My new fave cardio is Zumba. Didn't think I would like it but I love it! It feels like a dance party but it also makes you work hard.

I like to take runs through my neighborhood. I get in some exercise and I usually get stopped a few times to talk, but it is a nice break at random spots on the run. When I am not stopped though I can usually make 9 miles in about 90 minutes...up and down hills plus a lot of dead end roads I have to stop and turn around...not to mention I carry an extra 50 lbs to make it easier when I do want to do a marathon...lol

Recumbent cycle for an hour and half (30+ Kilometers) then running on treadmill for as long as my heart desires. Generally 60 minutes or more. Followed by walking with my kids up hills and finished off with some strengh and core exercises! I sleep well at night if I can mange to get the baby to sleep:)

At the present moment, I am doing 60 minutes on the treadmill and 60 minutes around the track in my gym, six days a week.

I am beginning weight lifting here very soon, so these numbers will likely see a dramatic decrease.

My fave way seems to be running on the trails in the woods near us. If the woods are too soggy from rain (which we get plenty of around here) I will often run on the streets, though it's not my fave thing to do.

At the gym I use the bike and then tredmill, but I really don't feel like that gets me much cardio, and I'm not too fond of running on the tredmill, though I'm slowly getting use to it.

When the weather stinks I have a tendency to stay home and use the XBox we got for Christmas. I love Dance Central. Sometimes it feels like its cheating because it's fun, but I certainly work up a sweat and get tired.

I'm a new fan of Zumba. So fun! But most often I just get on the treadmill. It's easier to track numbers that way.

Zumba!! I do it 4-5 times at the Pearland YMCA and love, love, LOVE it! Each class has a different instructor and is different from week to week. That keeps me interested and challenged, especially when they work in a new routine. I have also started running/jogging and hope to do some 5 and 10K fun runs this year.

I do it first, and I'm at the point where I've worked myself up to tracking miles on the treadmill and not how long I am working out for. I do the treadmill, then the total gym. I mix in a Jillian Michaels DVD another day and it all seems to keep me from being bored with the same routine.

Every day I walk the dog at least once, usually twice, about a mile minimum (20 min), half mile if I'm really crunched for time. That's not a lot of calories for me, but when I'm really feeling like I need to squeeze in a little more cardio for the week - I can always step right outside my door and walk some on. And the dog is always delighted!*

But my favorite way to really work it is hula hooping. I get together with some other hoopers once a week and hoop for an 1-2 hours. It's the most fun I've ever had sweating! Everyone should try it!

* A note about walking with the dog. She always wants to stop and sniff stuff. I want to keep moving. My solution to this problem is that we have a retractable leash, so when she stops to sniff, I just keep walking.

If she's resisting coming along by the time I've walked the leash all the way out, I walk back to where she is, then turn around and walk away again. This gives her extra "sniff time" but keeps me moving...

(When the leash runs out the second time, though, that's it - it's drag away time!... and she knows it, so it's easier.)

-Alison

I like variety. Some days it's doing a workout DVD, like Turbo jam, some days it's going for a walk outside and lately, it's hitting the gym and jumping on the elliptical. The more I mix it up the better I am at being consist.

Jazzercise because it's easier to commit to working out with their fixed schedule. All I have to do is make sure I've got a gym bag packed in the car at all times.

Too many times I get home thinking I'll pull my bike out or go for a walk and end up on the couch for the night.

Definitely running outside around nice scenery or swimming - the elliptical is an ok substitute as well as Billy Blanks.... I love walking with my dogs too - but not much of a workout since they have to stop and smell everything...lol :-)

Running!!! I run on my treadmill during the winter, and run outside when it's nice. I also just got an elliptical, which I've been using here and there between hard running days.

Elliptical machine for sure. I have bad knees and ankles so running is out of the question. The bike is too boring and does not burn enough calories.

Since starting Zumba that's my favorite Cardio exercise. I may not be coordinated enough to get all the moves, but I am really working it out!

Definitely running outside, unless the weather is really awful, and then it's the treadmill

One of the dvd's that I have is Leslie Sansone! I really like her workouts. She is easy to follow. I just got a new dance fitness dvd today with MaDonna Grimes; it is more intense than Leslie's but it is really fun!

I'm not comfortable going anywhere to exercise right now, so I am liking Walk-fit and Dance fitness DVD's that I can do in the privacy of my bedroom.

Eliptical is my fave machine. Jogging in scenery is great if the weather is just right.

Crossing country skiing would be my favorite activity. Just picked up Wii Active Life Outdoor Challenge and I've got to tell you it's a lot of fun and an easy way to get your heart rate up!

I like walking. I also don't mind the elliptical machine, because we have those ones with the foot pads on a tilted track--making it much easier on my ankles.

When it's nice I like to go to a park nearby and run on the trail with the high hills. When it's cold I like either the Elliptical or the Concept 2 Rower. The rower is nice because I can bring it up and do it while watching Biggest Loser... keeps me going.

My favorite is the elliptical machine. I also use the treadmill and stairclimber. At home I climb the stairs in my complex, do the 30-day Shred or Tae-Bo.

I recently bought a treadmill so I would have to say that that would be my favorite cardio at the moment. I also switch the cardio up when I am on the treadmill so somedays I just walk but try to move the incline up and down, and on other days I jog on the treadmill. When it finally starts to warm up I hope to get active outside with my son.

What do you most enjoy for a cardio workout?

When the weather is right my 2 fave things to do are walk and swim.

When the weather isn't so great, I love doing a Leslie Sansone Walk at Home DVD.

What about you?
