These ladies give good advice...you should set small, attainable goals and the main thing is to not beat yourself up...we all are here for a reason and with support and encouragement, we can all meet our goals...just don't give up! emoticon

You have to make a decision. You have to make up in your own mind that you can make the changes in your food and exercise. Don't try to do it all in one week or even two. Take maybe 30 days and make adjustments. One week - track on SP - next week - walk 15 mins the first half of the day and 15 the last half - the next week - get your water consumption under control. Just a little at a time. It will work. Spark People has all the tools that you need. Be sure to read stories and videos from other SP on how they've done well. But most of all BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. We're here to help and encourage.

We have all been there, you start each day as your first and take the first step.
Do a clean out of pantry and mind set, when you feel like you want to eat more than planed exercise, take a walk, just keep moving you will be distracted .
Do you like dancing, well put your fave tunes on and move girl.
Enjoy we are all watching and cheering you on. God bless

I gained four pounds last week and did not like what I saw in the mirror also. I am already over weight. I logged all my food daily and made updates during the day to ensure that I did not go over my calorie count. If I ate too much then I would eat a salad for dinner. I have lost three pounds since Monday as a result. Self hate wont help us but changing our behavior will. Try to exercise for thirty minutes three times a week and then add weight lifting twice a week to build muscle. The diet is the most important thing. We will get there one day at a time. If you make a mistake forgive yourself and start over but try to be accountable. We are here for you!

Four days ago while residing in a hotel on vacation, I was looking in a door mirror and sitting on the bed looking at my 400 plus body and begin to think what did I do to myself. That was the first time in my life that I truly looked at me and hated the person I was looking at. I decided that it was time for a change but why? The question is how to set a goal that will overwhelm me. I eat very dangerously; once a day sometimes, binge eat too often. Need support and advice to change it.
