I love having scientific fact to back up my addicti.. erm.. need for dark chocolate!

I was using EAS Vanilla pro-powder (easily found at Target). I've since found Optimum Nutrition Natural 100% Whey Gold Standard and use it every morning in my coffee. Pretty happy with it thus far.

Stevia has been my go-to for coffee and tea as well, although I'm considering tracking down Just Like Sugar to give it a try.

The closer to whole food the better, but I don't think I'll give up every sweet, ever.

I think the dark chocolate is fine; after all, the AMA confirmed that we women need our chocolate for our well-being! ;)

As far as sweeteners, for coffee, I use Stevia, for tea, honey.

At work, if I make a cup of coffee (we have the Keurig machines), instead of sweetener & non-dairy creamer, I'll add a packet of sugar-free cocoa mix.

But, the sugars in our foods and energy supplements really are hard to deal with, I agree. So, which energy powder did you switch to? My Coach has me on UCANN.

It's hard! ~end whine..~ LOL
Actually it's been enlightening. I found my protein powder of choice was chock full of artificial sweeteners, so I've switched to something better. I've been able to reduce sweeteners in my coffee and green tea. I'm a helpless addict when it comes to a simple dark chocolate square in the evening. I'm much better at reducing rather than eliminating all together.

All things in moderation, right?

Would anyone be interested in joining in and kicking sugar and sweeteners to the curb for the month of February?

Parameters are still being laid out (and there may be an allowance made for Valentine's Day) but I wanted to toss this out there to y'all to think about before the start on February 1st.

Let me know what you think!
