Thanks for your support Janet! Glad your move is getting sorted, I have no desire to (ever) move, love it here.

I am under control with food and syns this week but have to accept I've had a lot over the last few weeks! Was really fed up yesterday but know I'll sort it!

New possible stress is that my girl is thinking of going to Uni in September. We are going to Salford in April to check it out more. Today did remind her she will have to wash up her pots (all of them) if she has to live with others at Uni.

Interesting thing she said earlier was that up to the age of 16 children are told to sit there and do what you are told but at 16 you are expected to do things for yourself and know what you want to do (her Dad said Welcome to the real world!) emoticon

I think Christmas treats last too long in most homes Donna....I know in our group they do a thing where members can bring items in to donate to a food bank but can't say I've ever put anything in there!!! Lol.

I can imagine that moving would be an upheaval for you Donna....I seemed to have moved around quite a lot since 1992 when I left my first marriage....this was actually my 8th move, maybe I'll stay put now, hope so!!!

Glad you're getting used to your new car....it sounds a nice one.

My breathing doesn't seem to be very good again even though I've only just finished a long course of steroids....hope I don't need any more just yet.

Sorry I have not posted for a while, I have been struggling on plan a little, my meals tend to be good but still eating Christmas chocolates etc and too many of them! Hence I haven't been to WI yet this year but last year didn't go till 26th Jan so hopefully will be going soon.

Glad to hear that the move has gone well Janet, I have been in my current house for 23 years and can't imagine moving! It sounds like you did a lot of sorting out in the new house, hope you will be very happy there.

I haven't got a soup maker but use a hand blender to blend the soup, recently have made Leek and Potato soup which was very filling and tasty.

I think I am getting used to my Volkswagen Touran car which is a beautiful car but as with all cars I find it hard to get used to it! It also seems bigger than my old car but its okay.

The move went quite smoothly and I can't believe we've been in here a whole week already. It feels really comfy and especially as it's a bigger place.
We're still putting up pictures etc. Matt was here last night to help out with some things so I'm thankful for that.

I finished my course of steroids on Monday and hope to stay well now. I haven't been called back to the lung hospital yet.

Today we registered with a new doctors surgery here in this new town. Hope they have a good service for us.

How's everyone else doing?

Quick pop in....

emoticon Annie, good to see you posting too.
I've had a Morphy Richards soup maker for maybe 3 years....so quick & easy to use. Chop veg, add stock cube and top up with water, turn on and it takes about 20 mins for a smooth soup, while I unpack my shopping.
Sue's right there are other settings too but that's the one I seem to use.
Great for your forward planning and hope being a sw online member is your way to success.
Hope BLC42 goes well for you too.

Sue, absolutely brilliant to not have a gain over Christmas, a feat I've never managed!!

Donna, sorry your time was spoilt by the migraine....I have a friend that chocolate causes migraines....nasty side effect!!
Glad to read (elsewhere) that you've now enjoyed your family meal.

So we are due to move on Friday....almost packed up now, been such a long haul as we had the other flat to thoroughly decorate! One room was shocking pink!!
We're moving 5 miles along the coast so not far away. Yes another flat, except this one is bigger with a separate kitchen, but single and double bedroom instead 2 doubles. Hopefully we will be comfortable and won't move again in a very long time. This will be our 4th move since we returned from Spain almost 8 yrs ago.
To get through this work I've been back on steroids since just before Christmas....
Anyway, hopefully all this will soon be history and we can settle back into normal living again... emoticon

I'll check out that soup maker - we've been having a lot of soup lately.

Well I've started listing the syns value of my fave foods in a notebook and have planned my menu for Wednesday (day 1) and adjusted my groceries list so I've made a start. I don't think I'm going to be hungry on this plan. Am looking forward to losing some weight for a change.

Today is glossing the hall...

Hello everyone - just joined Slimming World online - never heard of soup makers - I will check them out. First jobs - change my online grocery order and figure what I'm going to eat for the first week - any ideas for breakfasts anyone? I will start on Wednesday as that is when I weigh in for BLC42 plus I have a coupla things in the fridge to use up that I know for sure won't fit the plan.

