Hi everyone, i'm Karla. This is my 5th day on Spark People and i hope to reach my goal by next year May. I'm waaay over 200lbs but i'm 5 feet 11 inches so some people think i'm just overweight rather than really obese. I don't have any kids so it's not baby fat...just a girl who tends to over-eat and not check the calories on stuff. The nutrition and fitness trackers are awesome! Now i'm learning to control myself.

Please send me a friend request if you wanna be buddies....we all need all the help and motivation we can get!

Hey Everyone... I'm apologizing now if I did this wrong bc it's my first post. My name is Antonia, and I'm attempting (for the umpteenth time) to drop about 70 lbs. I lost about 24 earlier this year by participating in a boot camp and more than half has found its way back. I realized what helped me be the most successful was the support from my team. I really need to do this, bc aside from being tired of saying that I will, my health is starting to be effected. Any advice or words of encouragement is welcome :)

HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!
My name is Jessica, I am 28 years old, and I would like to lose 87 pounds. I just got married July 24th and I LOVE being married. My husband and I are both trying out SparkPeople. We are really wanting to start a family but I WILL NOT be pregnant and unhealthy. I was a ballet dancer for 15 years and I honestly feel like I am wearing a Fat Suit. I also have NASH (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease I only have 40% of a normal working liver. NASH and can improve with weight lose...SO HERE I AM !!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone! I'm Carrie and I'm 26 years old. It's my goal to lose 75 pounds and get down to 150. I am in 2 weddings next summer for friends from College and I do not want to be the bridesmaid that is overweight. Hello I'm Nicole 27 years old. This is my 3rd time trying Spark and I'm hoping the use of the forums will help me stick with it. I celebrated my 8th anniversary this month, looked back at photos from when I got married......2 kids and 67 pounds ago, and remember back then I thought I needed to lose weight! Hello!
I'm pretty new to this site (if I post this incorrectly, I apologize!) But so far so good on getting the hang of things. I've been pretty heavy for a while now, though I did lose some weight a couple years ago. Then I was working third shift so it found it's way back. I'm really committing myself this time, but taking baby steps to not burn myself out. Hopefully this will help motivate me too.

HI! I'm Kaitlyn. I just turned 19 in May, but I want to lose 85 pounds before my 20th birthday! I am a university student (going into my sophomore year) and I am tired of being "the fat girl". Hi Everyone - this is my first post to a page on Spark so I'm apologizing in advance if I've done it wrong!

I'm going to be 27 in a couple months and have been up and down pounds the past couple years (nothing drastic just 20lbs at my best). Usually about the time I see a picture where I look really fat does the trick. However I can't seem to stick with programs. So far I'm loving SparkPeople and love all the information available. My inspiration is graduating with my MBA next spring and being a slimmer version walking across the stage to get hooded. emoticon I also have my 10 year high school reunion next summer and I want to be in better shape...and impressive! :)

I'm Christa and since I'm turning 24 towards the end of the month, I decided I should get my health in order. I've struggled with my weight since middle school, but gained A LOT after graduating from high school and heading off to college (freshman 15? PAH. More like freshman 50, it was bad).

A few years later and I'm finally ready to accept that this will take hard work and that, despite all wishes otherwise, I will not wake up one day and miraculously be 100 pounds smaller than I currently am. Wish me luck!

Hi Everyone! I'm 28 years old and I'm new to sparkpeople. I've tried a lot of weight loss gimmicks and diets in the past but now I'm just trying to lose the weight and get fit and healthy.

My husband and I work out three times a week but I'm noticing I'm not really losing much weight. I needed to change my food intake. I'm trying to lose 50 pounds and then create another goal. I also want to get motivated to bump my exercise up to five times a week.

Hi Everyone! I'm Krista, I'm 28 and from Charlotte. I've been on this weight roller coaster and I want OFF!

I'd like to lose about 60 pounds, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. 55 down is the lowest I've ever been as an adult, and I was extremely happy with my weight at that point, so we shall see.

