Ok finally got it done. This is my first day on this challenge. I did the 7 minute arms workout with the ball and 14 minute basic yoga workout. Tomorrow I plan to incorporate some cardio.

I've actually been neglecting my arms because I pulled something in my shoulder area and wanted to give it time to heal. The pain is gone, but I feel really stiff around my neck. This challenge was great timing as I planned to start back into some upper body exercises. To be safe, I took it easy today and did one of the 10-ish minute Spark videos without any weights, focusing on the movement and warming up the muscles enough to stretch them.

I'm going to go to the gym, do some light cardio, and then a little bit of seated dumbell tricep extensions, bent-over rows and reverse flys. Then I'll come home and focus on abs a little more hard-core, since my cardio class tomorrow is going to kill my arms all by itself!

I've been trying to use higher weight with fewer reps. So I'll probably use 8 or 10lbs for most of it, and do 10-15 reps of each.

Neglect is not a reward. Junk is not a treat.

Happy Tuesday to you!

Summer is just around the corner for most of us. It is time to tone up our arms so we can look smashing in our swimsuits, tank tops, and sleeveless dresses.

Your challenge today is to go into the Spark Fitness area and find 3-5 arm exercises that you can do. Tailor your workout to your fitness level. You can choose to do exercises using your own resistance, balance ball, weights, or resistance bands. YOU decide how tough to make your workout. Make sure to get in 2-3 reps of each exercise.

Keep this up and your arms will look AWESOME!

Have a THOROUGHLY TONED Tuesday!
