This is more than a year late but... Thanks MINTEXAS! lol I did get the job and I love it!

A woohoo moment was actually have three meals yesterday! Since starting my new job I hardly eat at all! And when I do munch on something, it is not the healthiest choice..

So yesterday was really the first day in I'd say weeks! Where I had a pretty healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Today I met my goal that I set on January 1, 2013. That was to log 6,000 fitness minutes here at Sparkpeople. I met that goal today and I've very proud that I did meet it. Wish I had met the weight goal but 1 out of 2 goals is not bad. Have a great day everyone and here is to a New Year and new goal.,

Great job YAMINOKODOMO, tracking is one of that hardest parts of it all for me.

On Sunday I ran my first 8K race and I got a metal for placing in the top 3 for my age category! I wasn't even expecting that but yay!

I just took my measurements. I haven't really been tracking that or my weight lately, my focus has been on marathon training and just trying to eat right.

Last time I measured I was down 19 inches.
I'm down 21.5 inches!
4 from my bust
5 from my waist
5 from my hips
7.5 from my thigh

YAY!!!

Apparently I'm changing my body composition because my weight hasn't budged all month.

Sundays are my weigh-in days and today I was 169.6. I am out of the 170's. Yahoo! The last time I was in the 160's was July of 2011. I lost 1.6 pounds in February of this year and then I had a surprise emergency bi-lateral salpingo-oophorectomy (they took out my left ovary and fallopian tube). I don't know if it was a change in hormones, a new outlook on weight loss and eating healthy, but I lost 11 pounds in the two months post-op and I am determined to keep on losing!! I am so happy to see that scale showing lower numbers as well as the tape measure. Yayyy!!!!

This past weekend I ran my first 5K. It was challenging but so worth it. The volunteers were so nice and sweet, cheering the runners on. What a great experience. I'm looking forward to my 8K (5M) on May 12th.

I had the turkey apple cheddar sandwich and a side salad and it came out to about 450 calories. Dinner had to be light- salad with chicken. Totally worth it!!

I did gain a little back due to Easter gatherings and the cold didn't help with that but the cold is gone (all but a slight cough) so I'm back at the gym today. I can't take any more time off if I'm going to be ready for a marathon in September emoticon

A baby shower last weekend upped my weight by 3 lbs emoticon
I got it back down a little and then got hit with a cold that upped my weight by 1 lb emoticon

I got into major cold treatment, liquids, liquids, liquids, oranges, soups...

SOKKERNUT I'm an under eater too. I rarely feel hungry. Try some almonds. They're great for getting in more calories and while they are high in fats they're high in polyunsaturated fats which are good for you.

Dang girl, you totally set the bar on calories burned! Great job.

I'm now 1 lb away from my April 1st goal. emoticon I could burst I'm so happy because I 'know' I will be hitting my goal. It's like being a meter from the finish line in a race and not even being tired, you just know. LOL but, after I hit that goal I want to lose another 30-ish to get down to my ideal body weight. Good news is, If you add the 2 goals together, I'll already be halfway there (almost) emoticon

Sorry to hear you have been struggling with back and knee pain, that is a double whammy. YAYYY For you not being in pain today.

Today I had a great hard workout, and I also on top of that told hubby I would go wogging with him after work! I already burned 906 calories! My knees are bugging me a bit but I will still go if hubby wants to. Can you imagine I go wogging that will be another 400 calories burned (maybe a lil less today not as hot lower 70s and really windy, which won't be good for my sinus).

SOKKERNUT, I think gaining only 2 pounds while on vacation is a success. A two pound fluctuation is normal.

I have been struggling with back and knee pain.. today I was able to work hard. and I AM NOT IN PAIN. I'm very happy about it :)

Thanks PAMDAQTPI I call it a success b/c normally when on trips I gain 5-8 lbs. emoticon And it is not so much from eating b/c we are very active on vacations/trips BUT it is the not eating and skipping meals ALOT that does it, though I try as hard not to let it happen. And we have another trip coming up next week. emoticon

I have been working hard and I had those 2 lbs off in a week. Yesterday I had great w/o session burned 874 calories! YAYYYY Today I took a REST DAY.

This is going to sound like bragging but here goes:

Today I hit multiple milestones emoticon
1) I am down 25.4 lbs which means I hit another 5 lb down mark!

2) I weigh less than my husband, when we started he weighted 5 lbs less than me and in the beginning he was losing it quicker so I had lots of ground to make up

3) I am no longer classified as "obese" - though I carry my weight well and despite everyone I know having a hard time believing it, I was technically 'obese' according to my BMI. But now I'm 'overweight'. I never thought I'd be so happy about being called 'over weight'.


Oh heck yes, there is no stopping me now!

Great job SACHABEE, I'm sure you'll hit your March 25th goal in no time.

SOKKERNUT: I also have mother in law issues, but for me it's the wine and good cooking. I learned long ago we get along better when we're drinking wine and as much as I can dislike her at times her cooking is still phenomenal! I'd eat more and more dinner over dessert any time...then again the pineapple upside down cake was really tasty too... (must be some evil plot to get me fat).

DORKWYNN: I've started so many times I've lost count. Make sure you have a good support network and a goal to keep you accountable. Me and my friends are doing a 12 week challenge to see who can lose the biggest percentage of weight and it's kept me accountable and now I'm finally sticking to it. Find your own version of the 12 week challenge and stick to it. :D

My arms are being sculpted my hubby pointed out the definition the other day which I hadn't even noticed! emoticon

Non-related working out success: Since I have been retired I have not gotten sick, so it was definitely the smoking in the office that was making my heart issues worse.

Today I finished the 30 Day Shred!!!

I lost:
~ 7.2 lbs (some reviewers had a few lbs drop just after finishing the video so I hope that happens for me too)
~ 9 inches!
~ baby pouch (I had a baby 8 months ago)
~ depressed feelings
~ self doubt

I gained:
~ lean and toned arms, legs, butt, shoulders and core
~ self respect
~ confidence
~ physical ability (I couldn't do more than 2 push-ups, now I can do the walking push-ups!)
~ A smile and tears of happiness


I DID IT!!! :'D

Someday is today!