Happy New Year team. I had a horrid cold the week before Christmas but luckily Christmas week I was much better and had a lovely peaceful, quiet Christmas Day one I would be happy to redo again next year and thankfully my daughter took charge and wrote the list of what everyone had been given which is something I like to do but don't always keep up when gifts are being opened.
New Year's Eve I realised my bra was tighter than it should be as I've eaten a lot of chocolate this Christmas, very synful so thought that was causing my headache. Later I realised that I had a migraine and eventually when I had been sick after my best mate and her dogs had gone I did feel a bit better but super tired. NYD I felt weary first thing so cancelled the meal I had planned with family and continued to feel better through the day.
Thankfully I feel much better today but I have not eaten as much chocolate since! I felt so bad! Ha ha!

Merry Christmas to all, hope you're having a good time.
Quiet day for us and we're enjoying the peace. Lots of phone calls and face time calls.

Asked for, and received, a soup maker, so from Friday, I see lots of tasty soups in our future. Also Pinch of Nom lighter cookbook to work my way through in the New year. Only one small box of maltesers, so not as much temptation as normal.

Will catch up in the New year.

Hope your friend is going to be alright Donna...

Well done for weighing in, less pressure now.

Well evidently I did have side effects from the injections at the Brompton...the big red itchy patches at the injection sights on both arms so they weren't able to inject me again with the same drug. They'll have a meeting and decide what next.

All going along with the new flat and packing up this one....16 days to go.

Happy Christmas Donna and anyone else passing by!

Went to club again tonight, just a Weigh and Go, hoping to WI again next week as its Party Night but i don't have to WI now as I did so today! Pressure off. Really need to plan well to prevent myself overeating tomorrow as I do the day after some weeks! Still determined to not start too many Christmas goodies till after next Tuesday.

I am going to see my friend who has had the lump removed tomorrow, she isn't allowed to drive until the 19th so hopefully is having a rest. I have flowers and a card for her tomorrow and we will talk and laugh lots I am sure!

I know you are moving in a month Janet, what a lot of work but very exciting too I know. Glad its not me though!

Glad you have had nice times with Sarah and your son and although Sarah's boys.

Hope things are well with you too Sue and all other wonderful team members. emoticon

I think you've done very well to get back to target range on your week of grace. I think it's just difficult juggling that range and eating!
Glad you had a lovely time with your friend...I agree, I don't think I'd feel very calm either but hopefully she will respond well to treatment.

Off to view the flat on Friday morning....will just have to see what we think of it as to whether we take it or not.

Yesterday I went out to lunch with Sarah...had a really lovely time together chatting and laughing. Does me a power of good that!!

Tomorrow I'm due to see my respiratory consultant and later Joseph has an osteopath appointment.

Yes Janet I went to club last week thinking I was at target but was 1lb over and devastated, however it makes you really concentrate and I talked to my consultant about this and she agreed at target we can get a little complacent at target!

When I'd weighed this week I was 1lb under my target weight and REALLY pleased. Yes not surprisingly I overate the day after and had a dreadful nights sleep as it all went straight through :-( that's life isn't it.

Had a lovely meal in with my pal and her daughter last night, which was super. She was in good form despite being diagnosed with Breast Cancer, luckily it seems she has found it early but she is still calmer than I think I would be.

Thanks Donna.
A lot of paperwork had to be completed for the flat. Seems that as nobody sent their paperwork back they didn't actually get an offer for the flat. So they are processing our lot, including extra medical stuff I had to give them re the need for 2 bedrooms. Hope we hear something soon about going to view the place.

The Brompton Lung hospital has been another paperwork saga. Thankfully it was finally sent to the panel last Friday who have agreed I can have the treatment AND my first session is on Wednesday this week.

We've just had work being done on the railway line here so took ourselves away again for Tuesday night, home Wednesday!! Bad timing as we were due to leave for London on Thursday until Saturday. It all felt a bit of a rush around.

