My daughter graduated from Air Force BMT in October and that graduation ceremony is definitely a moving experience. I spent Thanksgiving weekend with her and met a group of her friends. They are such an awesome group of young men and women!

They really do mature so much during that short time. I was truly amazed at how much more grown up my son was after basic training. He's a split op soldier and did his basic training before he graduated high school.

Wow! I survived my son being in BMT with the Air Force. lol Well should I say we both survived it! It wasn't easy, but now he's in Tech School, still at Lackland and studying Security Forces. I get to hear from him a lot more, which is great! He is a little down because of the Thanksgiving Holiday approaching, but he is planning on spending Thanksgiving Day with a local family. So it is all good.

Went to see him during graduation and gained about 3 lbs, not happy with that, but I can deal with it considering we were gone for 3 weeks for an extended vacation. Now I'm trying to get in the right mindset to get back on this "new way of life" eating. I was down 55lbs now I'm only down 52. Ugh! Getting back in the mindset is going to be the trick to continued success.

Just wanted to let any one out there who is going through the Basic Training withdrawals from their loved one. It will go fast, it will get better, and your loved one will change a lot, for the better. I know mine did! Anyways, just wanted to get back into the swing of things and give a post. Thanks everyone for being there!

Have a great Thanksgiving, and Christmas everyone.
