Morning ladies... Happy Monday?!! This is my week like you two!!! hee hee
Started off sad, I was supposed to go to lunch with my two BFF's and one had to cancel. She has family coming in, unexpected, for a couple days due to a funeral in Boston. So their house is a good middle (they are coming from Canada). I understand, but was just looking forward to it I guess. Oh well...
We had a nice and Blessed Easter. I always LOVE serving at masses, but able to do the Easter one is like a blessing. Sadly our Msgr. who was going to say the mass, was having knee issues and in a lot of pain, so he couldn't. It was still nice. Praying for him!
After that was home with the cubs, hanging out for a few hours... taking pictures... baskets, and goofing off. It was nice. Then off to Grammie's house. It was supposed to be my SIL and it ended up she couldn't do it last minute, so was at Grammie's... God is good! Was very nice day.
Susi... so glad you had a nice day. I understand how you feel about the snacks. Remember when you said they were gone so quickly and I wondered if someone was taking them?! I could see your Dad offering it, and then they keep coming back. Hope I'm wrong, but...
As for the cost, I totally understand! I would get mad at the cubs for sharing their snacks with friends. Well, there is sharing and then EVERYDAY bring two, one for them and on for a friend. And we are in a town that MOST people have so much more money then us!!! You want to teach the cubs to be nice and share, but also how we only have so much and that was to last two weeks, not one!
It's so hard with your Dad too. Hoping you talking to him helped! Don't feel bad though, I'm sure you were nice! Sadly, he's probably forgotten about it, so don't worry! HUGS!
TJ... haaa haaa!!!
Auntie Cyndie... So glad to read Kim came over for Easter! I'm happy you all had a nice day together!!! What a blessing!
As for your gym, that's awesome! Love the classes and it'll keep it no boring! Hope you have fun! Always good to go to the gym and enjoy it!
Speaking of health, at Easter it seemed like all people talked about was weigh loss! My MIL has lost 19 lbs and is at her perfect weight! Her doctor said to lose NO more! Then my SIL and her husband have been doing a diet and he lost 33 lbs and her 19 lbs. This is the SIL my MIL wanted to make sure had a salad at Little Cub's party.
Anywho, I just thought they were watching what they ate. NOPE. They are doing that Keto diet. I remembered seeing an article on SP about how they are not fans of it (looked up the article this morning and read it). It sounded all good listening to my SIL till she started saying all the fruits and veggies I can't eat... Bananas, little strawberries, no hommus... those are three things I have each day to eat better, and now I can't! No carrots... another side Papabear and I have often!!
I knew right away this was NOT for me. They they talked how they get constipated. Definitely NOT something I want. Right now with my periods that is happening and I hate it! I like being normal!!! Anywho, if anything good came out of it, it was hearing how they lost 33 and 19 lbs! Made Papabear and I excited, again, to get back in the gym wagon and just be good and eliminate some foods, or very little. You can't have any pasta on Keto... that would be very hard for me... I have already eliminated it from every week, to 1 or two times a month. But none, ever?!!? No I'm good! I believe in not eliminating foods you like from your diet and learning moderation! Example, Ice cream! I have been VERY good. Had some at Little Cub's bday party, but before that... it's been a while!
So Papabear and I decided to head to the gym, eat better foods, and show the family weight loss can be done with out fad diets, and in a healthy way! Hey, my 70 something MIL did it and lost 19 pounds... I can do this too!
Okay, I'm done... sorry, hee hee
On that note, time to run errands for Older Cub and Papabear. Since my lunch was canceled, maybe I'll pick up a nice salad...
Oh, I forgot... on that Keto diet, you are supposed to have the heavy creams and salad dressings that aren't good for you. What?!!? Lots of what they said was total opposite of what SP teaches you. Nope, SP it is... hee hee
Have a good day ladies!