Anyway London was lovely. Hotel wasn't that good but we were so close to the big stores so a good place to be. We bought some nice things and walked so many hours....and not much food so that was a bonus!!

I did indeed weigh in at group on 31st Oct and also 8th Nov. I won't be weighing this week though.

Have you managed one yet Donna?
That's nice that you have a Chronic Club to attend. It sounds like my Breathe Easy one.

Sue...any news from you?

Hope that flat turns out to be a good one for you both Janet.

Saw my Mum yesterday and she was still 'buzzing' about last Wednesday when we took her out for the meal. We hope she will talk about it for a LONG time! We are proud it went at well as it did.

I had a lovely walk around a local garden centre yesterday with 2 girls from my Chronic Club and although it reminded me how close Christmas is,it seemed a little strange as it was so Christmassy and its only early November. The girls really seemed happy with the trip and they both complained that lots of people do lots at weekend and with their conditions they don't get to do very much, so successful all round.

My eating has been much better this week but still had Chinese on Saturday with my dh and dd so not sure if I will be able to go to WI tomorrow, still hopeful and determined though, if its not tomorrow it will be next Tuesday! emoticon emoticon

Hi everyone...can you believe that tomorrow is 1st November!!! Where is this year flying to?

All mostly OK here with Joseph & I.
Biggest news is that we are being offered a social housing flat to rent. We have to view it first so that will be the deciding factor.

I'm off to group tomorrow, I'd like to weigh but will have to see what my home scales declare tomorrow morning!!

How's everyone else doing?

Donna, your consultant sounds a strange one. Our list is called from the order that members weighed in....I'm sure that must be quicker and easier.

We still have too much rain down south...
This Saturday is the town fireworks display and bonfire...that could be a wet event, not that I go.

Matt's been in Wales since Monday, home tomorrow and I gather it's been wet there too.

British weather too! emoticon North West weather seems to be worse too I think, however from the maps the South is suffering more at the moment. As promised the weather is raining today!

I don't enjoy my group as much as I used to, I am happy to support the others but the last two times I have been left to the last. My consultant goes around each person with her Ipad asks what they have achieved and what they plan for next week. Maybe next time.

I think I am going to try to have a few lighter days in the week to get control over my eating rather than a full week of lighter eating as I think that may have got me to target but also encouraged me to eat lots (binge maybe) when I got back to 'normal' SW eating. So perhaps half and half may be a better idea. emoticon

I suppose as it's Autumn we should expect this weather Donna. I think it's rained all day today.

I enjoy going to group and target members are an important part of our group. Our consultant says it shows our commitment and an encouragement to show members that they can get there too!

Sadly I followed the pattern I had been doing over the holiday and beyond but today has to be the day I get back to healthy again. I know when I was eating less before I weighed in last week I wasn't really hungry and I really don't need the treats so often!

Food diary out again and planning better now. emoticon emoticon

Really pleased when I went to Weigh In last night I was a little heavier than last time 6 weeks ago but I was still comfortably within my target range so really pleased. However I did overeat a little (always say I won't do this) and today feel a little rough so am planning a sensible week!

Hi Donna & Sue....

Sue that would be wonderful for you both if Ralph could take his retirement soon. I hope it works out.
Well done for keeping going with your losses, they all add up.

Donna, glad you're starting to really heal better now.
I'm sure your scales will agree and be in weighing condition very soon.

Joseph still doesn't really seem well to me. his balance isn't right even though they say nothing happened. I would have thought that taking that one tablet would have worn off by now...10 days ago.
He saw the GP yesterday (waste of time!) seems the hospital are doing the neurology appointment...personally I think that will drop through the net?

I haven't weighed at group but am managing to stay at top end of target so not too stressed about that.
Yesterday was my Sarah's birthday. She came after work with a choc cake. Two of my three grandsons came too, evidently the other twin won't come if the other one does, and vice versa!! (they're 14)
Joel who is 22 came to say his goodbyes, he's the one who was in Oz for a year. Today they took him to Heathrow as he's off to tour Asia probably until mid December. He's certainly worked hard for a year to save the money to go again.

