I just conked my dog on the head while doing the tricep extensions! He came in and started giving me kisses which made my stability just a bit less and I brought the dumbbells down too quickly and hit him on the head! He went out and pouted awhile, but came back in for some more kisses and pets, so he's OK! My baby boy!!

I have to say, my glutes are killing me from yesterday's workouts! I did both videoes yesterday as well as a 2 mile fitness walk and 60 min. of belly dancing and boy do I feel it in my butt!! I can feel my flutes, min. and max., screaming at me today! It made balancing on the ball just a bit more difficult today!

So, today is done.... Did the video, a 45 min. fitness walk (3 miles) and chose whole grain bread for dinner tonight!

Day 17 complete. Schedule was thrown off today, had to take my son to the Dr., found out he has an ear and sinus infection :( Then grocery shopping. By then it was lunch time, so it was early afternoon before I got started on exercise. Snow shoed with the dog 2 miles, did a 1 mile Leslie dvd, did my own upper body free weight workout, and finally got to the bootcamp video. I didn't get much grains today, but what I ate was all whole grain.

Just completed Wednesday bootcamp video. I was surprised to see I was actually able to get up for a full plank on the ball. Did aerobics last night and burned 600 calories will go again tonight. Only got whole wheat bread in yesterday, was out of brown rice. I usually blog daily but didn't yesterday so good challenge today to help get me back into routine. Did my weekly weigh in, lost another 1.5 pound this week!

It is amazing how great even a little exercise can make you feel. However, I am still afraid that without the bootcamp pushing me, I might slip away from the exercise when this is over. I don't know why I would because I have started to look forward to the exercise each day but there are days when I get home and want to do something else. If it weren't for the challenge, I might shift activities. Anyone else worried about this?

I had to do day 16 and day 17 this morning. I went camping Sunday night and missed yesterdays video-lower body, but I did workout with over 17 miles of hiking and searching for a couple of geocaches. What a workout!

Despite the fact that I do pilates pretty regularly, the 10 minute hip/thigh workout today was definitely felt! I had to really push through those last couple sets on each leg. I will definitely go back to that one!

Tuesday is starting here in the Pacific, got the bootcamp video done. I feel it in my arms but am not exshuasted when I am done, should I be increasing the weight? Isn't muscle fatigue the goal? I'll look for whole grain options today, not tons of choices but I do enjoy my whole wheat bread and brown rice so will make sure to get those today.

Since I had a dental appoint this morning and didn't know how I'd feel afterward, got up early enough to get everything done, including the bonus. Good thing it was done in the morning because I really didn't feel like doing anything except rest.

It was well after 12:30PM when I could finally feel my lips and think about having lunch. No chewing on the right side until next month, when I get my permanent cap.

Playing catch up again, I have 3 days of videos to catch up on.

Saturday workout done, those plank poses really challenge me. I totally rested on Saturday.

Sunday video done, the single leg hops really did a number on my ankles today, won't be doing those again. I will check out the big batch cooking link too.

Monday video done, I didn't have to put my toe down as much during the single leg exercises, I am getting stronger each week! Bonus video done too, that is a tough one!

Today's workout and special challenge done. My legs are sore also from doing the yoga on the wii fit plus. I will do my cardio later on today. I intend to walk on my treadmill and do my medicine ball workout and maybe a little dancing. I love to workout. emoticon
