I didn't know she left the team either - I just assumed (you know where ASSume gets you!) that she got busy and decided to step down as leader. I think 'everybody's' been gone for quite a while - there's just this small group of 6 - 8 who post and huddle. But what the hey, we manage, lol...

"All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous unpremeditated act without the benefit of experience."
Henry Miller

Good morning. Another hot day. The good thing is I don't have trouble getting my water.

We were about about a mile into our 3 mile walk this morning when Mutt had to pee. He peed on a cactus. The kind that has a long spine with little spines around the big one. I thought he was crazy but he didn't seem to care, but he didn't seam to care. He must have gotten some little spines in his leg because when we got home, even before breakfast he lag down in the living room and chewed on that leg. When he was done I looked at it, but he must have been able to take care of things himself, I didn't find anything.

I'd say this answers the question - there are five of us. We can 'team by committee,' with a number like that, lol.

If you consider the Class Team to be a tool in your toolbox, what would work for you? How can it help you attain your goal(s)? There are obviously lots of areas of SP that cover information, recipes, exercises, encouragement, motivation... where can this fit in to lend a hand in this network?

Ideas and suggestions welcome. Anticipated. Eagerly sought, even!

Around here you're only allowed to run your sprinklers 3 days per week, and you can be fined if you water the gutters and the sidewalk. But our apartment complex waters every morning (loooong before the sun comes up) and waters the sidewalks and the parking lot quite profusely. Another go figure. emoticon

There was much rejoicing!

I wish I had a job to worry about. The city says people can only run their sprinklers before sun rise and after sun set, but this is a county park. Go figure.

The sprinklers at our apartment go off at about 4:30 in the morning and I can't take advantage of them because I don't want to be wet when I get to work. emoticon (Also, it's not nearly as hot at 4:30 in the morning as it is at 1:30 in the afternoon.)

There was much rejoicing!

Sounds like a great thing to do on a hot summer day! There's a city near here with a sort of fountain 'grid'; the catchment basin is below ground. The water shoots up about six feet into the air, continuously, then drains back down into the basin, where it's recirculated. The grid is a non-slip surface that's very 'feet friendly.' On hot days (and yes, they do occasionally happen, lol) you can see kids of all ages over among the water-spouts, playing and splashing and getting cool. More fun than plain ol' swimming, thinks me--!

I have my 10 year old grand daughter this summer. Her solution for the summer heat is to run in ever sprinkler she can find. Yesterday we went to the park. They were watering the soccer field. She decided it was a good time to play soccer. I have to admit I joined her.

Too true, and as MaryAlice said so appropriately, most of the darn country is really hot right now. Complaining about it may make me feel better for a short while, but it's sure not going to change it. (But don't expect me to stop being unhappy about it and complaining a bit... emoticon )

There was much rejoicing!

Oh, I'd love to be one of those...and if I was, I'd probably be griping about that, too. emoticon Never happy with what we have...though it would be a lot easier for me to be happy with being cold than with being too hot...(my MS does NOT like hot.)