October 1st....this year is whizzing past!!

Thanks Sue, think my chest/ribs seemed much better yesterday so hopefully I'm over the worst!
Great advice about the pillows but actually I found I just had to change position in bed till I was comfortable. Haven't had Paracetamol for 4 days now emoticon

Glad to hear your eating and losing is progressing well. Its hard sometimes isn't it! Mostly this week I have continued eating lighter and the scales have been more 'friendly', still hoping to go to Weigh In on Tuesday as it'll be 6 weeks since I last went. Fingers crossed!

I am lucky my hubby doesn't do any night shifts but he does work long hours in the summer and I won't miss that. I think he will work for himself as he has a lot of skills that can be valuable but he can pick and choose what he does!

Morning all.

Donna, can you try propping up a few pillows so you aren't laying flat in bed? May help.
Hope your hubby gets on track as well, we all have to look after our health.

Hubby looking into retiring early, maybe as soon as next January when he is 61. He can get a reduced work pension then and with my pension that's fine. He will have to wait until 66 for state pension of course. Lots of talking to do, would be nice, I am 66 and hate his 12 hour shifts, especially the nightshifts!

Doing well with my eating and losing well.

How are you doing Janet?

Great to hear from you Sue on this site. I understand you wanting to 'stick at it' now for health reasons especially.
My dh has cut down on some things this week for the same reason. He still wants to retire early from his current job but knows life won't be 'long' if he doesn't look after himself. He also had a blood test two weeks ago and something came back a bit high so he's having it tested again next week.

My rib area still aches a little when I lie down and I'm trying to be patient and still haven't been back to my Aqua class which I am really missing, though I am making sure I get a 15 min walk in daily minimum.

I have struggled to get the scales back to my pre-holiday weight but this week have tried limiting the quantities of most of my foods and yesterday the scales were back into the correct Stone value for me so think I may get to weigh in next week as it will be 6 weeks. Fingers crossed and a lot of 'hard work', I can do it!

Morning all.

Donna, hope the ribs are on the mend, but sadly they do take a while. My younger son had an accident years ago and he was a few months before his ribs healed. Take care.

Janet, have you recovered from your ordeal? Have you heard anything yet?

I had my annual blood tests and came back pre diabetic. I am going back to repeat them in 6 months and am seriously losing weight now! 5lbs down in 2 weeks.

Hope to see Suzy, I'll try to find her and send a goodie.

Certainly not any better here as you know Donna...

How are the ribs feeling now?

I gained weight with Joseph's hospital stay so had to start working on that again yesterday...

Hope everyone has had a good w/e. emoticon

Ribs still aching at night and sometimes during the day but Paracetomol helps. Time is moving on so hopefully its all healing. I never got it x-rayed as they can't really do anything!

Sadly I weighed myself yesterday morning and it wasn't great. As Ant had got some reduced priced sarnies the night before we had to have them for lunch and I almost never eat them and especially not the day before Weigh In, sadly it assisted my eating going seriously downhill and the scales are 'no surprise' even less kind today! Back onto plan today and must have SP day I think or maybe more Speed and Protein all week, I need to get back to it after my holiday etc! emoticon

Hope everyone is doing better than me! emoticon

Donna you could well have splintered several ribs...I've done that in the past and I know how much it hurts but it gradually subside. Try not to lift anything anyway...

My twin grandsons are August babies so only just 14, they have 2 yrs yet before their GCSEs.

Yes my appointment was yesterday. The hotel was the usual nightmare of banging doors...we may have well tried to sleep on Victoria station I think! We were so tired yesterday for such a long day. The tests were all completed, I posted more details on FFF and hopefully I'll be accepted for the injection programme. My skin test area is still really itchy...so hope it settles soon.

Hope our new member Suzy posts on here....

