hello everyone! Like in many posts I have read, I have problems with consistency. So I am hoping I can keep it up. I am getting married on June 6th and I want to feel comfortable in a swimsuit, maybe even a two piece (most likely a tankini). i am really excited about this and am hoping that my arms and back really tone up for my wedding dress!

I just joined. I have already caught the exercise bug, but it will be fun to do the class with others to see how it goes!

I haven't worn a swim suit in about a century. I'm still too heavy to feel comfortable in a suit but I figure doing this bootcamp could get me in enough shape to feel more comfortable in shorts which would be nice since I live in a beach town.

Hi! I've decided to try this. I really need something to help me with consistency. I seem to exercise for a week or two, then slowly let other things take over the time. I hope Bootcamp will help with that!

I had already tried in the past the 10 min. cardio kickboxing workout (day 1st video) and it was ok - sometimes hard, but not too long. The moves are fun and you don't think too much about the effort you're putting in it.

I really want to follow this bootcamp. I need to really stick with this. I don't know why it is soo hard to stick with anything that has to do with loosing weight, but I really want to do this. I need to get a belt but don't have the ability to do so at the moment I will have to see what I can do...Hope I can keep focused and stay with this...

Any start is better than none. I really want to stick with this. Like others, I always start with good intentions but then life gets in the way; school, work. homework, etc.

My incentive is that I am going to visit my parents and I really want to be able to have fun with my nieces who will be there also.

IDK what's going on with posts b/c I disabled the email notification when I signed on. All I can say is for everyone to uncheck email me when there is a reply whenever you post a response to a thread and that should cut down on your email load considerably.

I'm glad it is Friday also. I am going away tomorrow for my 28 wedding anniversary, wiil be back on sunday afternoon. Will do the video when I return. I too just hope with my schedule I can get the challenges in every day. I always sign up with goo dintentions & then I feel like I have failed when I don't finish or complete something. I am hoping this wil be different!

BOUNCERMB, Unfortunately there isn't a way to turn off the team's ability to create new topics. I would suggest turning off your notifications for now and once people figure out how things work you can turn them back on. As long as check under the "Daily Workouts & Challenges Forum" daily you won't miss a thing.

I'm looking forward to integrating more strength training into my schedule. I'm great with cardio, but lazy about strength, even though I know all the advantages (and have experienced them in the past). But this is a great way to do it, with lots of like-minded people.

I agree with all the new topic threads being a pain in the butt. I also wish people would read the existing stuff, especially sticky topics 1st, but I realize that a lot of people may be new to SP and not realize it. I've just gotten accustomed to quickly deleting everything that's not from a coach-so be it.

I was super pumped that all the craziness of my past week is gone, and FINALLY have time to go to the gym to get in Day 1........then saw it doesn't start until Sun. Oh well, I guess I'll also get a jumpstart.

i definitly thought the callenge started today- so i started my morning off in my pjs and runners doing the upper body workout- this isnt a bad thing, what the heck its a jump start!... but i think i bought a resistance band that is "hard" i so couldnt lift the thing over my head for the first excercise.. i better just get stronger!

Morning all! I just got my first video alert and I'm feeling really excited about this challenge. I did so-so in the last one but I have a new resolve which, I hope, will help me do better this time around.


I have to vent, I'm sorry, I'm going crazy here. I'm getting so many new topics notifications that it's making me want to drop out of the team and do the challenge on my own. WHY is it so hard for people to NOT start a new topic when the stickies read "do not"? I mean, seriously.... there are at least 10 everytime I open my email. Yes, I could turn off notifications but then I don't get the video/challenge alerts and I need those to remind me. *sigh* Ok, vent over.

Coach Nicole, I need your help! Is there any way to turn the ability for us to create new topics off? I don't want to turn my email notification off because I'm afraid I'll miss something important, but all these new topics are driving me nuts. My inbox is clogged with useless information and my iPhone has been going crazy for two days.
Other bootcampers, PLEASE stop creating new topics. There are places to post everything you need without bombarding everyone with a million emails a day.

Congrats on 28 years Laurie!!! That awesome!

For everyone that is "scared" about this boot camp. Don't be! I just look at it as I know I have to answer to all of you each day about whether or not I did my workout and I'm hoping that you all will hold me accountable. If I know someone is keeping tabs on me then I am that much more apt to stick with it! I will try my best to help you all do the same. I wish it were starting today!! My biggest test is going to be to do it on the weekends. I normally don't log into SP on the weekends because my computer is slow, but this time I'll have to! That's going to be a challenge in itself for me. Good luck to you all!

Oh, and I bought my resistance band at Five Below for $5.00. Hope this helps!
