DS7 got a game for his DS, a Spiderman ice pack for his lunchbox, and a little bit of candy.

My 2 foster daughters are low on spring and summer clothes. I think I will buy them 2 or 3 outfits apiece. I might get them each a stuffed toy. I will be very minimal with the candy.

My kids will get a bit of candy and then a toy and some shorts/summer clothes. My mom always gave us shorts in our basket and I loved it!

bubbles, jump ropes, chalk, books and maybe a chocolate bunny and some jelly beans! But not overloading them with sugar!

I love that easter time usually signals that warm weather is not far behind, so I usually put toys for outside (chalk, balls, bats, etc) in my son's basket. A few pieces of candy, but not much. He only asks for it if he knows it's there, otherwise he's happy with fruit or yogurt for a snack.

All things are possible through him.

I do put a little candy in their baskets, but I never have put a lot in there. I have two 9 year olds and a 5 year old. I haven't decided yet, but thinking about bubbles, webkinz for the girls and a small lego set for my son. I usually do a book or crayons and color book. We'll have to see when the time comes.

I have a 9 yr. old daughter who will turn 10 the weekend after Easter. So I'm not exacly sure yet, but she'll have to have a chocolate rabbit.

We live in a garden, a garden of our words.

I am filling the eggs for the yard with money. Better than candy and they are way into money these days. Baskets in doing video renal coupons, roller skating passes, and stuff for the pool. Maybe socks and hair wrappers for my daughter.trying to stay away for sweets so i might get them dark chocolate sense its better for there bodies. And mine...lol

Definately jelly beans, a chocolate bunny, and a peep. But since my kids are 9,5, and my twins are 3 1/2 and the twins don't do sugar well- it's makes them sick. So we don't do a lot of the candy, they'll get books and little toys too. emoticon

I don't put a lot of candy, they get plenty from my parents. I usually toss most of it in the trash (after they are asleep).

I put earrings & necklaces, socks, hair accessories and a Target gift card in their baskets.

I used to look forward to tons of candy in my basket and we would literally make ourselves sick eating all the sugar. When my daughter was 1 and got her first Easter basket I realized that I had put a ridiculous amount of candy in it. I decided I didn't want my kids to grow up like me. Now we put plastic eggs filled with mini marshmallows, jello eggs, chalk, hair ties for the girls, and spider man for my son in the baskets. I try to be creative and there is always a little chocolate and the all get a Peep. They get candy at church, from friends and from grandma. Who needs all that sugar? They are sweet enough already. This year I am using green tissue paper made of post consumer material instead of grass to save myself the messy clean up.

I have 15 & 11 yr old sons and a 7 yr old daughter. I do put candy in their baskets because that is what they look forward to from the Easter Bunny but I also try to put something other than candy, maybe gift cards for my sons and books, jump rope, chalk or videos for my daughter. My mom used to make each one of us nine kids an Easter basket all the way up until I graduated high school. I want to carry on that tradition for my kids.

I have a 2 year old and an 11 year old, both girls. I think I am going to put a Zhu Zhu pet and the usual candy and eggs in their backets. Then the 2 year old will get some bubbles, chalk, coloring book and crayons. The 11 yr old will get some nail polish, fancy chap stick, some hair clips and a pair of sun glasses.

What are you putting in your baskets?

174 will put me at overweight, but not obese!!!