Yes well done to Emma on her results Sue. I hope Janet and I (with my son) are as pleased next year with our darlings results. It seems ages off but when I got an email yesterday from my son's school it said his final assessments are starting about May 11th! He has a lot of studying to do before then. Lets not rush things but enjoy the now.

My holiday was wonderful but as my hubby has not gone back to work till today I have still been eating a little 'holiday-fied' some of the time! Back on plan today as much as I can, would like to go to Weigh In sometime in near future.

Your big appointment is tomorrow I believe so hope you have a peaceful night away and that it all goes well for you. Great that they are listening to you!

My chest is still hurting from my holiday swim pool incident so I think its probably a fractured rib rather than just bruised so I'm expecting it realistically to be 6 weeks (thankfully it will be 3 weeks this Friday so mending) , wish I were more patient! emoticon

We have a new team member joined our group Suzy who seems to like the same reading material as me. Gonna read my Slimming World book as well this week as I need more guidance and although we all think we know it all, sometimes we 'forget' the extras!

Sue, your Emma is growing up! Big congratulations to her for the GCSE results. My twin grandsons are going back to being theirs this year....

Our local beaches didn't seem very full at all Sue...I was surprised but we only had a few days so maybe that's why families didn't bother and did other things.

Tina glad you enjoyed the Military Tattoo. I visited Edinburgh many years ago mainly for the castle as we Americans with us. Yes we did lots of walking too.
Well done on the 2lbs loss...not easy with all that coach sitting!!

Donna, so glad you had a lovely family time at Butlins. It's always good to get away for a break when you're a carer.
Of course you didn't eat on plan...that's what holidays are mostly about!!

I went to the lung hospital and was seen by the professor himself. I don't know how to put it but he didn't seem very interested in my case at first. But I think he got the picture as I added more facts. He prescribed a much higher dose of antihistamine....one that was refused my my GP. When I received his clinic letter his diagnosis was 'severe allergic asthma' this is the condition that they treat with the injections. He also asked for me to be fast tracked for my tests.
I had a call from the hospital and my appointment is on 12th Sept. This time we're planning on staying the night before in a hotel because my starting time is 8.30am. I'm told the testing could be for several hours.

It's my Matt's 45th birthday today and he's coming here for some cake and presents. Sarah is coming too...more to share the cake I'm thinking.

Morning all.

Tina, I would love to go to Edinburgh, maybe next year. Good news on your loss while on holiday.

Donna, we are having a day trip to skeggy tomorrow, Saturday, with a local coach firm.

Emma did really well in her exams equivalent of an A in Maths and B's in the rest. She was one mark from A's so the school are asking for them to be remarked as a lot of pupils were one mark off! She goes back on Wednesday to start A level studies, but has been doing work on them already through the holidays. Apparently they do that now as there isn't enough school time to fit it in!

Janet how are you doing? Bet your beaches have been full with the hot weather.

Have a good weekend everyone

We've just returned from Edinburgh. We went on Monday and back Friday to see the military Tattoo. It's been on my husband's bucket list for sometime, so we thought we ought to do it now.
I loved Edinburgh, what a beautiful city. Lots of walking!!

It was a lovely break, but so tiring. We travelled by coach and it was long days and short nights!
Hoping not to have gained too much weight while we were away

Update
The good news is... I lost 2lbs.... no idea how that happened, but I'll take that

Hello all, still here and plodding.

Our granddaughter is now 16 and waiting for GCSE results, don't they grow up quickly?

Wait for a couple of dry days in a row so hubby can paint our fences, it's only fine when he's at work, and raining when he's off. I can't do them as I can't lift them out of the posts.
He's got a couple of weeks off soon so if not done by then, it'll get done then.

We're only about 30 miles from Whaley Bridge, so hoping we don't get too much rain, so the dam can be fixed.

Glad to see you too Tina and that you have had a super holiday. Funny after I sent the jeans I felt it was too warm for jeans that day and summer trousers/skirt would have been a better idea! I prefer Spark Points rather than the goodies but its nice to share with special people.

