I belong to another team that sent out a simple questionnaire on Survey Monkey for folks to anonymously be able to talk about what does and does not work for them on the team and if or how changes could be helpful.
I am wondering if the top leaders of the BLCs would consider doing this as a better way to get feedback from the members of the teams. I am thinking it could lead to better participation in ITCs and team member retentions.
What do you think?

Hi All,
Hope everyone is having a good start on the week.

Gingerpaws: first you have to take care of your heart. Follow your physician's instructions.

You do have control of your diet so stick with it. Tighten up on indiscretions such as that little piece of sweet or those yummy chips...that sort of thing. Important for overall health is drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day. It's also great for your heart as it flushes out salt and hydrates you .

So buck up girl! You CAN do this!!! We all have times we must adapt our regimens. I just had a really rough patch with diverticulitis and had to eat foods not on the diet and I couldn't exercise. I was worried I'd lose ground. My doctor told me the first job is to get well, try to do what you can and once better back to the plan. I plateaued for a bit but it then got back on track.

Know you have lots of caring friends here...lean on us when you need to .

Sharon: Hang in there, do what your doctor says you should do until he gives the go ahead. That is what I am doing. I am waiting until the PT person gives me the go ahead to start working out at the gym again

I haven't been as active as I should. I have been dealing with heart related issues since February. I have had two stress tests and found out that the top of the heart is deteriorating. So in four weeks I go in for a heart Cath to see what the damage is.

I have been told no exercise except for walking 5 minutes a day.

Since last August I have lost 54 pounds while working out with a trainer twice a week.

But now I fear that I might gain some of that back.

I hope whoever reads this has an awesome week.

Hello Troops!

I tried out my girlfriend's smoothie recipe that my diet doc didn't find fault with. Here's the recipe:

Smoothie

1-2 handfuls of Organic Spinach Tripled Washed
1 cup Coconut Water
1 1/2 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
1/2 cup peaches
1/2 a mango
1/2 Tsp Sesame Seeds
4 oz of plain yogurt (or cottage cheese)
Blend until smooth and enjoy.

Note: you can switch up fruit as you like it, for example: blueberries and orange and strawberries.

I love gardening and we don't need to go to store to get our veggies/fruit during the spring/summer because we grow it all! So I eat a lot of good for me foods right from my home!

Sharing a healthy food I ate this week.......

This Sunday, pasta day - I used spiraled zucchini and squash as a filler for my pasta. Worked out well - with the tomato sauce on it, I barely noticed I was eating veggies!

Hey all. My go to exercise is the treadmill. I hop on and put on an episode of criminal minds and away I go. I did have a fun walk outside the other day. We walked the pig down to the creek and played in the creek with her and the dogs. It was hysterical. I have been getting some yummy veggies from the garden to munch on. Hope everyone is having a great summer challenge!

Looking for healthy food? Try fresh fruit topped with a dollop (or two) of Greek yogurt. Alternatively, blend frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, and a banana with a bit of almond milk to make a refreshing smoothie.

If you can't get motivated to get up and exercise, try working your legs while lying down. Bridges (both legs or single legs) are a great way to work your hamstrings, glutes, and quads: www.sparkpeople.com/resource

My healthy food is twice this week I got the fruit bowl instead of fries. I love fresh fruit this time of the year so it was not that hard to do.

My favorite exercise is walking. I love to be outside even in the winter. I try to vary speed and really push myself to go faster.

My healthy food I ate was chef salad Saturday but I eat cumber, tomatoes, strawberries, banana, every day.

I really don't like exercise but choosing one it would be walking. I don't mind walking.

Healthy foods that I ate for the Bingo challenge are: Bananas, cucumbers, grapes, watermelon. ON Saturday night I had an awesome chef's salad with hydroponic grown lettuce. It was super yummy!
