ANKLE BAND For CHARGE 3 FitBit...

Hey FitBit Sparkers...! ! !

I've gotten some great suggestions for an ankle band for my FitBit Charge 3.

I appreciate all of your suggestions but I am still looking for the perfect one.

If you have made your own band to put your FitBit in to wear on your ankle please post and explain how you did it... if you don't mind sharing. I appreciate all of your tips and comments... please keep posting them...!

RACHNACH I am so glad your 'Bit is Be'havin Be'tter.....! ! ! Stuff like drives me nuts... but I love to troubleshoot and figure it out... Sounds like you are on the way to some good tracking now...

I think I have solved the problem. I was putting the Fitbit on the ankle by the pulse. I tried it on the outside of my leg at the ankle & also changed the way I put the Fitbit in the pocket of the ankle band. It tracked & synced steps, active minutes & hours for 250 steps. I hope it keeps doing it & it was not a fluke.

Everything syncs fine when I wear it on my wrist or have it in my pocket. It is just problematic when worn on my ankle when just steps sync. My phone doesn't seem to be the problem.

I have the FitBit Charge 3... when I first got my Charge 3... I thought it would just work with my LG Android phone... and my Windows 7 computer... It took me a while to figure out that ...Nope the Charge 3 does not like my phone... so I don't use it with my phone... and it does not like my Windows 7 computer... so I don't use it with my computer... I do have a Windows 10 laptop I am "trying to learn to like" and it does work with that but it is not used as much as the Win 7 ...

I was disappointed that my phone did not mesh with the Charge 3 but it is what it is... You could be having similar issues with your tracker... I did write to FitBit and express my concern that the New Charge 3 did not work well with my LG phone... but much to my amazement they said my type LG phone "was not on the list"... I mainly use it for the step count... "so there's that." I will eventually get a new phone and will try to get one that the 'Bit will work with... I had no idea when I bought it and did not know it would be an issue... it says Android / Apple...and it did not say "just works with a few"...!

I am getting excited about getting a band to wear the 'Bit on my ankle... I have to research my choices some more and will let you know how it goes...

So, I decided to wear my B-Great ankle band when I went shopping. My steps tracked fine & synced with the app. However, the 3rd hour of 250 steps shows on my charge 3 but did not sync on the app. I've since done a 4th hr & the 3rd spot on the app is blank & 4 spots on the tracker show. This & fitness minutes are the problems I have encountered using the ankle band. I got the band at Amazon & it closes with snaps.

Hazel the black one is velcro so it shouldn't. You would really have to catch it on something!

Hazel, the black one that I posted comes in a large size that should be big enough. My ankles are 10 inches and it was too big so I sent it back and got the small.

I got one at Amazon. The tracker works well with it BUT the app doesn't like it & deletes the active minutes from it and doesn't always sync correctly. I usually put my charge 3 in my pocket as it does not track on your wrist if using a walker or pushing a grocery cart. If I don't have a suitable pocket, I put it in my bra. Try putting it in the top of your sock to see if it will work.

I am still looking for an ankle band for my FITBIT CHARGE 3... All suggestions will be investigated... There used to be a specialized outdoor shop in my area ... does anyone know of an actual store that may have ankle bands that might work.? I've called around but must be missing something...?

CINDYTW963 Thank you for posting... I do need a larger size than the metal style... I probably need one that goes about 11-12 inches.. The color choices are awesome though...

Another concern is, I don't want it to fall off, without knowing it came loose... has that ever happened using yours...?

-SPIRITSEEKER2- What an EXCELLENT IDEA...! I knew there had to be a way ... the bands I have seen may work but seem too bulky ...

I really like this idea... did you "secure" the tracker in a little pocket.? so it would not fall out... just trying to figure it all out...

If you put the tracker in the cuff of the sock and "rolled it" around.... did it still collect your steps ... not sure if the tracker has to be in contact with my skin... Thanks in advance for your help...

I have 2 options for that actually! There is a metal band that I use daily that is magnetic and opens up large enough for me to put on my ankle. I got it on Amazon. Also there is a specific ankle band I got that comes larger if that is a concern for you...

I have cut off the cuff of a tight sock - I fold the top over the flex then fold the bottom over the flex -- works for me - I hate things on my wrist all the time

I bought an ankle band for my Versa that did not work -- ordered from Amazon. I just checked, and they said that B-Great Ankle Band would work,. You might want to check that out (read reviews, etc.)

Never heard of it. The band on my charge 3 has small holes and it fits so well I forget I have it on.

I need an ANKLE BAND For My CHARGE 3... I have looked online but have not found one I think will work... Does anyone have any ideas for something that will hold the Charge 3 on my ankle, I would hate to lose it... Is there a Brick and Mortar Store that has them or a special camping item that will work.?