I am having a nice August too and looking forward to my week away soon, but not soon enough. I am enjoying my DD and DS company 'most of the time'. Clearly my job isn't any different really but nice company for my MiL too. My girl is giving my son some Revision as he only has about 9/10 months till his GCSE's. Your grandson's have another year or so if they are 14 but it goes fast Janet.

I did indeed weigh in last Friday and this past one too....bang on target now so very happy with that result!!
I've got to try and keep on the ball and stay well then I should be alright.

The SP challenge I was doing for the last 12 weeks has now finished until September. It's been good to meet other members and join in the w/e challenges.

I've had my Royal Brompton appointment come through for 19th August....not long to wait.

How's everyone else doing during August?

Glad you're enjoying your holiday in Wales. It looks hot there too.

We weren't able to swim in the sea today because it was too rough...hopefully tomorrow. But we drove to the park and had a long walk there instead.

I'm still working so hard on this weight business and really do hope I can weigh in this Friday....

We're in South Wales in our caravan just now, beautiful place. It was our wedding anniversary yesterday, and we took a trip on the Brecon Mountain Steam Railway (beautiful) and then on the way back stopped of at a canal for a stroll, it was a lovely day.

Hi Sue good to hear from you again.
Well done to you for taking the slow route, that's me too...but we shall get there!!

Yes our holiday was lovely...just booked a little more sunshine for November! Have you got any more trips planned this year?

Donna, my almost 14 yr old grandsons are hooked on their Xboxes....sure they play a lot of football and sometimes go out with their friends but I think that spend too much time in front of those screens...

We've been for a 2hr walk along the seafront this afternoon...fairly briskly too.
I'm seeing an osteopath about my issue of getting up from a sitting postilion...she worked on my forearms, calves, thighs etc....I see her again on Weds. I have been doing the exercises!!

Morning all

Doing well and losing slowly, allowing the odd treat.

Janet, well done on losing your holiday gain, looks like you had a great time.

Donna, how old is your son? PlayStation is okay for a while in wet weather, but be better if you can get him out. Mine used to disappear for hours on their bikes once they got into their teens.

Glad you had a lovely holiday and really pleased you had a nice weekend away from the noises at your house (heard that elsewhere!)

I am still enjoying the sunshine but my Mum in Law is starting to find it challenging I think, she was a bit clingy yesterday wanting me to sit with her and hold her hand (not hard really but sometimes I want to do other things, like being on Spark!)

After 4 weeks I went to Weigh In last night and was at my target weight despite being 1/2lb heavier than I was last time, so very pleased. I am planning to weigh in once more before my holiday in 5 weeks, which is far more exciting than life at the moment.

My son finished school on Friday for the summer and I am not looking forward to it as he likes his PlayStation and not much else but his dad and sister keep saying he should do things but I don't know what! Gonna get him to decide what he thinks he should do.

Wow...tomorrow I will have been home a whole week from our holiday in the sun. Had a fab time and enjoyed our celebration meals.
The hotel was good as before and the food...so much choice!!
Weighed in last Sunday at home with a 6.8lb gain!!

Thankfully I've removed all but 1/2lb, hoping that will be gone by tomorrow.

We have railway works again at the back of our flat this w/e so are booking into a spa hotel so we can use their health club, lots of swimming. But...it will be eating away from home again!! I really don't need that but needs must I'm afraid.

How is everyone else doing?

Thanks Sue...off tomorrow. I'm amazed at how organised we are too.
Intermittent fasting works fine for a lot of people so well done and especially for changing that first number!!!

Donna your time away sounded very special...bridal suite...how lovely.
I know when I broke my ankle the fracture clinic consultant recommended I wore short ankle boots for a while to continue to support the ankle after the boot came off. My ankle felt weak and I asked for a physio appointment for a couple of exercises...they really helped.

See you all after the 6th July!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I don't post on Insta very often but thanks for your 'likes'.

We had a lovely night away yesterday, my daughter look after my MiL, my Mum and Dad came down for some time in the evening to reassure her and us! The accommodation was the bridal suite and the bath was huge so we had one last night and another this morning seriously relaxing! Just what we needed.

