Don't own an iPad yet, but definitely plan on getting one when the new version comes out, and would totally use SparkPeople every day on same. Currently use my iPhone 4 and iPod Touch with Spark App every day.

Quick note to everyone, we finished our iPad application and submitted to Apple for approval. It should be available soon!

Another me too for the iPad HD app! I expected SP to jump at the chance to update the iPhone app! With the expanded space, the iPad is ideal for keeping your foods and exercise entered! Please?!?

I take it out with me a lot more than I took my laptop out since it's so much smaller. I do have the Apple case for it which I would recommend to anyone. It's worth the money. I love mine and don't know how I lived without it for so long.

My sister and cousin are interested in iPad. Do you carry it around with you or just use at home? Do you have a case for it?

Still not convinced about iPad. Am going to upgrade my iPod Touch to iPhone when new model comes out in Canada next month.

I love my IPad and agree that a HD Version of the Spark People apps would be a great idea. I generally enter my data using Safari on my iPad since it is much easier to to see everything on the larger screen. emoticon

I've used apps that automatically know if you're using a iPhone/iTouch and adjust, and others I've had to buy the iPad version of. People wouldn't have to use the HD version if they didn't want to. I would still use my iPhone Spark app for on the go.

I love my iPod because it fits in my pocket and as long as I have a wireless connection which is always the case from work and from home I am totally on top of my food and fitness tracking . I don't find the small screen a problem and have no desire to get an ipad because I already have a widescreen laptop and a very powerful portable netbook. I also rarely visit SP site now as my main needs are met by the SP app on iPod. When I am doing other stuff on my laptop that is when I catch up on my streaks, Spark points, friend emails etc. If the apps did more I would not feel like I am neglecting spark friends. I am more in touch with people through facebook app.

I agree (as I sit here typing on mine as well!). There are so many possibilities to access more of the site from an iPad app than to just get the basics as with the iPhone app.

Think Facebook - I rarely even go to the website anymore because all the information I need is right there on the app, condensed, and easier to navigate.

I'd pay for a premium iPad app from Spark!!

Ok, it's out now. In fact, I'm using mine to write this right now. So far, I'm in love and think this is some of the best money I've spent. BUT I would kill for SparkPeople to update the iPhone app to be more compatible with the iPad.

If I had to name one thing I was kind of disappointed in with the iPad, it's how iphone apps run on it. I love my SparkPeople apps and would like to see them take full advantage of the abilities of the iPad.

So please, please, please SparkPeople, update your apps so they run better on the iPad.

Thanks!
