I liked today's resistance workout, but my band doesn't have the foot/hand holders so it was very tricky to try to figure out how to do all the moves she was doing. I had to keep rewinding the video and reposition myself. I'm not sure if I did them all correctly. Well, on to some cardio.

I don't currently have resistance bands yet, so today I did the video without them and still felt like I was getting a workout! I would say I'm at a beginner to moderate fitness level, so somebody who is more advanced might not get as much out of it. But I didn't feel like I HAD to have the bands to get a workout.

I haven't done today's workout yet cuz I workout in the evening, but I have to admit I am nervous. I just bought resistence bands yesterday. I have never worked with them before. Yesterday's workout felt great, it was definitely more vigorous than I thought it would be... I liked it! I was kinda worried it would be to easy. Anyways, hope you all have a great day!

This resistance band workout (Day 2) is much easier for me than the kick-boxing one on Day 1. I like it... feel the burn!

I love using resistance bands! I used them as my "intro" into exercising several years ago, before I had any weights or even the stability ball. I try to incorporate them into my workouts once a week, but am amazed that Coach Nicole, and SparkPeople in general, can find new (to me) ways of using them! I've done this workout before, and will keep in as one of my "routine" exercises, even though I get plenty of lower body strength training with my hikes.

NERDYTINA, I would think that ankle weights would be a great substitute for the resistance bands in this day 2 workout.

Good luck this week everyone! I'm looking forward to the month of challenges. I know that joining a bootcamp here helps keep me motivated. Plus, I'm graduating grad school in a month and want to look good for the ceremony!

I'm really excited that there are new videos up but I refuse to buy any new fitness equipment right now (I've already got quite a collection), so I'm going about this bootcamp by using the older bootcamp videos since I don't have a resistance band. I have the equipment for those ones.

What are the rest of you resistant-band-deficient members doing?

Day 2 workout is done. This is the first time using a resistance band and it feels super awkward to me. I had trouble with it staying on my shoe with a couple of the exercises. I finished the workout but I'm also going to do my own lower body workout to make me feel confident that I've actually done what I want for today. I'm hoping over the next few days that I'll become more comfortable using the bands.

Msficoscore - the Add to Tracker button is at the bottom of the page after the written info about the video. Yesterday's Cardio Kickboxing video didn't have the Tracker Button at the bottom so I went to My Fitness Tracker and used the drop-down box when entering Other Cardio/Exercises (under Browse) and you'll find the video listed.

HELP!!! I read what everyone said about how to add the video to fitness tracker, but I don't see that button and I am logged in. Am I overlooking it? I only see these options: Print, Share, Save, and Get your spark points.............

I just set up my fitness tracker yesterday and did it as "custom" (I think). Should I have done it to allow Spark to set up a plan for me?

I was absolutely ABYSMAL at the Day 1 challenge. I am so glad that I completed in the privacy of my own home, that I could pause and rewind the video, and that my loving partner wasn't in the room to giggle at me!

I am an athletic person but sooo terrible with coordination. Doing the grapevine was a challenge, as was coordinating my arm and leg movements.

But, I laughed at myself, smiled the whole time, and completed the challenge! You can't get better without practice, so I am looking forward to similar video challenges this month, as right now, I wouldn't dare set foot in an aerobics class ;-)

JOYCEB136 at the bottom of the page where the video is there is a button that says add this to my tracker. Press that. Then go to your tracker to tick the exercise.

You can either choose it to replace the day's strength or to just add it.

The kickboxing video you have to use the drop down menu in the cardio section.

Hope that helps

It will get done. It will get done on time. It will be great.

Good morning everyone! I'm so excited - this is my first bootcamp and I'm really enjoying it! I did Day 1 and Day 2, just finished my cardio for Day 2 and I feel really good. My goal is to not miss a day and I hope I can do it! I do Turbo Jam for my cardio, so I really enjoyed the kickboxing yesterday, and I also liked the strength training today. Resistance bands always feel awkward to me, so to get by the awkwardness and feel the exercises working is a challenge for me, but I did it! Good luck to everyone!

Day 2 done! 30 minutes on treadmill and completed the video. Got up at 4:55am to complete all before work. Have to get up earlier as the kids and I were all late this morning. UGH! I'm determined to do it though! Will have to go to bed earlier to get my rest!

I think you are doing the right thing in holding off on working out. I think you need to listen to your body or you will hurt it more than it is now. Good for you I know it is hard but you'll be glad you waited. Jump right in when you feel better. emoticon

I am so disappointed! I have been looking forward to this bootcamp. I had been telling my husband I was going to do this. Saturday night about 11:00 I was going down the stairs. I don't know what happened, but I ended up falling down the last three steps. I can't say how I twisted, or didn't twist. All I know is I feel and Sunday I was sore and out of sorts emotionally Sun. Today, I am still sore and not sure exercise will work not until my back feels better. Hopefully Tue. or Wed. I am so bummed.