I love playing sports, I play flag football and volleyball, and have just started training for a 5k.

hi my name is sarrah and I'm from tasmania which is the tiny island below australia. Hi everyone!!! My name is Sam and I'm 23. I was fat in high school and decided I didn't want to be fat in college so my weight loss journey began. I did extremely well the first 2 years or so but things got really out of hand and what started out as getting healthy turned into an obsession with being thin. My lowest weight was 105lbs which is not healthy for me. I was diagnosed with anorexia-weird huh? I used to be really fat and then I was anorexic....anyways. After seeing several doctors and a nutritionist, I began eating again. However, now things are even worse than before. I am at 240lbs. I have gained over 100lbs, since last May. Yea, you heard right. I have gained over 100lbs. in a year. I still struggle with an eating disorder-Binge eating. I still see a therapist and I am starting to exercise again. I want to get healthy without getting out of control again. I don't want to be fat forever!! I am looking to meet people that can help me stay motivated and vice versa.

I'm ready to be happy again.

Hello everyone! My name is Brittany. I have been on Spark people for almost 4 years now. I believe I started when I was in college my freshman year. I didn't start really utilizing it until I was a junior. I weighed 167 lbs, my heaviest ever, and got down to 141 lbs. Back then my goal was to get down to 125 lbs and I never got there. Now, I am even heavier, 180 lbs. I am miserable, feel awful, unattractive and am looking to get down to 125 lbs again for a total weight loss of 55 lbs. This time I will make it... Hi everybody! My name is Angela and I'm 21 years old. I just went to the doctor yesterday and realized that I'm at 221 pounds, which is much more than I thought. I'm a senior in college and I've steadily gained weight these past four years. All throughout high school I was very active in sports and I danced five times a week, for three hours a day! Then, when I graduated high school, all that activity stopped and the weight gain started. Hey everyone! I just joined sparkpeople today and so far, I love it! I go to the gym solo, so I don't have many people to talk about what I've been doing and what my goal is and I think that's achievable here :) I'm looking to lose 60 .lbs or so by this time next year.. I know its not doable by the summertime, so I set a more realistic goal for myself.

I'm a picky eater.. have a terrible sweet tooth, so I'm ALWAYS open for suggestions as to what I should eat that doesn't involve Pop Tarts ;)

hey everyone!! im laurel and im 23 and 248lbs. i have always had trouble with my weight, even as a little kid. most of my life, i had been pretty active with softball, track swimming and weight lifting. life after high school however, has been pretty bleak in exercize. i am very interested in getting back into a working out routine, i just bought a 3pack of dvds by jillian michaels. im hoping that by sticking to those, it will help me work my way up to a gym. i have huge insecurities with my appearance which is why im here. i hope that by joining spark people and journaling my diet/exercize will keep me on track this time. i have a lot at stake this time around. in august, my best friend is getting married and i hope to look fabulous. im sick and tired of being the fat, funny friend. im so excited that a week into this, im still motivated. Hi! I'm Hallie and I'm 23. I weigh 204lb, which actually came as a shocker at the doctor's office. I never really realized how out of control I had gotten! I'm really making a commitment to losing the weight slowly and keeping it off, and I hope that joining a team like this will prevent that from just being lip service. I love to cook and finding healthy recipes is a lot of fun for me. I think my biggest challenge is getting moving. I'm a writer, and sometimes I get so caught up that I don't leave the house all day. But I've been making an effort to exercise everyday, even if it's only a little. I'm also using Alli, and haven't had any of those embarrassing side-effects that people warned me about, haha!

Hi! I'm Melinda and I'm 27. I'm currently weighing in at 207.6 and NOT happy about it. I felt reckless and out of control. Since joining Spark, I am managing what I eat much better which is great. I tried yoga today - different, not sure if I'm in love with it but I did feel good when it was finished. I am still trying to get strength training and sweaty cardio worked into my day. I'm an 8th grade teacher and am currently working towards an second master's degree in administration. In an unsatisfying relationship and that needs to change too!

Hey everyone!! My name is Charlene and I am fat! I need as much help and support as I can get. My 10 year high school reunion is in September and I really want to be fit. I am 208 and my goal is to lose 60 lbs. Not all at once! I want to take my time and do it right so I can keep it off!!! I am for sure a joker so please dont take me to seriously! Hope we can be friends and awesome team mates! emoticon
