Yay, Thanks I just tried entering a new food and it worked. Now if only it we could use it without being connected to the internet. But that is just on my wish list for now. Thanks for the great app.

Yup, me too, cant save manually entered foods. Been looking forward to this app, but can't use it as the main until that's fixed.

Fix the Manually Entered Foods, and I'll probably dump Lose It! But can't until then because I make way too much custom stuff.

But otherwise GREAT job! Love the new app! It will be my Main one once this is fixed! Love the graphs, love the colors!

ditto on these issues for me . . . cant save manually entered foods - get the error message . . . and would love water back and weight pushed to the more tab . . . better yet . . . in a future release . . . embed the water tracking to the home page summary.

oh and would be nice if you could add decimals when entering food manually

- love it over all though and sure you will all quickly fix these issues . . . well one is a bug/issue the other is more a design request. Great job folks

Love the updates, thanks. I have been having a problem entering any new foods. When I got to create a food and enter all the info, I click on save food and get an "Oops, we've encountered an error. Please try saving your food again. With an OK button below. I can click ok which takes me back to the page and if I click save food again it just takes me back to the error message. I have not been able to enter a food since I updated two days ago.

I like the app, but I had a problem with logging in ang getting points. Now, I'm still trying to figure out how to log in. Any suggestions?

I think that you guys are doing great with adding features. I like new home page, but it has pushed the 'water' category off the main toolbar choices. Can you add a feature tha sets what categories show at the bottom? Leave 'home' and 'more', but I'd like to use the nutrition, fitness, and water, putting weight into the 'more' section.

Love the update!!
I will definitely use it regularly and have rated it a 5 on the i-tunes site! What a treat to have an easy to use nutrition tracker in a neat little hand held device. When I started using SP over a year ago I thought "wouldn't it be neat if there were some gadget you could get to track your food and view your daily plan away from the computer" and voila! you've created it. This new version really does address almost all of the problems of the earlier versions. Thank you SP! emoticon

MUCH better. Wish I could also see the sodium per day as that is important to me for a health issue but maybe that will be in a later update.

Otherwise, this update makes this THE app to have. Thank you!!!!

My brain makes too much spinal fluid so my central nervous system is over pressurized. High cranial pressure is very dangerous. It could kill me.

Love the updates! I am like VALERIENEAL and I have added AM Snack, PM Snack, and Pre Workout Snack to my meal categories. Unfortunately when you go to add foods you can't access those additional categories, you just see the regular Snack category.

Fortunately, those calories are included in the total calories shown on the main page of the app so at least now (since the update) I can see where I'm at in the evening even if I don't see those AM/PM/Preworkout snacks listed on the page where you enter food you ate.

I love the update, but I ran into some problems...

1. When doing a search, and switching to "All Words", the app crashed. I have not yet reproduced it.

2. I was trying to add a food and got an error saying it had a error updating the server and to try again. I kept retrying with no luck. (Also, it would be nice to be able to enter decimal points here)

Oh! Sorry, brain cramp. I'll go take a peek right now.

If so - that's fantastic! I've been making notes on my phone while at the gym so I don't forget the true calories burnt (loading Safari on my 3GS just takes up so much battery power), but this will be soo much easier.

Awesome! I love the new updates. The only thing I would like to see modified is the the weight. If it could allow for decimals then I think this app may just have about everything I currently use with SP.

JOESTHER, as a quick note you can manually enter calories burned. You can:
- Go to the Fitness tab
- Click the Add button on the upper right
- Instead of searching, click the "Add an exercise not listed" button at the bottom of the page

When you manually add an exercise you can also add it to your favorites. Hope this helps!

I absolutely love the new upgrade. Thanks so much for putting the calorie and other goals and current status on the main page - so helpful.

I'd love it if you added food groupings, as well as manual entry of calories burned (fitness) on the app, as sometimes the number of cals the app says I've burnt versus the machines at the gym are off by 200 or more.

I am impressed with the new upgrade!!! I was wonering though if adding new categories to our nutrition page is in the works, for example I added Am Snack and Afternoon snack so I could see how much I was getting at each meal instead of just on huge snack category.

Dead Last Finish is greater than Did Not Finish, which trumps Did Not Start.

Downloaded the update first thing this morning and did experience the crashes, but knew it would be fixed so just checked back later on and it works great.

Thanks so much for all the updated options. I use this app every single day along with the terrific website for SparkPeople.

You've done a great job on the update. I do use the groups quite a bit, but know it takes time to get all the functionality of the website on the iPhone app. Your efforts are so appreciated.

I'm so glad there is a new version but it sounds like the (1) most important thing I needed isn't there. FOOD GROUPINGS!!! I've made 80% of the stuff I eat into food groupings to save me time! :(

So is there a reason this has been left out and any suggestions?

Hi everyone

Our version 2.0 is now available! You can get it from your updates tab on your phone's App Store.

We made a number of enhancements, all based on feedback from our members. The main changes include:
- New home screen that shows a quick summary of calories eaten and burned for the day
- Ability to add your own foods to the tracker
- Options to search the food tracker for your manually entered foods, plus foods shared by other members (we have almost 1 million foods shared by other members, so you should find practically anything you would eat!)
- Food tracker screen now shows remaining calories, carbs, fat, and protein for the day to reach your goals
- Option to select serving sizes in grams
- Ability to edit your weight-loss goal
- 3 new reports – Calorie Differential, Calories Burned, and Calories Eaten Breakdown

There was a problem with the app crashing this morning, but that was fixed at about 9:30 AM EST.
