I do spin and yoga which I am loving. I would like to do the Body Works plus Abs but I have not been able to make it there in time.

Hi. I am new to the team. I take bootcamp, bodyworks plus abs, zumba, cardio kickboxing and step sculpt classes at LA Fitness. I love the classes. They keep me going. My daughter is a great motivator for me to go. Its becoming part of my lifestyle. emoticon

Hi!

I haven't taken any classes at LA Fitness because the times don't work for me. In the past at other gyms I have enjoyed spin, step, yoga... pretty much everything. (But I was thinner then and in better shape.) Since joining LA Fitness a month ago, I work out with a group of friends at 5 AM on weekdays. We do resistance training M/W/F and cardio on T/Th.

The water fitness class is ok. It would be better if the instructor would get off the deck and into the pool. She does cover most of the body but does not do enough with abdominals.
I will try the water fitness class at another location to see if it is better.

For now I will be off of water exercise for a few weeks due to shoulder decompression surgery. It will also make it difficult to type on computer for a few weeks.

What classes are you taking?

I just joined before Thankgiving. I just had my free visit with the personal trainer to plan out the weight machines I will use (I am moving from YMCA to here). I ride the exercise bikes and plan to attend the water aerobics class. I was also told I could do my water walking and other water exercises in the lap pool. (I currently take a deep water exercise class at the YMCA that I will miss)
On Thursday I will attend the first shallow water aerobics class. I hope it goes well.

The look of the spin classes terrifies me - I don't think I have all that stamina - at the moment. Perhaps it is something I could aspire to!

Well done you.

Our gym doesn't have cardio kickboxing but it sure sounds like fun