The funny thing is my husband has seen me exercising, heard me talking about walking, which he will do if I walk in the evenings. He said that it was all the exercising that kept me from getting really hurt. Right now, I feel it is just the big baby hurts that is aggravating me. So until I feel sure I won't cause more damage, I will hold off. What to you all think?

I have been forgiven more then I have forgiven and loved more then I have loved.

I am thankful for spell check and, dictionary.reference.com/ .

As always, thanks for letting me share.

I started day 1 and 2 today, I really liked the cardio kickboxing it was quick and still got my heartrate up!! i enjoyed day 2 and it'll go great with what I do with my Leslie Sansone hips and thighs dvd!!

Speaking of which I'm going to pick up tradtional resistance bands tonight and give them a try today I used my L.S. fit cuffs and it worked very well.

I hope everyone achieves the goals they've set for themselves this challenge!!

I did great and lost around 20 lbs last challenge and am looking forward to losing more and getting healthy!

I've got a good start on day 2.
I did the cardio kickbox video first because I knew that one had a warm up, and i stink at coming up with my own warm up.
then I did the day 2 bands video. It was ok though I must get better with the bands.
I had a banana with breakfast so the bonus challenge is on its way.
I just need to do 20 more minutes today.....AND it's my Burn 2 day on ChaLEAN extreme. I wish it was a cardio day but it's a strength day so It's a heavy exercise day for me today.

I am in control of who I am and who I will become.

if you scroll down to the bottom of the page the video is found on, there's a button that says "Add to Fitness Tracker". if you are logged in, it should automatically add it for you. I just found that button this morning while previewing today's workout.

Go throught the workouts slowly at first to get a feel for them. She does state to go at your own pace. As you keep up with them the uncoordination will go away. So long as you keep moving the whole ten minutes your still getting the cardio workout required. Also don't forget to only go at your own range of motion. Just because she can kick to hip level doesn't mean your going to on the first try.

I thought day 1 was fun! I felt like a boxer. Today's seemed a bit tougher to me...I didn't know if I had the band in the right place and the leg that wasn't working seemed more tired than the leg that was working. anyway...I did it and I feel GREAT!! i'm so psyched about this whole challenge! emoticon

I found that I was like some other posters..... uncoordinated with punches & kicks flying all over the place on the kickboxing video. Geez.... what a klutz I am. I'm getting ready to do today's workout and I'm sure it'll feel weird because I've never used resistance bands before but am excited to try them.

Have a super day everyone!

Hi,
I missed yesterday (thought we start monday duh!) So, I was going to catch up and do day ONE.
I CANNOT SEE THE VIDEO...there is nothing there but the text...I have a fairly new MAC, and have seen plenty of videos on this site...but there is not even the blank video screen...what's up??
Since the first video is kickboxing, I think I'll count my yesterday Turbo Jam (40 minutes) of doing the kickboxing video - Is that ok?

I missed the first workout yesterday because we had a sickly kid on Saturday night and I was exhausted yesterday. But today's workout was okay. It did not seem that challenging though. I used my yoga bands and they worked out okay. I had to modify some of the positioning, but it was fine. One thing: on the video you cannot see what the girl is doing with her feet, so in the stretching part its a bit confusing. There are a bunch of different stretches that look like that on top but the feet are what change, so I wasnt sure which one she was doing. I just did the ones I wanted to do.

I think the leg I was balancing on got more of a workout than the banded leg! Doing it after my walk/jog this morning did feel pretty good though.

Good luck, all!

I don't have any resistance bands, so I need to get some -any suggestions on brand (I was going to go to Walmart, but now I'm not so sure...) Stay strong everyone!

Went to WalMart yesterday and bought the cheaper resistance tubes instead of the band - very hard to do the workout. I will be going back...
Sometimes the cheaper option is not better.

JUST FINISHED DAY 2 BUT IT WAS DIFFICULT DUE TO THE RESISTANT BAND. WHEN I HAD IT ON THE FOOT IT KEPT SLIPPING LOOSE AND WHEN I DID IT AROUND MY ANKLES IT REALLY HURT. I MANAGED TO FINISH BUT IT REALLY MADE MY WORKOUT VERY DIFFICULT.

Did it! That was a tougher workout than I thought it would be. The kicks definitely got to me fastest. I had to keep them lower so I could keep going, but I did finish it. =D

If not now, when?

My only trouble with the kickboxing vid was the jumping jacks. I tried doing them unmodified and then my exercise-induced asthma started kicking in, so I switched to modified and avoided an asthma attack. I never knew 10 minutes of cardio could cause me to break a sweat. WOW!!! I was pleasently surprised.

Got it done! I completed the 10 min kick boxing video and went for a run this evening. Yay. Very rarely am I able to get my fitness to work along side my nutrition. With this challenge I want to finally make the connection. Good day!

I couldn't do the video today! Can't do anything involving moving around in my tiny cramped office. And I tried to use the "internet" option on the Wii in the living room, and I kept getting a very different video than the one we're supposed to get. A music video on youtube. So I guess I'll todays video & tomorrow's at work, where there's lots of room. I did 40 mins of cardio today to make up for it.