It has been 7 weeks tomorrow since my MiL got her boot on for her fractured ankle so I think we are going to try her walking with two slippers rather than her boot and see how she goes on today.

Finally losing weight again, and back down to the other number in front. I am eating SW food but mixing it with intermittent fasting and just eating between noon and 7pm. Seems to be working for me.

Janet, enjoy your holiday.

Sue well done for using the stairs at home for exercise and walking....!!

Donna, you've done so well with your weigh in!! emoticon Glad you got your feet done and dropped off the charity goods...I need to do that too. I had a turn out of some things that I don't wear anymore.

All good here...my holiday to do list is about done so only packing but too early for that. Strange feeling as I'm usually running around at the last minute...much better this way.
We leave on Tuesday and back on 6th July.

I weighed in on the SP challenge and was down a pound this week...that makes 5lbs. But my total since end of April is 10.2lbs. Of course my holiday will mess it all up but what can you do? emoticon

Really pleased to be able to go to WI yesterday and was 'bang on' target, even with a homemade Pizza at weekend, lots of Extra Easy SP meals, really pleased but it had been a few weeks ;-) Didn't stay to class just weighed and went as I had a Podiatrist appointment at 5pm which went very well, despite the deeper corns as I hadn't been for 10 weeks instead of my usual 6 weeks. Also took some 'sorted out' items to my fave charity shop Air Ambulance, delighted to have sorted it at last. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sounds a lovely holiday Sue and to lose weight as well is great!

I am happier now as I have found my phone, it had slipped through the lining of my bag again! I was in pieces really and about to go round the shops to see if I had left it in one of them!
Maybe I shouldn't have a phone as I keep losing it! emoticon

I am still strong with my eating and determined to go to my Weigh In next Tuesday. Still haven't had any potatoes all week! My hubby fancies Chinese tomorrow night and suggested homemade pizza tonight, No Way, will allow him the Chinese but not the pizza tonight!

I see my Mum's every week, sometimes twice a week as they are quite close, on Wednesdays Chloe usually goes to their house for a little while and James on Saturdays, although he didn't want to go today for some reason.

Indoors walking is def better than none Sue, very well done, thinking of doing the same myself!

Hope you have had a lovely weekend x

Morning all

Janet, we went to Paignton for 5 days. Had a day at the Living Coast in Torquay, a full day at Paignton zoo, and a day in Dartmouth including a river cruise. Walked over 22 miles in those 3 days, so no wonder I lost on holiday!

Still on tràck and feeling better about it.

Hope you have a great time, and are able to catch up with friends.

Donna, when are you off to catch up with your parents? You need regular breaks to recharge your batteries.

Hubby on nights and the weather is wet so walking indoors and stepping up on the bottom stair.

Have a great weekend

emoticon Sue, good to hear from you again.

You've certainly made some progress so don't be hard on yourself.
How was your holiday?

We're going to Mojacar in Almeria Spain...the area that we used to live and actually feel really at home in.

Can't wait for some good weather. I got drenched coming out of group to the car this morning!!

I am so sticking to plan, I don't think I'm really using any syns. No chocolate or hoops etc!!

Hello all, here I am crawling out of the woodwork after Donna tracked me down on Instagram, lol

Over the last couple of months I I gained a stone, but got myself back on track before our holiday and while on holiday and since we got back have lost 7lbs of that! So disheartened, but onwards and upwards as they say!

Back sticking to SW which I know works.

Janet, where are you going on holiday?

See you all later

Really glad SP days are working for you Donna. I suppose I mostly do those all the time but never think of it as that.
Great you did aqua aerobics, I miss that but know I can't mange it now.

That sounds like a nice treat for some jaffa cakes for the lady!

All much the same here. Working on the scales towards my holiday in just under 3 weeks.
I ordered 2 new dresses but they'll have to go back for a smaller size. You can never tell with sizes.
Avoided a meal out with sw friends...it's an Italian place, not my food at all.
Group tomorrow but not sure my friend is going.

