I have a Ionic and after the last firmware upgrade it starting working erratically. After trying everything suggested by online help, I called tech support. I had to factory reset the device. While I didn't lose any data, I had to reinstall some software on the Ionic. It's working fine now.

To Factory Reset; go to 'Settings,' tap 'Device' and tap 'Factory Reset.' Hope this helps.

Hi,
I've been with the team for a while now. While I haven't been active with the team, I peak in every now and then.

There is a question I would like to ask. I have gone through most of the posts in this forum and I didn't see anything close to this question.

For anyone with an Iconic, or with any Fitbit tracker for that matter as it may affect all of us sooner or later, has anyone started having issues with their trackers NOT tracking their steps while wearing the tracker? Or not tracking sleep, heart rate, calories burned? Anything like that over the last few weeks or months?

I've had my Iconic for over a year now and never had any complaints with it up until recently. And I depend on it a lot to keep me motivated to move and such.

Now, all of a sudden, one day it will track maybe 60 steps for the entire day even though I'd been walking through the day. Or it won't track my sleep, which I really depend on. Or some days it will track the steps, like today, but it won't track the minutes exercised even with the Exercise Tab running to keep track of the time I'm exercising. The tracker will say that I didn't do anything. There's no way to go in to change it either.

I did recently read an article that Fitbit had been going bankrupt and Google bought them out. Whether this is what is affecting my Iconic or something else, I'm not sure.

Unfortunately, I'm one of those who are absolutely hooked on mine and couldn't THINK of sending it in to be looked at. I'm not sure that Fitbit would even look at it what with everything that's been going on, so I'm stuck. And my husband won't let me buy another due to the expense and the fact that I'm not working. I started a business, but won't expect a profit for a while. And I like the bells and whistles on the Iconic. Do I need them, probably not.

I'm just questioning if anyone else has had similar problems with their Fitbit device?
Thanks,
Julie
