Wow great Day Everyone! Its so great to see soo many people going into this, it's so nice to know that you are not alone in your goals, for me thats so inspiring to see the things everyone else is able to overcome, one step at a time :) Great job everyone!! emoticon
I ended up doing by matter of coincidence, also half an hour of raking, and a two hour walk today..whew I'm tired! emoticon but feeling good :)

Well, I joined the challenge to give me some structure and it worked for Day 1 at least. I'm not sure I would have had it in me to work out today otherwise, but with the challenge in mind, I did the first video and tried out a new yoga DVD. The DVD was more advanced than my normal routine, and I didn't have the stamina to do the whole thing. But I did much of it, and it felt great.

Today I did 50 minutes of cardio plus the bootcamp video. I can feel it but it's a good feeling. emoticon

I don't enter my minutes until after I am done too. Usually at the end of the day. Somedays, I have to break up my workouts into smaller pieces, instead of one big chunk or I would never find time to do it. Is that what other busy people do?

To WHYNOTME, people have so many fitness minutes because some people enter their workouts in advance. Personally, I don't enter then until I do them because with two small boys I barely know what I'm doing from one minute to the next and sometimes have to modify my workout plans. Don't think people are cheating just because they have a lot of minutes/points early in the month, it's not always the case.
With that said, I had fun with today's video! I felt totally uncoordinated but it was fun. I even worked up a little sweat.

I am thinking of taking a swimsuit before picture, but I do not think I will ever be brave enough to post it. It is a fact of who I am, but I do not want to re-enforce the image ya know. Maybe too much thinking about "law of attraction" for me!

But what Sandy is saying is, this is only the 3rd day of May and 1000 workout minutes? That is over 16.5 hours in 3 days?! Hmmm... I think that is ludacris... Unless someone is counting every detail of their life like, cleaning house, walking around house putting up clothes, walking around at shopping mall, that might be how?

Sandy, in addition to this workout I work out on my own. I usually do a push up and sit up challenge, plus walk and or run with my dog each day. I gain points for all of these. Plus, stretches and core work every other day all add up.

I lasted 15 min of Billy Blanks......I think I am dead....my heart hasn't figured that out yet. I think I used muscles I forgot about having. I also forgot I could move like that.....I just hope I can move tomorrow emoticon what was I thinking? Or was I?

Oh my Gosh what a workout! I am totally uncoordinated and thank goodness they are only 10 minutes, but I did it and going to look at tomorrows workout now.

QUESTION:

If the May Challenge just started today...

And we have 1 video to do
And we have 1 extra challenge to do

How are people already getting more than 1 point for these...especially the extra challenge...

And how do people already have over 1000 mins for Cardio for May???? That's pretty good if someone can do 1000 minutes of cardio in a day!!!

Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong?

well just did day 1 boot camp, I have to admit I was not able to keep up 100% but did better then anticipated. Also for the first time recorded my measurements . I know the scale may not be my friend if I start exercising.
I also Have been doing the exercises from a earlier article for lower back pain so all in all I am proud of myself.

Did it, I did day 1 video, had to modify a few steps, but I did it.

Startin weight and measurements will have to wait until tomorrow, I forgot to weigh before I ate breakfast, so I will start keeping stats on Monday.

Finished the Day 1 video. It was interesting.

Its raining here in NJ so cant ride my bike. I am going to do a WATP Leslie Sansone video and walk 3 miles. that will be my 30 min cardio for today.

Day 1 down - and 30 more to go................ LOL

FREE2LOSE You can always double up on the exercise. Do it twice in a row. I might do that tomorrow for cardio.

Yay, finished the first day workout! I was also a bit uncoordinated for some of the moves... particularly the grapevine with the punch, punching with the same side that you are stepping... I just punched indiscriminately until the next exercise was introduced!