Hi guys not doing a separate blog today as only one person responded. I have had a great day Aqua aerobics was fantastic, I loved it as usual.

I have now been doing Extra Easy SP for 5 days and the scales looked like it was working today, I so much want to get down to the lower end of my target range! I have not eaten any potatoes, rice or pasta in all that time and surprisingly I have not felt hungry by the end of the day! Planning baked potatoes after WI on Tuesday! Looking forward to going to club as for last two weeks I have been a little high in my target range! I have a real 'in control' feeling right now and feeling more confident than usual.

Had lovely chat at my friends this afternoon and this morning managed to spend 10 minutes with the lady at the Care Home but said that knew it was a short time but better than no time at all and she agreed, we also took her more JAFFA CAKES. emoticon emoticon

Hi Helen, I love that pink bag in your photo. I have read Dawn's story in full today, although she has done amazingly well I suggested to her that she doesn't try to lose too much, I am at my Happy Weight rather than the correct BMI weight.

I never did Rosemary Connolly, apart from two sessions, I really liked the exercise component of her plan. A friend of mine told me that there is a GOOD plan for each of us, one that is easiest to follow and keep to, but I think mixing them up isn't a major problem so long as you keep the syns/extras down (Limit them) and keep moving!

I have had three really On Plan days and am feeling good but Mon/Tues are Ant's day's off so tend to be more 'challenging' and tomorrow is the Children's Festival on Whit Monday in Garstang so fingers crossed for me! emoticon

Still trying to get my head around it all. Trouble is I was a Rosemary Conley follower for about 30 years so I seem to resort to her mindset quite often! I'd like to mix the two if I can.

I think I know all the diets, ha ha, just don't seem to follow any of them for very long. Rosemary's food ended up a little bland which is why I like the SW recipes.

I also like Pioneer Woman but all her recipes are heavy on fat and sugar so I am always having to re-write for us.

Thanks Helen for the name of her fb page. Yes she does look inspiring!!

Well done Donna, you are doing so well at balancing the food and weighing in at group. I agree it's not easy when someone in the family are eating things we'd like to be eating too.

Just normal life here...Joseph's had appointments so I go along too, mostly as the driver.
Group tomorrow for the social side again.

Helen I have found Dawn's healthy living and asked to be a member of the group, the photos are very inspiring aren't they!

I was very pleased to weigh myself today and find I was at target, ok so the top end of my target but it could have been worse. I had eaten more bread products on Ant's days off (Mon and Tues) this week, yes loved the hot cross buns a little too much! But for me the plan has to fit in with life too doesn't it Janet!

Hope you are keeping progressing forward Helen with Dawn's help.

Hi Helen...
No I haven't come across Dawn on fb, she sounds a real inspiration. I did look but couldn't seem to find her. Where is she from? Maybe that will help me. I think most of us struggle too.
I've just had a w/e away and eating out was a problem for me too. We just don't know how they cook the foods that we choose.

I'm not looking forward to seeing my scales tomorrow....but we just have to keep plodding on and do our best.

Hi ladies,

I am getting nowhere, ha ha. Too many other issues in life at the moment. I think what I need to learn is how to deal with restaurant meals because we go out fairly often and these always throw me.

At this rate I'll be eating only vitamin tablets on my days at home.

I follow a FB page by Dawn Cooper, she has lost about 12 stone and really struggles every day but she is an amazing inspiration. Any of you seen her?

Many congratulations to your daughter, what a great honour and how proud you must feel as parents.

Glad you took your mil to A&E and they found that fracture.
Also well done for weighing in this week and still being at target!
Aqua is excellent exercise, I always enjoyed it too.

I was poorly again with breathing issues last w/e. I seem to go from one bout to another.
This w/e we are having to move into a hotel again because of works on the railway line again...night & day until Monday 4am.
Saturday we will go and see Joseph's sister and see how she's doing.

I joined a SP challenge for 12 weeks so updated my ticker and hope that helps me make some progress on the scales. And please God...no more steroids!!
